    Thats so meticulously done. I remb during first lockdown i saw your video and there u put a small pit upside down on a succulent and filled up the too dressing to keep it from being wonky. 😁. I have learnt so much from you. Thank you liz. Baby P was not entertaining paparazzi today!!

    So beautiful. As always I enjoyed your video. I use toothpicks as well. Found some decomposed garner, but I got the wrong size, it's like sand. Scared to use it, don't want to smother my plants.

    • @GrowingSucculentswithLizK
      @GrowingSucculentswithLizK  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are decomposed granite and there's crushed granite. The decomposed granite is like good soil to the succulents but the crushed granite is like clay. Try and find a bigger piece of granite chunks and pull it apart with you fingers, if it stays intact...then its crushed granite which needs to be washed first before using.

    They are very cute! OMG! What do you think about plant them in Akadama soil only?

    • @GrowingSucculentswithLizK
      @GrowingSucculentswithLizK  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Considering the price of Akadama, that would be a very expensive exercise. I mainly grow them to grow fast and propagate fast so I can plant them in my garden. So far, so good. Thanks for watching.

    Can you explain the differences between soil wetter types? There's seaweed in my soil mix.. so do I choose a Yucca or Kelp or Seaweed based soil wetter (to revive, or even amend the soil)? Trial and error have been a good way to learn but trying to find the right liquid has been daunting.

    • @GrowingSucculentswithLizK
      @GrowingSucculentswithLizK  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Soil wetter comes in different forms. Granular, liquid and powder. Some are chemical base and some are more organic like seaweed and compost. It increases the wettability of hard to wet soils, allowing better absorption and deeper penetration of water into the root zone and can remain active for many months.
      I'm not familiar with Yucca base. Here in Australia, we have many forms and brands. I prefer using the seaweed base. In this video, I did not use soil wetter but instead, seaweed conditioner. Thanks for watching.

    what kitty litter do you use for dressing

    • @GrowingSucculentswithLizK
      @GrowingSucculentswithLizK  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't use kitty litter as a top dressing. I prefer decomposed granite or maifan stone.

    I use fly screen it seems to work 👍Liz I have some cuttings with No stem at all what can I do ?

    • @GrowingSucculentswithLizK
      @GrowingSucculentswithLizK  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If they've been cut for a couple of days...I would plant them in "moist soil" and put them away in a bright no indirect sunlight and check in 2 weeks time if the soil is light...then water.

    hi liz.. are agavoidez dont like too hot and humid temperature? i am so afraid to expose my agavoides and its starts lifting itself from soil.

    • @GrowingSucculentswithLizK
      @GrowingSucculentswithLizK  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They love heat and don't mind humid but prefers for the soil to be dry. Some agavoides only colors up in summer. So I don't usually water my agavoides during summer but when it rains....then they should be covered to not get wet.
