When we were growing up in a logging camp on Vancouver Island (access by water, only) - and my grandparents had the only radio (short-wave) in the camp - we'd listen to the Grand Ol' Opry on Saturday nights. This was 1949 to 1955 - when a road was built into the camp, and we finally moved to town when I started school. My dad was the leader of The Campbell River Ramblers - and they'd rehearse at our house. I remember singing 'Columbus Stockade Blues' on-stage at one of the local seasonal "things" when I was about 5 yrs old - accompanying myself on mandolin, while my Dad played a National dobro and my mother played mouth harp. Every time I hear this song - I am instantly transported back to that time and place. So wonderful to hear these guys do it . . ..
That’s one of the best versions of that song !!! & I know that’s a mouthful from everyone that’s done it Doc Watson to Leon Russell & everywhere in between but that was good!!!

Tim and Darrell are magic together!
Darrell Scott is a treasure subtly weaving himself into the landscape of MY life much like the heroes he honors. ❣️
These guys are so good together!
O’Brien and Scott make a powerful duo. Their acoustic sets are amazing. Synergism.
The best rendition of this song I have ever heard!
I love this song.

What a great rendition of this grand old number. Bravo, boys!
Musical brilliance!!
Awesome version of a classic. Never heard it with the Texas Swing style.
Nice spot -- they are pretty much picking on Willie Nelson's version. Very well, too.
Darrell’s voice is just too good
of course that's red knuckles on mandolin
More like a be-whiskered Tim O'Brien (also of Hot Rize fame)
wendel mercantile on bass I do believe
Nope, it's Nick Forster (also of Hot Rize fame)
Red Knuckles and the Trailblazers were awesome! So Thankful Tim let them ride the back of the bus......😂
What is Darrell playing?
Looks like some kind of Danelectro.
Strange but rather pleasant interpretation. (Do the acoustic Blue Grass folks cringe when they hear this?) JUST KIDDING
Actually, it sounds a lot like Willie Nelson's version, which he recorded many moons ago.
What’s not to like about this, I really feel sorry for those muppets that don’t get it.
