Such fun watching Glen tear into those advents.. He really appreciates good treats!!! Your advent yarns are beautiful!!! Good to see the whole family together again
I was so happy for you when you received your advent in the mail. Your excitement while you opened them was contagious!! Watching Glen open his advent is always entertaining. What a beautiful family you have!❤
Each Christmas I make Boeuf Bourgogne from an every day food magazine recipe m. It is the perfect Christmas Day stew and easy to prepare. Happy stew making. This issue which I saved is from 2005. That is how long I have been making this for Christmas Day dinner.
Squeeee!!! So happy you got your dandelion & dogwood calendar! And before Christmas too :) I got this one last year (after seeing yours from the year before) and it is just so beautiful.
What a wonderful video, we are all at the end(hopefully) of shopping, wrapping and then the fun of the Holidays , the little finishes take so much time, dont they - your day is gone in a blink!! I need to list what I have bought for each person and keep track of- do that always , you can even look back year to year - great lists to keep. I tried the sour dough starter years ago when I had all the family home - before they spread their wings and when you get down to two, or now just me - - no more. Had my quilt group of ladies here on Monday for brunch and it was wonderful, puts me right in the Christmas mood, we also do a fun swap after we eat - my tenth year having this group here, wonderful old friends. On the mugs, I do like a little bigger for my coffee - notice a lot are smaller - the Dandelion & Dogwood advent, wonderful !!! I have a couple of smaller Advent calendars I have been doing, such fun!!! And Glen is such fun - don’t you need that in your life, humor - 😊
For your sourdough starter try adding just a few (less than 1/8 tsp caraway seeds). It will help it bubble. I saw this on the “Our Gabled Home” podcast. It works! She has info about how her mom maintained her sourdough for years. She grew up in Germany & sourdough was always a part of her life. She has lots of great pointers for relaxed maintenance of sourdough. Until I saw that I was paranoid that if I didn’t feed it, etc. it’d die. It’s now less stressful & fun. Anyway, just a thought.
If you try feeding your starter with a higher amount of flour to water, it should take off for you! I did that with mine when it was sluggish, and it did the trick. Happy holidays!
Sandy, try using dark rye flour when you feed your starter next at half ratio to your all purpose. I usually feed my starter 50g water (95 degrees F) and then 25g each dark rye flour and all purpose. It will kick start your starter!
Hi Sandy. Love your vlogmas. You have such a quiet soothing voice and demeanor about you. Love that. Can you tell us what brand that food chopper is? I think I need one 😂🎉
