    A really good fire-pit build, Andy. One suggestion, learned the hard way - put at least an inch of sand in it, on the clean steel. I will help keep it from burning/rusting through.

    Andy....brilliant, that's what you call a firepit, loved it bud, just think....snow, zero on the thermometer...yup cosy. Well done brother. 👍👍👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🍺🍺🍺

    The swing grill is a nice addition. But I'll bet the cooking isn't what's wearing on your back lol. That was a lot of rock you hauled, right there. I really liked how this looked. Well done. 🥰🥰

    WOW Andy! That is a great firepit you made. Love the stonework around it. You may have missed your calling as a stone mason. Do you own the property? If not you should buy it as the work you have done is pretty impressive with the pit and shelter. What is next? Maybe an outside table and stools made out of wood with a gazebo over it to protect from rain. Great job and as usual a great meal. You should rent this camp out for an off grid wildlife experience. Can't wait to see your next project and of course meal cooked over a fire. Cheers!

    The fire pit looks great. Initially I thought you may have put rocks around 3/4 of the bottom of the pit and leave a gap so you could use it as sort of an oven under the fire pit. I was wrong. It will make life easier when you are camping there. Well done Andy.

    Hi Andy love the vid. I thought you would have left an opening at the front of the rock wall around the pitt with a really flat rock on the ground, with a removable flat faced rock as a door, then you would have had a sort of underneath oeven or a place to keep things warm, just thought thats the direction you were going, something to think about mate? I dunno maybe im wrong but thats what i would do? Great job mate!

    Dude that grill is awesome! For the “cover”, speaking from experience, it’s worth the cost to go to a shop and have them make up a steel cover. Big benefit is end of the night, you can throw the cover on and let the fire simmer down,,,, still throws great radiant heat throughout the night.

    I have a fire pit in my woods, although I didn't bother to put rocks around it. I've found I needed to drill more holes in the middle of it to allow rain water to drain out adequately as it only came with one hole and that gets blocked. I also have a metal bucket which I put the old ash in as this turns to much if it rains.

  • @Andy-4342
    @Andy-4342 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Not sure if its a good idea to stack firewood directly against the shelter, it might encourage things to start living in between the wood and the wall and chew on the shelter walls. Thanks for another great video! 😁
