All the time I spent on it landed me a job in an engine department for a Japanese company so while the car was really a piece of shit now I think about it, it was still cool and taught me a lot, and really, it was a cool first car :). I miss it very much and often think about getting another one but these days I ride motorbikes and prefer financial solvency lol.
The owner has clearly put some work into the car good on him! Watching you get in and out of that Fiesta was like watching the Hindenburg go down CLASSIC MUSTARD! Although i appreciate you wore the right trainers for the job the Reeboks are very period haha. Great video looks like you had alot of fun :)

1. No, this model was not available in the USA. Only the mk1 Fiesta and the mk6 Fiesta. All Fiesta's were produced in the UK /Europe. 2. Ford UK (which later became part of Ford Europe under a merger) and Ford USA are basically seperate companies under the same ownership. Even more so in years gone by (recently they consolidated the design a bit more. The ford mondeo was the first that was created by both ford usa and ford uk asa collaboration) The Fiesta, The Escort etc were all developed in the UK by Ford UK, which was all British from the start. The Mk1 fiesta was designed by Trevor Erskine of Northern Ireland, UK. They were all produced in uk/Europe. Ford UK designed and produced cars are: -Ford Escort -Ford Fiesta -Ford KA. -Ford Capri -Ford Puma -Ford Focus -Ford Transit Van .....etc (theres some im forgetting). For all intents and purposes, they are 100% British Cars. The only American things about them are the parent company. Ford Australia was much more closely linked with Ford USA and wasnt at all the same type of seperate company, they would take fully American designed models and put them on sale in Australia with practically no changes, so that makes a lot of Americans think that Ford UK/Europe was the same way, when it was the opposite. Since like the 1940s the only ''American designed'' car that Ford UK sold in the UK, was the Ford Probe mk2, but that was really a mazda underneath anyway. Ford UK/europe has never sold a muscle car.

Awesome video! As a Ford owner I'm a bit biased but I like it. The owner has done a great job with the mods, really impressive stuff.
