Can't go wrong
@@HotShotLionI thought that too 😂 had to put on my glasses before I replied "I am a single woman and watch Kens video as soon as it's posted" . Him, Shannon and the fur kids are Wonderful to watch!
@@lisabishop6266 they really are! I've been trying to keep up with Kent since he took on Bobby Flay.
Wyoming is truly a glorious state to be in. 🇺🇸

This video means more than chili. Beautiful representation of basking in mother natures glory. Thanks Kent and everyone who helped. Beautiful work, and God Bless!
COWBOY KENT

Thanks for watching
Cowboy Kent is one of those rare men, when he says "God bless you" he means it, and you know God is listening. God bless you, too, Ken!
When I put beans in chili, one can of kidney beans and one can of pork and beans. Adds a sweet flavor. People love it
Sounds good
Interesting 🕵
I like red kidney beans too. I'll try the pork and beans next time.
I always get very inspired when I come and watch your videos cowboy Kent hands down the best cooking show on the internet thank you. 🇺🇲
I appreciate that
As a Marine I'm so grateful that you take the time to give us all a shout out we love ya brother and btw remember the video where you did the Salisbury steak my fav keep up the great content take care and God bless you and your wife ....
Hoorah
I'm from Western Colorado, and we have beans in our elk chili too. I like the broth a little thicker so some cornmeal or a handful of tortilla chips works great. No matter how you make the broth, it's some of the best chili you will ever eat.
Yum, Im taking notes. 👍🍻
Sounds great!
I love some elk meat but I'll eat up a nice chunk of moose in the chili any time as well, we have very few elk in Alaska, I've been here 2/3 of my life, I live in Colorado the other 1/3, it was Mesa County my earlier elk story happened in and no I wasn't actually of pushing my horse but I sure wasn't trying to slow her down any😁
@@martykitson3442 I grew up in Mesa county, but I hunted on the Uncompahgre
@@ericericson4 my story was pinion Mesa but the ranch my dad worked for had permits on the uncompaghre I've riden many miles around the mudholes and little creek basin, unfortunately we were always in the middle of fall roundup on little creek during elk season
Fantastic episode Kent! It all looks delicious! I do like Elk! And that is a beautiful camp site my friend! I am jealous! You, Shannon, and Major have a great time. Really enjoying this series! Cheers!
Thanks for watching Tim and hope you have a blessed evening
LOVE ALL OF YOUR VIDEOS GOD BLESS YOU BOTH AND THE PUPS
Thanks and God bless you
Such warmth from your videos every time i watch it! Greetings from Kazakhstan! Our nomadic culture is so similar with cowboys... God bless you Kent and all of your family!
One of the other great things about this channel is the beautiful scenery. Outdoors is the best.
Man, love your videos but.. that one was impressive and amazingly superb! I tried the dish years ago in California, but, being a Spaniard, live in Southern Spain almost all my life and your recipe is definetely a blast! Greetings from Andalusia! Yeeeeehaaaa
We thank you for taking time to watch
You brought back the Rockies in Colorado and all the times I chased around those Mountains and the great camp food we shared during the hunts. Nice way to end the day. Thanks Kent and Shannon and the families on the ranch you were cooking for. Stay safe. Fred
enjoy your tales you've lived a hard life starting at them hours but you are blessed with such beautiful countryside and them lovely dogs much respect from arcoss the pond gordon
Thanks Gordon
I love me some elk chili!! Thanks, Kent
My mate Justin, when he lived in Arizona, got an elk tag, and his elk. Shared some of it with me, best best I ever had.
One of my favorites it is
My Lord what a beautiful camp sight! And to here those Elk bugle, heaven on earth! Thanks for sharing Mr Kent.🇺🇲🤠
My pleasure it is a great thing to listen to
I totally agree, what a beautiful sound. From central Idaho, we see them on the hill and hear them in the mornings. Nature is wonderful and to be appreciated. Especially when it's appreciated in the Dutch oven with some wonderful seasonings. Thank you for taking us camping!
Couldn't agree more!
Listening to that creek flowing and the Elk bugling, my blood pressure came down 10 points. Thanks Ken, these Wyoming videos are great.
Lord have mercy. We hunt elk, on foot, in the Uintah mountains. It’s always the same. The good news, we got one down. The bad news, now we gotta pack it out two miles on our backs (over 3 days). But boy, that beautiful, lean meat is the best thing anyone ever tasted after that much effort. Good for you and Shannon for living your best possible life.
Thanks Kent the duke and John Ford are passed on, your the greatest go to star there. Is, thank you Kent for keeping the trails nor only happy, but on going..your truly a blessing and living legend, you don't have Howard hawks, but you got Shannon, keep filming pilgrim
Ohhh, Mr. Rollins, why couldn't you have swung by, picked me up and taken me to Wyoming with you? That truly is God's country. You gotta love the Rocky Mountains and all it has to offer - including your FAMOUS CHILI CON CARNE in Elk Camp! :) May the Lord Jesus be with you and your family, cowboy.
