TH-cam has been around for 15 years and if you are like most people, you've probably subscribed to WAY MORE CHANNELS than you realize! To find the total number of channels you are currently subscribed to just go to TH-cam.com from a desktop browser. Then, look under "subscriptions" and while you will see several of your top watched channels, the real number will be at the bottom of the list (i.e. 350 more subscriptions).

TH-cam is very annoying but damn smart. The reason why you don’t see the manage button is because they don’t want you to unsubscribe to that channel. Because when you do it’s less money for them. That’s why it’s so easy to subscribe but a pain to unsubscribe. They do this so you get frustrated and will give up at the thought of unsubscribing.

Great videos, now can you do one for a super simpleton (me) on how to do this on a pc? Do all the probably thousands of notifications I have take up computer space or are they just a nuisance? When I delete the subscription will it automatically remove all the notifications?

Great video. I have my TH-cam open on both, my laptop and my smart phone. followed your instructions, but smartphone does not show "manage' at the top...or anywhere for that matter. Help!

Thank you for the tutorial. I keep accidentally subscribing whilst scrolling video pages. Having never subscribed to any channel, I was surprised to see around 7 subscriptions on my account. I didn't know about the left swipe to unsubscribe. Now, thanks to your guidance, they have all been removed.

There is NO MANAGE listed.
There was no "manage" listed, but had the option to unsbuscribe to all individually, as opposed to grouping them. Hope this is helpful.
@@rmcclure5646 Thank you! Yes, I knew that but it isn't quickly done. When subscribing to a 100 or so channels, removing 30 or so is very time consuming. But that's okay, I can do it but was hoping someone knew of a quicker way.
You have to click on the little bell to the side of the channel then click unsubscribe
I have way over a thousand subscpttions. I will check when I get to my desktop. I have a couple of hundred play lists too. I want to delete all my subscriptions and play lists land start again. How many hours will that take me doing it your way. Is their no blanket way to do it.

I'm subscribed in literally 5000 channels, 90% of them i watched when i was a kid, now i dont like their type of content anymore, and i can't turn on notifications for the channels i actually follow cuz i will receive content i don't want. Seriously why can't TH-cam make a button "unsubscribe all"?
I cleared off all channels including the ones I really like for you tube has gotten so toxic with these internet pan handlers. I'm going to start over and this will be the first channel I subscribe to. Thanks bro!

Dave, thanks for the video and tips...appreciate your very well made videos...I subscribe to a lot...what's disappointed is most ask for a thumbs up and subscribe, etc. If the content was good, you'll get a subscription, however, a lot of our viewers are unaware of how a subscription or thumbs up or a dingie bell helps you the maker. Getting the same message on every video is annoying. Just my $0.02 for the day....enjoy your new home.

I'm nonplussed by some channels. I honestly don't know how they managed to get thousands of subscribers, let alone maintain them for very long. Many TH-camr seem to dare you (me) to unsubscribe them. I see some channels with decent content and few subscribers, while others with ridiculous content and tons of subscribers. Go figure. I completely dropped out of Facebook in 2018 and after being a member for more than a decade. I got tired of, completely abandoned it without actually deleting anything. It was probably foolish but I don't care at this point. Tonight I simply unsubscribed the most annoying TH-camrs in my list and perhaps will drop out altogether soon. I've seen most of what I want to see already. TH-cam has been the hold-out, my last remaining social media account. I don't miss any of it! Unsubscribed a few dozen, always feels better when I clean house, too bad their channels will still show up on my algorithm for awhile.
TH-cam SUCKS for making it SO DAMN DIFFICULT to do this.

177 according to my ipad app. Then again, I manually delete channels fairly often as I scroll through and notice I haven’t viewed a channel in a while. And this is how I have always deleted channel subscriptions on my ipad. Nothing new here.

you should check out the updated version (that youtube seems to be burying in the search results). If you have an insane number of subscriptions, there is a way to clean out everything all at once (without deleting your account).

For me, it's so typical. I follow instructions so easily then get to one direction where I lose it. In this case I got all the way to where it shows MANAGE at the top right and there is no such word as MANAGE on that page. I go to the bottom of the page and swipe left. Nothing happens. I have two iPhones and neither have MANAGE on the top of the page you mention. It seems I missed a spot somewhere. Any other way I can delete the Subscriptions?
