That's a fantastic idea! Most bicycle kickstands come with plastic feet. We actually have some delrin round bars lying around here as well. Unfortunately, during our attempt to bend the kickstand to improve tire clearance in the up position, it ended up breaking. However, we're planning on making a second version soon, and we'll definitely use delrin for it this time around.
On your kickstand you can make a plastic (delrin) part. Same OD to plug into tube. Total length about 2".