What a wonderful video! Now that is true outdoor cooking with respect for what nature provides.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for sharin' your Elk huntin' history... Shannon's peaceful nature clips of the stream were great. And that taste dancing with your Texan buddy... was priceless. Love to see the Maj. such a great pup he is. Reminds me of my lil' Brinkley RIP. For a guy still back in Oklahoma, it made my day.
So sorry for your loss of your four legged friend
Big slice of cornbread covered in chili it just don’t get better than that ❤
Thank you so much for covering this recipe! I was just talking with my husband the other day about making chili con carne (which he loves) and needed a recipe. And here it is. 😁👍
Hope you enjoy
That view in the background is to die for
God bless, Kent and his family! God bless this channel and its followers! God bless America and our fellow countrymen! Love you all!
My favorite cowboy chef,go Kent .Beautiful country side, great cooking💯
Thanks it is a great place
Thanks again Mr Rollins for another down to earth video ✌️ from Beautiful East Tennessee
We thank you for watching
You teared my old eyes up, Sir. My Pop used to make, from all natural ingredients, soups, stews and all manner of dishes. We'd even butchered a hog from time to time or he'd buy a 1/4 beef. But! We also grew up hunting, fishing and trapping and he made the most wonderful meals with small game, fish, turtle, fish on up through deer, antelope and elk. I was, we were all blessed to have parents that did all that with and for us. God Bless you and yours
For sure, we are so blessed
Us veterans are proud to have served you Kent.
Hug you back Kent and Shannon. Did you save me some elk chili? In Southern Ohio, we have some poor families, so beans are common in chili here. Growing up, mom always made chili with kidney beans. I've had chili without beans and I like it too. Deer chili is common here too. It's bow season here right now. I have ground venison in the deep freeze from January. Hope it isn't freezer burned. When I was a younger man, I went hiking and camping above the tree line in Colorado Rocky Mountain National Park. A memorable trip.
That is beautiful. country for sure
It's nice to see you out our way Kent, Wyoming is a beautiful place.
Kent seeing the world ,one pot at a time ! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
What a wonderful life! God bless ya'll. I'm a Texan too. Beans are separate and well loved.
Whoa!! Native Texan here. Beans on the side please.😁 Thanks for another great video.
Was just thinking about it as you were talking about being in the Gila area... As a kid of 12-ish, our family went Camping at Diamond Rock(on the Black River, not far from Alpine) Caught Trout and one day drove down to Blue.. Really Rugged Country(esp in a 2wd). But Just STUNNING.
"Barely made an impression on me" as I recall and Picture the Details some 55yrs later.
🤗Thank You for stirring that Wonderful memory🤗
We thank you for watching
Oh, now!! You guys have upped your game on this Wyoming series. Kent's storytelling is just fantastic. All of the videography is beautiful. I know you didn't shoot all this with a iPhone. I hope to make my train videos this nice sometime soon. Wonderful work, all of you!
Hey Kent! Let us know when ever you are in North Georgia. Each Fall we hold a cowboy event in North Georgia and we we would love to welcome you!!!! God bless you sir
Thanks for the invite
Love the sense of humor! I come back to these all the times for the recipes and the laughs.
Elk 🫎 is soooo 🔥🔥🔥
Yep
I agree, elk calls are so beautiful
A wonderful sound
Well Major stole the show again- chasing that other dog up onto the table.🤣🤣🤣 He sure is a pistol. Great video, chili looked amazing and loved hearing the water in the brook. Take care guys.♥️
He is the real star
I've had elk meat over an open flame as a teenager, and that is the best tasting meat I've ever tasted.
Good eating for sure
I really do appreciate your salute to the flag and the troops at the end of each video.
Great job as usual, thanks for all you guys do for us.
Great video Kent. You, Shannon, and major have a great camp experience.
+1 for beans in chili. I'm from Texas and I don't see why other people don't want beans in it other than it not being allowed in some chili competitions. I'm not cooking chili competitively, so I always add beans because it adds a little something extra and makes it more hearty.
Wyoming is the greatest. Isn't it. Well maybe not the wind or snow, but I liked it.
Great country and great people for sure
I have used McIlhenny's Chili recipe for nearly 30 years. I have made it with beef, pork, elk, and even squirrel. This year I have made Texas Red using a different recipe and now I will have to make this one. The Texas Red was so good I swore never to make McIlhenny's again. If this one is better, I am going to go broke trying to keep up with your excellent cooking. BTW, I use your Chicken and Dumplings recipe exclusively now, as it is just like my Mother used to make with one exception, she would roll the dough flat, cut it into strips and put them on racks to dry some before we got back from Church. Makes my mouth water and brings memories of the old days 70 odd years ago.
Loved hearing about your elk guiding! Awesome and you're so right about hearing those bulls bugle.
Thank you Kent!
This chili looks delicious. Beautiful setting. Thanks for sharing.
Laughing!! Kent. Bowl is to hot!....I love your show !! More bloopers please.
