To be honest, I prefer the Harkonnen faction as they were in the previous movies and video games. Also consider the fact that if they won the war, billions of lives would have been saved, so they weren't necessarily evil, just cruel and greedy like all the other factions. Note: What I love about Frank Herbert is that he makes the audience cheer for the true villain in the story. Absolute genius!!!
I was very impressed with the depiction of Gheidi Prime and Harkonnen technology. It's very easy to depict as harshly industrial and utilitarian but by making everything curved and flow together under a blasting white sky it emphasized how it is all by strict design, making it intimidating instead revolting.

You went from this to Chani pouting on a sand dune (again) Stilgar blissed out on Lisan Al Gaib (again) and Paul making a tiktok rant in front of the tribes. I don't think this movie intended for us to suddenly find the Harkonnen's more bad ass than the Fremen, but that's what happened.

Reminds me of imhotep from the mummy 2
If we bring back gladiator pits (and we should) i need this and the sardaukar chant to be played every halftime
Ok nerd
"Ektes gloun Geidi Si, Hakeen dru axida exte draustilac
T'lae Baun Vladeem Hakween!
Domm siku heku dou kun do-mana, hegunde handri-de hown-down estelak na-Baun Feyd-Rautha Hakween!"
the whole movie was beautiful, not a minute or single shot was wasted. It is a masterclass in cinematography.
Thanks... chant is really intense 😊
They designed them like absolute brutal animal version of normal humans.
And the fact that scenes took in infrared is absolutely increasing the alien like atmosphere.
It reminds me of Lord of the Rings movies.
Each house is a reflection of human potential
It's the 'koom koom skaaa koom' that does it
The harkonnen are basically the orcs from lord of the rings.
This generation's Poggle the Lesser arena speech...
The time of the orc, has come
theyre so not human for creating the most notorious themes
GOROSH!!! GOROSH!!!
First 30 seconds is pure hype, written in testosterone and blood
Ash nazg durbatulûk, ash nazg gimbatul, ash nazg thrakatulûk, agh burzum-ishi krimpatul
harkonnen>sardukars ... i am sorry but when I saw this scene in the Cinema with my ex we were both fraked out lmao, we had to go the next day again and re-watch it just for that arena scene alone, Jesus H. Christ.
Really??? Me too
You guys were so freaked out that you broke up?
@@centrial6909 Yes
😂 You did not have to include your ex in there
Dude...did you saw the Sardaukar fighting style in the first part, right?
Sure this isn't a Rammstein album?
Сцена боя на арене сделал почти весь фильм.
Также как сцена с наймом сардаукаров сделала первую часть затмив положительных героев своей харизматичной брутальностью.
President Putin frowns upon you for watching american movies!
@@viz12345😂😂😂😂нет конечно.
The harkonnens probably descend from your people and not only because of their names
@@viz12345а это американский фильм? Оооо, поздравляю, вы наконец-то сняли хорошее кино! 😊

Still the best chant of villain army
You went from this to Chani pouting on a sand dune (again) Stilgar blissed out on Lisan Al Gaib (again) and Paul making a tiktok rant in front of the tribes. I don't think this movie intended for us to suddenly find the Harkonnen's more bad ass than the Fremen, but that's what happened.
0:42 The sound my harkonnen dog makes if I try to remove the toy in his mouth.
The language sounds like it's derived from finnish, which would make sense.
Everyone looks the same and is therefore disposable.
Straight out of the Harkonnen bible
Best Family, industrialists and technocrats
Ummm Uruk Hai maybe sounds like Isengard to me☝️🧐😅
I love the look of the big ships. Kinda look like faces but it's impossible to really place the mouths and eyes.
What I don't get is why the Emperor wouldn’t want these people dead.
because they do things for the emperor other houses would not
The emperor wanted the Atredies gone because they were getting too popular. Their “voice was rising” as the Baron said in the first movie. I doubt the Harkonnen were very popular considering their brutality.
@@crezd5028 Harkonnens were hated and vilified by everyone, emperor included. They were a disgraced house that rose again thanks to trade and shady financial shenanigans.
1hour version please xD
I thought the literal black star was a bit goofy but it definitely fits with the over-the-top brutality of these guys
Their sun is infrared. That’s why their planet is grayscale
I thought they had a white dwarf as a star which I think is pretty cool
the black sun is not so subtile nazi esoteric symbol reference
@@golagiswatchingyou2966 It feels more like a H.R. Giger thing than anything, a world-building choice that seems to explain aspects of their culture somewhat. It's possible a literal black sun could be commentary on far-right authoritarianism or etc, but it seems a bit of a stretch; especially when compared to the very unsubtle Nuremberg rally/North Korea-esque march at the very end of Geidi prime scenes.

Thank you
Amazing 👏
"THEY'RE BROOOOOTUUULLLL

Oh to be a Harkonnen civilian chanting at a rigged gladiatorial death match for the honor of the na-baron
im adding this to my sister's yoga playlist
