I couldn’t agree more with you about learning to spin! I plucked up courage to go to a Guild meeting as a complete novice and those lovely ladies (and one gentleman) helped me achieve a wish to be a spinner! From day one I was encouraged to “have a go” and I’ve never looked back- that was June this year! I now have my own Kiwi and I love her dearly! I’d tried a Nano but that was not for me, so it’s all personal taste! Really enjoying your videos Nancy so thank you x
I moved to the States almost 41 years ago from Germany. I can definitely relate with the nostalgia feeling when going home but it isn’t home anymore either. But I’ve moved so many times since coming here and we’re not done yet. I can’t wait to finally be done moving. I still have contact with my classmates. I wished I could fly home for the trips they take together. It’s just awesome that they get together so often and every couple of years go on a long weekend trip together.
Any time you mention "gluten" in food reference my ears perk up. My son and I were living together in the boonies and I did the food prep for both of us. He is gluten and all dairy sensitive. I turned to Amazon and purchased the YuPik brand. To maintain freshness I store all my flours/meals, etc. in containers in the freezer. I bring the product out the day before I plan to bake so it warms naturally to room temperature.
