Hi again, Patricia, and thank you! Yes, the viewer comments about using dryer sheets, etc. really does connect with many - and I wish I'd thought to use pinking shears, as one other person mentioned! It's a fun community to learn in!
Hi Anne! Love this sweet project! So many possibilities! It´s perfect for Valentine, a Birthday, etc. We can write messages! The little banner is so cute! Thank you so much for sharing!🩷🩷🩷🩷🌹🌹🌹🌹
How wonderful. Love this video and this little heart with the hand stitching. Makes it look vintage. ☺️ I was thinking of using a used drier sheet torn in pieces for the stuffing. Great way to recycle the sheet. I save a few in my stash to use with Mod Podge to create texture on paper.☺️ Thank you Anne. 🤗❤️
Another option for stuffing material: Swiffer style dusting sheets. It's going to be a little flatter than using wads of the fluffy stuff. But if it's all that one has on hand ... I've used it for small applications with bas relief style paper art.
What a great idea. One thing I thought of was. To try using simple cookie cutters for patterns. I think that would make fun tiny tuck ins. Thank you for sharing. Have a great day.
These remind me of the Mexican folk art tin sacred hearts ♥️ they inspire me to want to make my own paper interpretation of that! 😊what a fun activity and I love the squishie! TFS!
You had me at Squishy! 😂 such fun! I love this project! I always try to keep a ready stash of tea dyed paper handy ,so I will make some hearts out of that for my base. I also have a lot of upcycled and deconstructed tea bags that I will use. Can't wait to get started! Thanks for another great project idea. Happy New Year! ❤
Thanks, Claire! Yes, what is it about 'squishy' that appeals to all of us so much? It was fun to discover a way to incorporate it. Thanks for your support!
Good ideas 💡 I was thinking of trying one made out of fabric. also thought of trying the paper one using leftover Christmas wrapping paper for stuffing just to use it up but I do have the batting on hand as well. I think one made of fabric using your idea of a fabric softener might be nice to place in a dresser drawer for a nice smell, and a used one like you suggested for in the journal one.😊❤🎉 crafty fun!
Another great idea, and make ahead a few to take along to slow stitch as your waiting in doc office etc etc A few of my friends get together every couple weeks to “stitch and bitch”. I usually knit, but currently in between projects. So these would be great to take. Love them. Have a wonderful weekend (It’s getting really cold here in Michigan. As it should be, it’s January! )

Those look like Tibetan prayer flags on the heart you showed. I did a collage of a Tibetan flag garden that my daughters neighbors had. I sent you a Pic at your email. Super cute. Love the noise when you squeeze it. Love always and forever, suzy😊❤❤❤
Merci beaucoup, Marilyne ! C'est tellement agréable de te regarder et je suis si heureuse que tu trouves des idées grâce à cette chaîne. Bonne année à toi et aux tiens également !
Good morning! And Happy New Year to you!! So, so sweet! I love it. I’ve made similar little puffy pillows to hang on the seasonal tree I keep up in my kitchen, but never ever thought to make one for a journal. Delightful idea!
I think these would be cute to make out of fabric too, also for the paper one, I might try one using leftover Christmas wrapping paper for the stuffing just to see if that would work as well, I do have the batting and will try that too, this has sparked my “what else can we do and use “ 🧠 craft brain, Thanks for sharing. Thanks for a darling idea which sparks so many different possibilities. Reading the comments brings even more ideas.❤❤❤

Good morning. Thanks for sharing this cute idea. I may try stuffing with a used dryey sheet. Bunnies or eggs might be cute for Easter. Happy creating.

That is so cute-can't wait to try making some! Have you cut around the edge with pinking shears? Thanks for sharing!
Hi, Susan! I think pinking shears or deckle-edge scissors would be great to use here. I didn't happen to grab mine, but I hope you do!
