I’ve been playing this game for 10 years. I watch Sims content daily. I’m actually impressed because you made a video on some thing I actually did not know
OMG thank you! I've been wanting to do a challenge I created that included painting portraits of every household member, and this is gonna be a HUGE help!
@@cookliet8444 maybe you could try hooking up your pc to a tv with the hdmi cord so you can still play your games. I had to do that a couple times lol and it’s honestly pretty nice, because the screen is so much bigger and you can play from your bed if you have a tv in your room
@Simsdeelicious it's a mod, but I'm pretty sure it stays clear after using it because the grainyness from paintings is essentially just a filter, so the mod turning that filter off doesn't alter the game files. Only thing is you'd probably need to remove the mod before uploading or else it would be stuck with the custom content label
thats a great little hack ^^ I always have the easle a little bit turned to the left, at an angle to the reference piece, that works too, you just have to find the right angle once ^^
Or place everything behind the canvas and work that way. Its a bit tricky, but it is possible. More so tip for console players since there isn't much cheats for console.
Unfortunately you can’t, unless you hook up a keyboard. That’s the only way to make it easier. But you can always put the reference behind where your sim stands, so they can just turn right around and take it. 😔
No, you would need a keyboard and mouse for it to work. As some are mentioning, you can do it the old way, by just having the reference behind you and turning the camera around.
@@ARMYforLife realistically the reference wouldn’t be right beside them or behind them. I think this is better than trying over and over to move your easel to the best angle 📐 You’re not stupid. This is just for people who would prefer it this way, so they don’t have to move their easel and for it to be more realistic.
I kinda get it… but It doesn’t click with me, why/ how it’s hard to find the angle… because you can turn the camera… like… you could put the object behind you. But at this point I‘m sure that I just forgot something about the possible movement of the camera or something like that… sadly I don’t have my pc close to my so I could test it… or where I forgot something - I rarely paint like that xD
You can’t do it on console. You would need to hook up a keyboard. I think you can use the digital sketchpad to do a reference and that may be easier since there’s no object in your way.
@Simsdeelicious thanks for telling me that, on the plus side, I found out how to move objects up, down and how to make them bigger or smaller, it's triggers with the D-Pad to make objects do those things
@@christinawolfe3604 yes, but I think this is easier and better. Especially for the looks of an art room so, you can actually have your reference in front of the easel. Instead of behind

My question is the magic of some painting on the gallery looking so clear and not graining
@@touyatakami3374 I honestly don’t know. I know there’s a mod to stop that, but I would assume it would just revert back to the grainy version.

Wow, never knew that. Thank you
Or just turn the easel so it's facing away from the object and then click "Paint From Reference" and turn around and capture the image from there
I know. That’s how a lot of people been doing it, but I like this way better because it’s realistic and looks right.
Genius
Where has this information been my whole life?

how in the world did you find this out! 🔥
Queston does this also work with the camera?

I thought that easel was a guillotine at first 💀

That statue has like 10 abs lmfao

Me too
Tab
Controle 5
Get your sim to paint from reference
Press 5
And now you have the image you want to paint.

You can’t unless you can get a keyboard and mouse.
The only way would be to have the reference behind you.
