Love the use of washi tape! Wouldn't this also make a nice encouragement card, which you demonstrated a few weeks ago? A friend and I have been having fun leaving them in different places. Thanks, Anne!
Trudy, how happy I am to know you've been leaving little art surprises around for folks. Who knows how that could truly brighten someone's day! And yes, the washi design would be lovely for that! Thanks so much!
LOL, yeah, I have washi tape trust issues too! I love the blue and yellow! True story... My dad was a real estate appraiser, and if the house he was appraising had blue and yellow flowers planted in the front yard, he'd raise the value of the house by $500 (which was considerably more significant back in the day). I love the green and yellow split one too - I make a lot of tags with that 'design'. Great minds, girlfriend! 🙌 Happy weekend, Happy New Year!! Hugs, MK 🤗❤🤗
Oh, wow, that's so interesting about Dad's pricing strategy! I do LOVE the fresh look of yellow and blue together. When we were trying to sell our house in Corning, NY more than 10 years ago, our Realtor told us painting the door yellow would make it stand out. The couple who bought it told us they had long dreamed of a special house with a yellow door - so, at least in our case, it worked! Take care and use that washi, MK!
Washi is a funny thing. When I run across it in my stash, I use it and use it. Then? It goes away for a few months again. 😁 I do use my grid washi to tape down watercolor paper. Your tag and journaling card is beautiful! Your touches of color are just right. 👌 Thank you for a great video. Very fun and inspirational. Looking forward to 2025, spending mornings with you and your videos. ☔️🌧Rainy day hugs from Michigan. ❤
Welcome, Christina - I'm so happy you're joining me here! Lots of fun things coming up, too. We just relax and have fun making all sorts of papery goodness!
@@annekenlon I've always loved paper craft, and just paper in general. As a child, I saved magazine clippings, wrapping paper, boxes for future projects. I didn't know why I was so compelled to do so. Now I know, it just makes me feel happy to save my little scraps. No other explanation needed! I'm glad to discover other people in this world with similar interests!
Hi Anne. Again, it's another fun video. You mentioned you are not good with color coordination. Have you ever thought about a color wheel? They are great. Also, I thought if you ever make whimsical house's you could use this for the roof top. That would be cute. Have a great day.
Thanks for watching, Kimberly! Yep, nothing wild and crazy in my little washi collection -- I just don't have that much! I did add three mushroom-theme rolls to my stash at the Collage store, but they're vintage style.
I have way too much washi. My nieces little girls are coming over to spend a couple days with me. They love doing crafts. I’m sorting out the tape and giving them rolls I’ll never use and they can tape and stick away. 🤣. I loved Tuesday morning stores. I always found fun stuff there. Our brick and mortar stores are slowing going away sadly. I love your plan of reinvesting your $ into local stores, good plan. Have a great day. I love how these tags turned out. Fun!!
Thanks so much, Sandi! I bet your little great-nieces will have great fun playing with your supplies and will love the treasures they take home! Happy New Year, my friend!
Interesting project. I would've enjoyed seeing how the first one looked after you put the topper on. I, too, miss Tuesday Morning. I really like the Christmas cards I found there one time. :)
It is with great pride that I share that I've used up 3 rolls of washi this year. At this rate I should be able to get more in 2050😮 Very cool idea - thanks
Great idea! I love how you used your washi. Good that you ditched the Crayola pencil for the Prismacolor. I sent my Crayola colored pencils to the GW, I hated them so much. Another thing to try for adding color is a watercolor marker. Cheers and Happy New Year.
Tuesday Morning was having financial problems even before COVID. Now JoAnn Fabrics has been having financial problems as well. I know they’re chains but I don’t have much of a choice here where I live.
I didn't know JoAnn's was also struggling. Ours here in East Portland have consolidated and I seldom make it to the new one that resulted. I don't mind supporting craft chains as they do employ many local folks, as long as I don't forget the little guys, too. Thanks for your thoughtful understanding of the issue!
Hi, Kimberly! I believe Tuesday Morning does have an online presence, but I've not checked it out. Honestly, I used to have so much fun rooting through their dimly-lit back shelves - it was like a treasure hunt - I'm afraid shopping their website would just make me sad! So I don't know if they've stocked craft supplies or not.
Exactly! That's what Gayle Agostinelli, one of the true treasurers of the journal making community, does with her "Forgotten Friends Friday" series. I always love seeing that and Gayle inspires me every time.
This was fun. Think I like the half torn page, but love the leftovers too. Really like the botanical pages. Thank you Anne.🤗🥀
Thanks so much, Lynda! It was a fun way to use a little-used supply for me.

Loved this very entertaining video, Anne. I, too, miss Tuesday morning!
Thank you, my sweet, sweet sister!
Very fun tags Anne!
Thank you, Daisy, I appreciate that so much!
I love the patterns you chose in your washi for these. The blues and greens are sooo pretty with the yellows too! ❤
Thanks so much - blue and yellow does seem so fresh, doesn't it?
Good afternoon. Thanks for sharing your washi using idea. Love it and I am inspired to use mine. Happy creating.
So glad your washi will get some good use, Judith! Thanks for watching!
Thank you for such a nice idea for using Washi tape! Have a Happy New Year!
You're very welcome, happy New Year to you too!

Washi's like the old friend we don't see very often but whenever we do, it's great fun, right? Sending love from rainy Portland to you, my friend!
Great idea ❤❤❤
Thanks, Selina! I’m so happy you are having fun here! ❤️
Another very neat idea! Thanks for the inspiration!
Thank you, Heather! Hope you have fun doing yours!
Love these tags. Thanks for many ideas you have given me.
Jane, you're so thoughtful to say this - thank you so much. I really appreciate your watching! Happy New Year to you!
I'm a new subscriber. I can't wait to watch this vlog! Saving it to view this evening! Fun!

Hi, Debra! I do have a color wheel. Great idea on washi rooftops! Thanks for watching!
Love this idea! I was so surprised your washi tape was so plain. I really thought u were going to bring out wild & crazy designs. lol

Thanks, Susan! Have fun getting our your washi and adding your creative touch!
I've got so many supplies from a local thrift store that supports a local charity. Win win.
Absolutely! I love that about thrift stores, too!

Does the store you’re talking about do on line sales too? I’d be interested in seeing their supplies

Have you tried an alcohol wipe on the stain ?
I have! To no avail! Was bound to happen sooner or later!
Have you been to cobblestone creek studio in Damascus OR? Its a wonderful paper store.
I haven't Melissa, but Damascus isn't terribly far from us - maybe Dan and I will take a little road trip soon! Thanks for the tip!
@@annekenlonlet Leslie (the owner) know where you heard about her store. Some good food in the food carts across the way
Sometimes you forget you got stuff put away, then you find it again. So why not put your found treasure to work
