TIP: If you're like me, the shoes kept shifting out of place while trying to reattach the springs, so I held them in place by using a screwdriver to stuff a clean rag snuggly between the shoes and along the inner rim. It worked great.
You don’t need to buy it’s easier and it’s not hard to take them off, it’s always worth the extra time to not have to argue with what you’re working on.
I'm sorry I don't remember. If you don't have appropriate botl - you may have to back off on the adjustment of the brake shoes then pull of the drum. Make sure you don't have your parking brakes on.

Is it necessary to disassembly the shoes completely or just praying the shoe both sides is enough to remove and replace the cylinder?
I think it's better to remove shoes, it's not that difficult

Remove the springs before you remove the retaining spring screws. This way the shoes dont shift when prying off the springs
