Much informative video this is. In India nowadays trend is : 1) U got offer from A. A's recruiter asked ur previous salary ....and on the basis of this they gave u hike. 2) Now u again got offer from B showing A's offer. B decided to give u more. 3) U again return to A and negotiate and then A gives u more than B This is ridiculous. I mean it doesn't makes any sense. Candidates are first low balled and then suddenly same company offering 2.5x of what they offered previously. I mean what's the point....If they could give 2.5x which is according to market range they can straight away give ....why so much of circus?? Just my thoughts!
In one of the job interview I remember I had ace the php dev role but later I was rejected because I didn't know maths. She asked me do u know permutations and combination? I said no. She added how come I become a developer if I don't know maths and i never got a call back.
Most important here at timestamp 22:30 , we can not discuss in advance our notice period though there is policy but it completely depends on our current manager, and discussing with the manager about resignation is like hitting axe on our leg.
Interview Procedure : Ask them What are the topics to consider in interview Ask them for the number of rounds Ask them for the job role beforehand Ask them for the salary band/ range beforehand Can you share me the job role Don't share your current salary to interviewer, say them : I would love to see your side, what number are you quoting Know your worth, and negotiate more your base salary, if they can't then try to increase your bonus & stocks
The problem with moving from a service based companies to a serious FAANG like company, is that since the notice period is usually 90 days its really difficult to get an interview. That is the reason why you should first stay away from colleges that insist on Mass recruiters, but rather go to a college that can bring in several product based companies. If you happened to get yourself thrown into a service based company you may need to go to a mid-level product company before you can move to a FAANG company. For a normal college goer they would be like how difficult would my life be in a service based company and they would just opt for it without thinking much about it since they might feel the pressure of ending up being jobless after 4 years of engineering. They need to know that it has the capacity to completely ruin their life and most times the difference between a service based and a product based company is night and day.

They literally force to reveal current and expected salaries If you say no they give number of reasons that I have to submit the numbers to higher management to gauge their budget vs current and expected

Nowadays I am not getting call because of 3 months. Recruiters are good with everything even with asked package but when I tell them NP is 3 months .They say, they will back to me again 😂😂😂
You have touched almost all paint points : ) Loved the tip about negotiating the notice period in the offer letter itself. I have been rejected for the notice period thing. Why can't companies be in harmony and decide okay, for this the fixed notice period in every firm?
Demand of the role gives you more chances to get recruited. If your profile fulfil their immediate demand then, you will be shortlisted. Here, the demand can be immediate joining, your unique skills that hardly could find in others, and finally your experience in the specific role they are looking for. Unfortunately, one demand we may not fulfil is, immediate joining. 😀
Hey there's a new company Ather energy hiring through hackathon and is offering 12lacs ka job Can you plz share more details on the questions theyll ask??
Companies don't want to get sued (especially in US) by sharing something that's not going to add value to them. They can always find a candidate who can get the job done whether you got the feedback or not. But ghosting a candidate is bad. Atleast give a rejection saying you didn't make it.

Most of the companies don't allow to reduce the notice period even with the compensation. :(
