    Great and educational videos, that rifle sounds very powerful, unfortunately over here in England we are stuck with the sub 12ftlb.

    • @razor1962
      @razor1962  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Ian. It is a powerful rifle. If nothing else, your 12 ft/lb limit forces the shooter to become proficient. When it comes to small game, accuracy trumps power, and you guys display some amazing skill with your guns.

      Polishing de buring etc. Decent guides and good lube.
      good to see you didn't polish the chamber! With a synthetic seal it just causes dieseling IMHO. You don't polish cylinder walls when fitting new piston rings in an engine for example.
      I've found leather seals like a shiny bore though.
      Keep up the good work sir.

    The crosshatching with the 3M pad, is this something you do with all of your air rifles and is this what Jim Maccari recommends? I ask because I'm waiting for some piston seals for my Hatsan 125. Ps, before, the only thing I did was clean out the old lube and put new molly on the piston and piston seal.

    • @razor1962
      @razor1962  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I'm not sure what Mr Macarri recommends, but Marc, who comments here often, taught me to use a very fine grade of emery paper. It was my idea to use the scratch pad. I used to molly the seal and piston like you. That works, too. The idea of scratching the cylinder walls is that it provides a place for the molly to cling, creating a film which won't get wiped away.
