This woman Teena Marie will never ever forgotten , cant be duplicated at all, shes 1 of a kind, dynamite full of soul, anything she put her voice too she turned it into diamonds, what a great peformer, shes truly missed , but her music will live on
I grew up listening to a lot of days grace singers Rick James Tina Marie Luther Vandross it goes on and on and on Verdine White Michael Jackson we have lost one of my biggest icons the queen of soul Aretha Franklin it hurts
The best! There will never be another Lady T and there shouldn't, because Teena Marie was a one-of-a-kind phenomenal singer, never a carbon copy of any other.
Awwwwww RIP Ms. Marie.. Teena made some jams in my day. Christina Aguilera had nothing on Teena. Teena was a white woman who I could honestly say: Had soul!!!!!!!!
this lady right here!!! tears tears and more tears!! I love the fact that we cant hear the music accompaniment. all we can focus on the singer's voice, intonation, the many high notes and how effortlessly she fluidly moves from octave to octave!!!
Simply beautiful and raw. No auto-tune...no gimmicks. So many of today's "love songs" are lacking..and are certainly not TIMELESS such as the songs of yesterday TEENA MARIE, RICK JAMES, COMMODORES, ANITA BAKER, JEFFREY OSBOURNE to name a few...RIP.
When Teena first came out it was without a pic on he album....everyone thought she was Black...including me. Then the truth appeared and we embraced her even more. This woman can "SANG". She is definitely in the catergory with Arethra, Stephanie Mills, Patti LaBelle Gladys Knight and the likes. Lady T...Vanilla Child you were one of the best ma.
Nice..Nice, you can tell her musical inspiration was inspired by Black American culture; Black American ppl cultural style of music.👌 A Black Woman lived down in Teena Marie's soul; yeah!😃
With out a shadow of doubt. I've been listening to her for over 36yrs and it still affects me the same as back then and now. Remarkable Lady. R.I.Paradise Lady T. See you when I get there.
if the music was there will be no 14 thumbs down. I heard her heard live in the Red Velvet Cake Studio back in the 2001 or 2002 and I thought that Tom was playing all of her hits but it was live. This is something that should be played again on the radio!
you know this woman is bad!!!!!! The pure Soul in her voice, she was not only a trailblazer, she was pure and her voice was a gift to all of us from GOD!!!!!!!! R.I.P. Lady Tee, you will live on in your music and in the voice of your daughter Alia.
Man I miss Teena Marie, she was such an Icon. I grew up on her music and this performance speaks for itself as to why she will never be forgotten. in the R&B world of music.
OMG. SHE IS AMAZING, I STILL GET CHILLS WHEN SHE SINGS. SHE WAS A COMPOSER; WRITER, SINGER, PLAYED THE PIANO, BONGOS, DRUMS. "LOVERGIRL" SOME PEOPLE ARE NOT EVEN AWARE OF HER TALENT. WHY is it that great - no, phenomenal - artists like Teena Marie have to pass away before receiving any real appreciation? This breaks my heart! She really needed our support, over the years, while she was living ... did not receive it. Why?
