one thing I've notice with some NBA players sons like Kiyan, Alijah Arenas and even Tahj Ariza is that there not the most psychically dominant players yet their way more skillful then other players. That's real interesting to me I'm guessing their dads are teaching them how to be good without hiding behind height or weight and strength until they bulk up in college or the leauge.
Well they only one who ever used their weight anyways was Melo and ariza got more muscular in the nba. So it's not really surprising their kids look really lean.
I think its because they grew up rich and wealthy. They play like rich white boys. I think this is one reason the league is softer now, it used to be a lot of inner city kids or poor kids from Alabama who were struggling and had to make it to support their family and friends. They were tough, and fight in them. These guys from the past made the NBA, and made a fortune. Because of the immense wealth they made their kids grew up like royalty. This was not as true for prior generations of NBA players (though it was a little, but not nearly to the degree it is now). Today's NBA is now more akin to lords and monarchs who's kids just assume and expect to be in the NBA, and who's fathers can afford to pay nearly unlimited money and time to make it happen. Combine the near unlimited wealth and focused training with the DNA advantage of having an NBA father, and it is creating a new type of NBA that is honestly not as fun to root for. The Royals in this new NBA don't have very much to gain, they are already incredibly wealthy. They don't mind if they sit out games for 'load management'. They will justify it by saying its for the betterment of the team in the long run, but it belies a less competitive spirit as well as betraying a more lackadaisical attitude around simply wanting to play basketball competitively. Kobe and Jordan might often feel slight injuries or whatever, but they desired and even needed to play basketball. They were going to feel worse sitting out, than playing with an injury. Sitting out a game was not something they would willingly do unless they absolutely could not play. Many of today's players seem like they are just as happy not playing for the most part. They come off as aloof and distant and mostly fairly unlikable. It feels like they simply presume and expect their position in life; that they are not grateful for where they are or how they ended up winning the lottery that is their life. They are not poor kids coming up from a hopeless background, fighting against all odds to make it to the NBA so that they can allow their mother and Grandmother to retire after a lifetime of blue collar work and toil. These kids already had it made before they even picked up a basketball. There is no tension, they don't care if they miss games, or get bounced from the playoffs. They have bizarre and ill informed opinions about prior NBA players. Why would people want to root for them like they rooted for players in the past? Their stories are not sympathetic or heroic. Basketball is fun to watch still, but its not nearly as enjoyable to root for most of the players like it used to be.
Great Video Casey, I'm glad you did this video about all these great young ballers coming into the league that their dad played in the League as well. Boozer, Anthony, Ariza, Harper, Arenas, Stojakovic, ECT.
Gilbert arenas was a monster that averaged 29ppg at one point idk about his son dominating him Gilbert was well on his way to the hall of fame before off court issues and injuries
Met Ron Harper n gave his flowers, dude was a hopper frfr. I swear outside of his knee issues his game like MJ. So if his son is focused there’s no limit to how good he can be.
Ron Harper, before his injury, was great 2way player. He was solid defender: 2 steals and 1 block per game as a guard. He was all star caliber player but injury changed that. You should know better..
Was just thinking the same thing, and what would've been if it had been Harper guarding MJ instead of Ehlo when Michael killed them with his double pump game series game winner.
It’s like the role players from the past have superstar talent sons while it’s in reverse when the dad is a superstar 😂. It’s almost like if your dad was a role-player the son is almost guaranteed to be better than the dad. The only person I can see breaking this is possibly Gilbert Arena’s kid or or even Carmelo’s kid
In most dad/son careers; the son can't hold the dad's Jock strap. Kobe & Steph are among the few. And not just in Hoops. Example: Waltons-Dad (Bill > Luke), Barrys (Rick>John,Brent,Scooter), Griffey, Hull, Guerraro, to name a few.
2:53 Apparently: It already started when late career Kobe couldn't match Wizards Jordan in terms of mid range accuracy, but has Jordan beat on 3 point accuracy and volume. Kobe also had more major injuries than Jordan, so Kobe couldn't drive or use change-of-speed to get past defenders as easily as Jordan did.
I'm glad he talked about how the Boozer family had deisgner babies. No hate here. I just wanted to say it wasn't prayer but money and science that saved his sons life.
the NBA could someday become really, really hard for people who are average financially because we are seeing more people whose parents have influence and money and it doesn't help that Aau teams and other basketball resources are becoming really expensive
Melo was my favorite player during his Denver days, his style was amazing. Would spin off defenders and then have a smooth touch in the paint. He also would bang bodies against other bigs, and had surprising ups like that poster on millsap, that was huge. His triple threat game is bar none, he would slay defenders off the pivot, dribble or jab. I miss that melo but his attitude ruined a lot of his rise that and a trevor ariza steal in 2009s wcf. Kiyan has his shot but not really any of that gritty physicality that made melo unique imo.
Weirdly with all the father son pairings in the NBA, there's still never been a father son combo where they both were all stars. Granted if Arvydas Sabonis was allowed to play in the NBA in his prime, there's no doubt he would have been a multi time all star. Also Jalen Rose probably should have been an all star at some point during his prime. My money is on Carlos/Cam Boozer being the first.

