I love these little birds. I have finished my Christmas cards, but will be starting Valentines cards soon. I can see these little birds all over the Valentines that will be going to a personal care home to cheer up the residents. I sent over 50 Thanksgiving and Christmas cards, and will be making that many Valentines. These little happy birds will cause lots of smiles I am sure. Thanks for sharing.
Oh, Sybil, what a lovely idea! The little bird could be perching on top of a cut-out heart with ribbon around it - yes, what smiles that will bring to those dear faces! Thank you so much for doing such a lovely project, I'm really honored that you'd consider this as part of your plan. Thank you!
@@annekenlon I make 20 cards each month for the children with SHOC in Eastern TN where I move here from. The little "chirpy-birds" are going to be my winter January cards for the kiddos, ages 2-13. I think they will ❤ them 😄
So so fun. I love the twine in the beak so cute. Would make great package tags with to and from on the back and then they can use as an ornament and will always remember who made it for them and when. Thanks for the inspiration as usual anne. Joyous holidays to you and yours anne😊❤❤❤❤❤hugs friend. Oh yeah we wore snow suits with hoods

Love those whimsical ideas and these birds especially. What a great idea of winter or Christmas hats on them. Oh my gosh those ear muffs, but never left home with our them in up state NY winters for sure. Thank you I really enjoyed this series. I completed and handed out my gift card mittens and Christmas stockings already and all loved them. Blessings for a joyous Christmas and healthy, happy New Year. 🤗☃️
Hi Anne your wintertime little birds are so cute !! thank you for sharing !! I realized some with your previous video about them, and I love them have a nice christmas time french hughs
I really wish I hadn't watched this just now....I'll never get my housework done now!!! So adorable, I can't wait to play. As far as winter dress in the 60's, I remember ski pants under my dresses (because "nice girls don't wear jeans") and a big fuzzy fur hat that tied under the chin and had big pompoms...I loved that hat! Thanks for the memories...Merry Christmas! ❤❤❤❤
I'm happy to be a bad influence on your housework routine, Joanne! Seriously, thank you so much for watching. And yes, those dangly pompoms on the tie strings - they generally came loose around New Year's and mom would have to sew them back on again! Merry Christmas to you, too!
The mailing envelope is such a good color for beaks. I need to remember that. I love these birds and hope to make some very soon for my current junk journal.
tooooo cute. we wore snow pants - I remember getting all tangled in the straps in the bathroom in Kindergarten. my teacher had to help me. it's all about layers and cotton long johns are under my pants as I type this. tfs
Just subscribed ! Fully enjoy your lessons and cheerful encouragement for newbies. I too can relate to all of your memories of 60s in winter... ever heard of plastic bags from loaves of bread in your boots to ensure dry feet... the ultimate embarrassment should any other 4th grader see...😂 lol worth everything though to play in snow to and from school.
Oh, my, yes, Renee - definitely did the bread bag thing when the boots were leaky. And the boots then were always the thick rubbery plastic kind with the elastic-loop-button thing on the side that cinched in a pleat to keep them on. Every girl in our school had EXACTLY the same kind of boot - our poor teachers, trying to sort them out if our mothers had forgotten to mark our names inside! Fun memories. And than you so much for joining me here, I really appreciate it - hope you have fun!
LOVE these adorable birds, Anne! I remember wearing wool scarves that tied under my chin. Later on I had earmuffs that were so warm. Still have some earmuffs for cold winter days. Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones!
Love your birds! I remember that original one. I've been in love with it ever since! I grew up in Connecticut, & we wore uniforms in parochial school ... & in high school dresses & skirts .... none of us ever thought of wearing corduroy pants under the skirts! As for hats, we wore beanies in parochial school ... ugh! Merry Christmas & hugs from Ireland.
So many hugs to you, Pamela, and thank you for watching! What fun (or at least memorable!) fashion talk we've been having! Merry Christmas to you and yours as well!
