Same here. All the three protagonists and thier storires are pretty great, but Connor's character and his story is the only ones that interets me. I love his slow charater arc, multiple sides of his personality, and his funny interaction with Hank(I also love Hank very much, he is a great character that I can relate to)
Not me. I love Kara's and Alice's story, and Markus is fascinating as well

i love how Hank never makes Connor feel bad for letting a deviant run away. cause Connor is programmed not to fail, so probably doesn't know how to act when he does fuck up. but Hank's there to pat him on the shoulder and tell him that he did a good job or that they'll catch the guy next time. that's so sweet to me.

I feel like, even for an android, Connor is kinda weird, and I love that about him
Katharine W I thought that from the first mission (with saving that kid on the roof)Connor was sorta deviating because there could have been certain things for you to do. Like there was a fish o the ground dying and instead of leaving it there to die Connor could have taken it up(if the player allowed that). Sooo it might just be me but I think something’s a bit fishy with that...(oof that unintentional fish pun thoo)
SPOILERS - The RK800 connor series was programmed to deviate in the case of high value targets for infiltration, so that cyberlife could remotely take control and dispatch key targets, this is seen if you deviate and become leader as connor. Interestingly the god figure Kamski is above all this and gives a back door to any android sentient enough to use it.
@@thedreamcapture2681 When Amanda says Connor's deviation "was planned from the very beginning", I didn't take that to mean he was _supposed_ to deviate, just that Cyberlife had a plan in place for that possible contingency

I really like the way as Conner spent more time with Hank he picked up more mannerisms that Hank has, like sitting on the desk and waving his hand when he talked! So cute!

Connor becomes more and more human the more his friendship with Hank grew positive and to me it’s the beauty of the game in terms of relationships. I can’t imagine Connor staying as a machine in my playthrough.
He also becomes more sarcastic, which I absolutely love.

In Bryan's own words, much of Hank and Connor's interactions were Clancy and Bryan's improv. They apparently went 'Deviant' and David Cage had to leave them to their devices. 😂😂😂😂

I feel like the double Connor scene was a little more complex than "answer these questions right." Other Connor could have easily answered the questions correctly, but clinically. What it took was deviant Connor explaining what happened to Cole and (emotionally) telling Hank the accident wasn't his fault. The tone, the word choice, all of that would have been different if Connor wasn't a deviant (as we see in the rooftop scene). I feel like that's what clued Hank in the most.

I know, right! Fake Connor could've answered the same way, with the exact same words, but he would never sound as genuine and caring as the real Connor did.

Personally I always thought it had to do with him breaking down that programmed barrier that keeps all androids from enacting free will- the same way he tore down his own programmed walls! Tearing down his own restrictions was hard, and I can imagine working on someone else's might be difficult too. But that's just my thoughts, and might be entirely wrong!

Bryan Dechart (Connor's actor) had to fight David cage to keep Connor's wink in the final game because he thought it might become one of his quirks since his eyes are almost constantly flickering and twitching
Not especially relevant to the subject of the video per se, but I just finished watching a let’s play of the game and it’s very clear how Connor/Bryan Dechart’s mannerisms change over the course of the story as you choose the more deviant path.

The wink is like my favourite scene in the whole game. It's so unexpected and sneaky (I had to rewatch the moment a couple of times to be sure it was not the start of his info-receiving seizures), the way nobody ever mentions it in the game - all of that just makes the scene so freaking priceless!
God, in my random DBH paths-hunt I haven't stumbled upon the option of killing the wrong Connor yet. This is...dark. Truly dark. I don't even want to know what happens to Hank after that. It's even more scary considering I first watched the game on Jacksepticeye's channel and he actually managed to miss the only freaking piece of vital information about Hank's son. So it was a real effing Russian roulette with the names and the day was saved by spoilers: Jack's seen the shape of the name in one of the comments yelling he was missing stuff before. And he got the best ending possible, mind you. Ooooh, it could have gone real wrong real quick.
Jade Rush oh boy I was so terrified when the name of the episode was 'DID I MISS SOMETHING IMPORTANT?!' I was sure that meant what I thought and for once I was so so glad he'd glanced at spoilers. I absolutely hate the scene obviously but Hank's reaction is very cares-about-Connor so had to include it.. but jeez it's so painful, I can't imagine what Hank went through, but I can guess what he did next... ANYWAY the important thing is that in Jack's playthrough everyone survived and is fine and everything! It's fine!!
When I saw the name of the episode too, I was terrified! I didn’t want Jack to get that ending!
Yeah, I know, the name of that episode got me on the edge immediately xd But I still could not have imagined that he missed the entirety of Hank's backstory and that Connor's life would actually depend on this. Woooah, that was stressful.

I don’t get how people see them as romantic, it’s way more of a father/son relationship to me (hank literally calls Connor “son”, stops him from getting killed on the highway, the hug ending🥺, hank acts protective)
I see hank as kinda like his father/mentor figure, too. But when hank called connor 'son', he meant it as a form of endearment. It's like an affectionate way of calling a younger man 'kid', which is still pretty wholesome if you ask me.
My heart shattered into a thousand pieces when I watched Connor crumple and die...
What’s so interesting yet sad about their relationship is the many different endings. SPOILER:
One being Hank killing Connor, another vice versa. Hank shooting Connor on accident. Hank shooting himself because Connor keeps dying and reminding him of Cole, and the worst part is, Connor lets him. Even the many ways Hank reacts to Connor’s death, in one of them calling him ‘son’ without intending to.

RedK5 Yes, in the Stratford (?) tower, if Connor goes to interrogate the androids, one will take his thirium pump out (pretty sure that’s what it was, it acts as a heart/core). He has like 120 seconds to get to it before he dies, and if you are unable to, Hank rushes in and calls him that before Connor dies.

@@KitchenWitchery because connor literally gives Hank hope. If you have a good relationship with him, it keeps him alive. If Connor deviates and has a good relationship with him, it ends with them hugging and it's a hopeful ending for both of them. It's not far-fetched at all that Hank sees Connor as a son, obviously not a replacement for cole, but a son nonetheless. He even says that when Connor died it reminded him of cole. Also, before that scene he was referring to Connor as an "it" so it was a turning point for him.