Before his knee injury Ron Harper used to give Michael Jordan work when he played in Cleveland. Not only could he shoot, he was super athletic.
Kiyan is going to be a special player he has lots of potential
Hes gonna punch Bogdan in the face lol
He’s going number one for sure 🔥
Great Video Casey, I'm glad you did this video about all these great young ballers coming into the league that their dad played in the League as well. Boozer, Anthony, Ariza, Harper, Arenas, Stojakovic, ECT.
P.M. hoops stays consistent
Ron was a beast when he played with Cleveland. He only became a role player after his injuries but he was competing with Jordan during his prime.
To see igodala kid is wild
Scotty pippen jr has actually improved a lot. He’s fs an nba level player
Exactly we should sign him to be my backup
yea he avg 10ppg
carlos boozers kids story is crazy as hell !!!
bless their family
Who agrees that am hoop videos are the best!!
fr fr
me, me, me, me, me, me, me
No.
Great video man
Solid content, keep it coming.
What if MJs kid with Pippens ex wife have a super baby lmao
Well Pippen's ex wife doesn't have those basketball genes so unless their is some of his dna still inside her (🤢) that ain't gonna happen.
nah i got something even better, just scotty himself😭
She to busy drinking them to incubate em
They won't because they ain't together anymore
🫣
Thank you for this vid. Learned a lot from it
I love these types of videos. New information for me about the sons of these players
Gilbert arenas was a monster that averaged 29ppg at one point idk about his son dominating him Gilbert was well on his way to the hall of fame before off court issues and injuries

Jokic is so dominant that by the end of the decade both of his grandchildren will have been drafted, absolutely wild.
Loved this Video ❤
Most of these kids really need to bulk up, how are some of these cats 180 at 6’4-6’8
I randomly met Kiyan Anthony out in Westchester County, NY.
He is a very nice, respectful kid.
Loved this video
With fate of the universe on the line, I WANT IGUODALA II
NBA sons are taking over the league- except for one
Early but thanks for posting daily cuz my favs like cosgrove, heatcheck and jxmyhighroller take weeks to go.
LOVE YOUR VIDS MAN ❤
Alijah Arenas 🔥🔥🔥

U do know Ron harper was an all-star and was known for his locked down defense
Was just thinking the same thing, and what would've been if it had been Harper guarding MJ instead of Ehlo when Michael killed them with his double pump game series game winner.
He wasn't an all star
yes, when he said _"BUT Dilan is also a good defender"_ i was like WHAT?
Best telemarketing channel on yt :-)
I've been following stojakovic's son for a year now, here's me hoping he goes to the spurs next year
Some schools have different scales for the GPA. Australia is out of 7 at some universities
I think Bryce is gonna shock people only because no one expects him to
People keep calling him the next chosen one
He has the potential to be special and tall and bigger than his older brother
I hear he's the best shooter in the family according to LeCaptain
Bryce is literally so bad. If lebron wasnt his dad I genuinely think he wouldnt even play D1
@@dasfx2895 Bron said this when bryce was 11 so this should tell you how serious you can take that
making me feel old watching this video

It’s almost like if your dad was a role-player the son is almost guaranteed to be better than the dad. The only person I can see breaking this is possibly Gilbert Arena’s kid or or even Carmelo’s kid
It's because there are far more role players than stars.
Just imagine, i am still a kid when i am watching Melo, Peja etc, now we are going to witness their sons playing in the NBA...
I thought some of these predictions were off. It is hard to grade these young prospects though, especially the early bloomers/more athletic ballers.
You Should make a video how underrated and under appreciated Scottie Barnes is
Alijah is a beast
Why is his videos always 720p now?