Beautiful video from beautiful country!! Kent and Shannon y'all keep my memories alive!!! God bless you both!!🙏🙏
Real American treasure! Reminds me much of my outdoorsman elders when I was growing up. I’m 73 now and they are all gone but Kent brings it all back. Thank you sir!
That is awesome!
The dance is always the best part 🙌🏼❤️
Kent, you are a national treasure!!!
Thank you for this very special video in the beautiful state of Wyoming! Love watching your videos!👍❤️
This is what I think of when I think of America 🇺🇸 What a beautiful way to live life
Fantastic on the spot video. Always the fan of your great meals.
Traditional style cooking i love to watch. That dutch oven is so cool.
I agree with you on the elk, love to hear them. Washington St has a large herd... I forgot about the bellowing grunts of the buffalo.
LOOKS GOOD AND YUMMY
So good it was
I love hearty meals like this I'm from the North East so it gets cold so chili pot roast chowder and stews keeps you warm along with a good nap
Water means life❤.
Love this upload.
Thanks
Wonderful episode!!!! Amazing chili recipe!! Thank you Mr Kent!!!!!
When you described elk hunting… you brought it all back!
Can life get any better??
So happy for y'all Kent & Shan.
I like this vid. Well done! Back in my younger days when I was a poor wayfairing stranger, I ate a roadkill jackrabbit over some sticks under an overpass. Simple is good. Meat is meat, and a man gotta eat!
That looks so amazing and I haven't had elk stew since I was in probably the third grade when we were doing frontier days and man that's been a lot of lot of years and so I'm so happy to see this and I can't wait to try it myself.
Hope you enjoy
This is a great video, especially during bow season. Great timing!
Hope you get to go hunting
Este canal es oro puro, un saludo desde Chile
While working at the Grand Canyon I bagged an elk just outside of Williams AZ. The head chef of the El Tovar went to work and we had Elk burgers, Elk tacos, Elk chili, etc. you get the idea. (Thanks for bring back the memory's)
I am loving that place and of course your cooking too! I truly miss a mountain creek.
Montana before the cold sets in, I'll bet it is glorious!
Poor major, having to do the job of all 4 taste testers, he seems to be keeping up ok😁 bugled in an old herd bull one summer just playing while we were chasing strays, he snuck around and came in from behind I was watching a snorty youngster calling back to me when grandpa sounded out 30 yards behind me that palomino mare I was riding left the country and my dad swore I was off pushing her🤠
Yep! Use those loins for elk medallions! Just flame kiss them with some cracked black peppercorns and some coarse salt on a hot cast iron skillet. I know you have a few of those! Praying to the hunting gods for safety and success on our 4th season Elk opener on Colorado in just a few weeks! Great job on that camp chili! Fantastic!
Your videos are my little break from the day. This holiday I'd love to see you cook a ham outdoors and give us a glaze recipe .
Howdy Ken and Shannon from down in south Texas, thanks so much for your great shows. My wife and I enjoy watching and we learn a thing or too as well. God bless.
Always learn something new from Kent What a hand!

I just got back from the Grand Tetons and stumbled across a Royal Elk and his harem of about 20 cows.
I was the only one there and got some great pictures of him and recordings of him bugling. So Majestic!!!!!
I have a Elk tri tip and was trying to figure out a great way to cook it. Chili it is !!!!!!
Thanks Kent, love your videos and recipes.
I think the dog jumping on the tan was the best part😂
Beautiful camp site. Great recipe. Tasty Elk Chili. Lovely Wyoming ranch. Great helpers ... and eaters. You are blessed.
That we are more. than we deserve
Every thing to make looks delicious
It was so good
Great show Kent! I have 3 Cowboy Kent cookbooks and brought your Cowboy Coffee as my gift to a large family dinner recently. They still have one of your books which I need to get back!

Glad you enjoyed
Absolutely loving the Wyoming series. Great Elk chili recipe... Looks delicious. Always happy to see the Maj in the vids.
More to come!
An not just any old elk bugle, it’s that elk bugle deep deep in the norther Idaho woods that hits you in the heart
Cowboy Kent and I do agree...elk is the best tasting big game there is! In fact, my son and I are going elk hunting out here in Wyoming in two more days. However, I would never use a tenderloin for chili! Backstrap, maybe, but never my coveted tenderloin! Cornbread and chili...uummmmmmh. For those of you that may be concerned about getting untreated water out of the stream...so long as that water comes to a temperature of 158 degrees fahrenheit for at least 10 minutes (or boiling for 3 minutes), all those pathogens that can make one sick (including giardia) will be killed (I think the Cowboy said it was 2 hours and 45 minutes that he heated this). Love your recipe, Cowboy!
That looks amazing.
So good it was
I'm soooooo glad you put beans in chili. My dad (born in Minnesota) taught me (born in Texas) how to make chili, and it ALWAYS contained beans, and I LOVE it that way. But these other southerners, boy they're particular about their chili not having beans in it, so it usually ends up a point of contention when I make my chili lol. They usually end up admitting that it's tasty, though, so I consider that a small victory. Love your show, and have shared several of your videos with family members. Keep doing what you do. - With love from Texas!
