@@epaper_eink Ah, yes I read about it. The thing is that I live in Europe and the 50 series will be released in the US only, if I'm not mistaken. Anyway, thanks for the info! :D
Thank you for the review. I have sensitive eyes as well, and that part on how bright it was even after it was lowered all the way is a dealbreaker for me. Eink definitely feels so much better.
Yes but that's only at night. And after I installed the Lower Brightness app, I was able to lower it to a satisfactory level and now everything is fine. I talk about it in the video
I have it. It's great for the eyes. I use the nxtpaper muted color format. I think it's even better for eye strain and found the color although less vivid to be more "paper realistic".
I thought the author had an ideal pronunciation and wanted to prize that in a comment. LOL! Anyway, the English is transparent, and the review is clear. The only thing that is not covered is the presence or absence of PWM.
Thank you for review and advises. Wish you healthy eyes!
Welcome.
I just wanted to point out there is an extra dim setting in the accessibility options that can also be toggled with a gesture.
thank you. I'll check it out. I think this is the darker environment mode? that lets you go lower?
@@epaper_eink I'm not sure. It's under settings > accessibility > extra dim. It just makes the screen darker than minimum brightness.
This has been a game changer btw. Thank u so much
Why do some people say that this phone and the 5G model have PWM? Is it true?
Yes it does have pwm. But from my experience it helps a lot with eye strain. It's pleasant to use
Thanks for the review! I am concerned about the eye strain and your review helped a lot 😄
You're welcome. You should know TCL 50 is releasing soon in 3rd quarter of this year

But yes for eyes eink is better. It's only when u need media like videos or using camera that TCL is better
@@epaper_eink haha yes I did notice that. I tried using the app on my current phone and it does help a lot.

Awesome. I've recently started using the paper mode too but only at night. During daytime I use normal mode. I should update my review haha
How is the black and white mode in outdoor use? How does that compare to rlcd?
It's not good. Rlcd and eink is better. I have to crank the brightness all the way to see stuff
@@epaper_eink good to know, thank you. wish this was mentioned more clearly in reviews of nxtpaper
@@TarasGlek_net black and white and the color mode is same in terms of clarity
Can you please tell me if this is the 4g or 5g?
Thanks.
4g

Sorry man, have to use that for now. My (speaking) english is not good. And my voice sounds childlike lol