I had no idea about some of these
7:40 you didn't have to man 😂😂😂
2:53 Apparently: It already started when late career Kobe couldn't match Wizards Jordan in terms of mid range accuracy, but has Jordan beat on 3 point accuracy and volume.
Kobe also had more major injuries than Jordan, so Kobe couldn't drive or use change-of-speed to get past defenders as easily as Jordan did.
Man I’m getting that old? Now I see the kids from all nba players I regular see in the past 20 years 😂
Scotie Pippen Jr is actually nice.
99th in 199th class is something funny to hear unwillingly 3:46
W vid bro
4"13 - Bryce James (LeBron's son). "How does he compare to his dad? HE DOESN'T!!!" :-)😆🤣🤣
Kiyan got that heat 🔥🤣
Scottie Pippen Junior is on the grizzlies is he not? I may have missed new news but update me.
Kiyan is going to make Steph feel so old. "wasn't this kid like, 6, a few years ago?" lol
video starts at 2:29
I’m glad we could see Lebron, Steph, and KD ball out. Now I’m excited for the next generation 🎉
What do you mean Jordan's kid didn't make it. Ant and Jimmy Butthurts made it 😂😂
I'm glad he talked about how the Boozer family had deisgner babies. No hate here. I just wanted to say it wasn't prayer but money and science that saved his sons life.
All the latest videos from @AMHoops are only available in 720p. Is it just for me?
7:56 did he just block someone into a wedgie 🤣
W video yesss sir
1:24. Caseys face made my day😂😂
the NBA could someday become really, really hard for people who are average financially because we are seeing more people whose parents have influence and money and it doesn't help that Aau teams and other basketball resources are becoming really expensive
Newsflash, it already is.
Does anyone remember DJ Rodman that played for USC
06:41 *_"BUT_*_ Dilan is also a really good defender...."_
Whay do you mean BUT BUT BUT? Ron was a great defender.
Day 2 asking for grizzlies vid
I always find it funny that you specify UNC is MJ's school. Makes it sound like he is the owner of the school.
Bryce is actually 6”6🤓
7ft with heels
Bryce is now listed at 6'4 bare foot. Bronny listed at 6'3 but is actually 6'1 bare foot.
brycee is 6'6
sheesh them Boozer boys legit made in a lab🤣
Bryce James might wanna start reving up those fryers
If Bryce is 6’6 he’s 4 1/2 inches taller than bronny..
No ad length bar?
68 rating for Bronny is 67 more points than he would have if not for his Dad
Cat said grundle 😭🤣
I love you man
Correction** AM.. Jordans legitimate children didn't make it too the league 😅 we all know hes got at least 2 illegitimate ones in the league
title changed? I remeber not clicking on this one yesterday
Seeing this made me feel old 🤣

This is why my Nets traded with the Rockets to get our draft picks back in 2025 and 2026 I hope we can get Flagg in 2025 and Arenas' son in 2026
This doesn't feel right because I basically remember all the Dads played when I was growing up, except for Ron Harper
I've been watching the nba before their dads even got to the league. 😂 Damn im old.

Son of Tim Duncan and David Robinson is a great shooter
Any word on Jermaine O’Neal, Jr.?
Iggys kid is tuff
Nice.
not the shoe polish reference
ok
i love u am hoops
crazy how somebody like Kiyan is ranked 33rd!
LIKE if you think Bronny is in the league because of his dad and REPLY if you think he earned it
He earned it, he should have been a first round pick!
He would’ve earned it if he didn’t get a heart attack
He isn't really worth a 2nd round pick, but he is marketable. I hope he is a star.
@@Dimezprod 2nd round picks dont even play most of the time.. people are overcaring
He earned it. The 2nd pick had 0 points whereas he consistently scored 13 - 15 points after his slump
NBA is entering it's boruto era
I was born to save my brother’s life is quite the origin story. 😮
I always said that peja is a Klay Thompson with KD height.
Hot Take bronny is an all time great hooper
Disrespecting Ron Harper’s career like that is criminal. He was way more than “won championships with Mike and Kobe”
Taking over??
Who else skips the ads just for fun now and not because your annoyed ?
