I don't think Dana was supposed to be a sympathetic character. She simply acts polite about the tasks she keeps giving our character for her own benefit and is only better in contrast to Mr "get ahead". But I hate to say that John's shift in attitude towards her made me entertain the idea of a ship.. ☺️

I actually really like Dana. She's a good person overall. Was kind to Emma, showed a desire to help her, and her last act was her trying to warn Emma of danger. It's no wonder she's the only one who's tarot motif wasn't upside down.

If I wanted internet I would go to Starbucks or if I needed to do laundry there was a laundry mat close by. Then I started hopping between houses with my relatives. At first my grandparents, then my aunt and uncle, and lastly with some friends. I had bronchitis through it all and that sucked too. It was like that for 3 months.

This is the first puppet combo game that genuinely left me with a disturbing feeling. When I read the note that said razor blades in chocolate eggs made me sick I felt like fainting.

Some times it's not even razor blades, it could be something you don't even see, like cyanide, and you wouldn't know it's cyanide until it started taking effect, I'm not going to pretend that there isn't people that actually sneak these things into food, drinks or candy and give them to unsuspecting victims, because that does happen. I've never consumed cyanide personally but I know that it's a terrible way to go out for anyone, as it prevents the body from absorbing oxygen, so you can't breath, and not being able to breath is actually one of the worst feelings you can have. But we're talking about razor blades aren't we? Okay, say you swallowed one, that's going to shred everything on the way to your stomach isn't it? Last I checked you couldn't stick a plaster on internal bleeding, but if it's not going down the throat then it's just going to shred the back of your throat and you'll choke on the blade and your own blood. Not a nice way to go either
I know puppet combo pride themselves on short experiences. But I'd like to see what they could do, with a full length game, because no one does horror quite like puppet combo.
It would be an interesting trip, especially with the skill of building up a tense atmosphere. Just a question if enough people would be willing to buy it today, because the market is overflowing with gigantic graphic based horror games and less story wise ones. I would absolutely go for it, but the advertisement from the already present fans in the Puppet Combo community must be on point - a full game is costing nerves, time and money.

to be fair, in stressful situations nicotine addicts (i.e. myself) can experience an increased need for their fix due to its momentarily-calming nature. is it smart to light up while a murderer's around? probably not, but mindsets play a powerful role into how we react. maybe his big boss attitude told him "light up! our intern can fix anything, and while dana got murdered i couldn't possibly fall for that trap!" or perhaps a more nihilistic side of him just figured, "smoke 'em while you got 'em".
Don’t be so hard on yourself John. This holiday season sucks major balls. Losing a dad earlier this year and trying to continue doing what you do: that’s tough. So fun story about loss and the holidays (it’s a little morbid and gross but it’s the human body so buck up): the Christmas after my father passed away, I went into a deep depression and had to be hospitalized. I had an ovarian cyst that ruptured but 17 year old me thought it was a bad period until I ended up fainting in a care now and had to be dragged to a stretcher. The doctors chalked it up to stress and prescribed me meds to fix my “leak” and I got a blood transfusion. I was never in any physical pain, but the emotional pain was terrible. Long story short, grief sucks and comes out in funky ways. Take it easy.

Bags of oranges , apples and some rice. They gave us a lot of food that kept us going this year and still keeping us going while I’m looking for a temporary part time job in the state I’m in. I love how every horror game has mannequins like their cheap and easy to obtain and that everyone just needs a form to craft clothes on. "Yes everyone has a mannequin why don't you have one?" even the ones that are heads for hair cutting are hard to come by unless you go specifically to a store that supplies cosmetology items and even then you typically need like a membership to the store.

to be fair, in stressful situations nicotine addicts (i.e. myself) can experience an increased need for their fix due to its momentarily-calming nature. is it smart to light up while a murderer's around? probably not, but mindsets play a powerful role into how we react. maybe his big boss attitude told him "light up! our intern can fix anything, and while dana got murdered i couldn't possibly fall for that trap!" or perhaps a more nihilistic side of him just figured, "smoke 'em while you got 'em".
Don’t be so hard on yourself John. This holiday season sucks major balls. Losing a dad earlier this year and trying to continue doing what you do: that’s tough.
So fun story about loss and the holidays (it’s a little morbid and gross but it’s the human body so buck up): the Christmas after my father passed away, I went into a deep depression and had to be hospitalized. I had an ovarian cyst that ruptured but 17 year old me thought it was a bad period until I ended up fainting in a care now and had to be dragged to a stretcher. The doctors chalked it up to stress and prescribed me meds to fix my “leak” and I got a blood transfusion. I was never in any physical pain, but the emotional pain was terrible.
Long story short, grief sucks and comes out in funky ways. Take it easy.

And embarrassing as it is...I was one of those people who also suffered do to C0VID-19 in September and had to go downtown with my father masked up to receive food benefits like bread , we got cans of beans, corned beef and condensed milk , lots of. Bags of oranges , apples and some rice. They gave us a lot of food that kept us going this year and still keeping us going while I’m looking for a temporary part time job in the state I’m in.

I love how every horror game has mannequins like their cheap and easy to obtain and that everyone just needs a form to craft clothes on. "Yes everyone has a mannequin why don't you have one?" even the ones that are heads for hair cutting are hard to come by unless you go specifically to a store that supplies cosmetology items and even then you typically need like a membership to the store.

I appreciate how well puppet combo builds tension in their games. There are plenty of more polished looking horror games that don't phase John at all, but in this he's actually yelling when the ripper comes out of a doorway or around a corner at him.

Dont discount luck, John. People are lucky to not have debilitating conditions, or accidents, or crimes committed against them, that prevent them from working towards their goals. People are lucky to grow up with educated parents, who could guide them through the process of applying for college, and finding jobs. Even if you dont just get handed money, there is still luck and privileges that contributes to your success, that are easy to take for granted. Sorry to rant about it. Love your work.
