Flamingerudostalion That too, but what I was trying to say was also for the fact that Hank just told Connor beforehand to stop following him, questioning him and just leave him be, and he even tells Connor they'll never be "buddies" and stop trying to escalate the matter, but then once he sits down and gets his meal, and Connor asks if he's enjoying his burger, Hank smiles and goes, "yeah! This burger is the best! This guy here, he makes the best burgers!" It surprised me how friendly he was towards Connor when he asked him about the burger, when just a minute ago he told him to stop talking to him. I mean he wasn't friendly towards him when he asked what was his dog's name, so I really wasn't expecting Hank to be nice to him either in this scene. Perhaps he was only acting grumpy and mean all the other times because he had a bad day? I know he's troubled but he's not seen in a good light at the Police Department and Gavin always mocks and picks on him, so does Perkins. So maybe that combined with his lost son together puts a lot of stress on him and felt Connor is no different with him asking him all these questions and telling him to pull himself together, but then he warms up to Connor, even when they don't necessarily agree with each other on things. Or perhaps Hank wasn't himself when he was hungry. Like in that Snickers commerical where they say "you're not you when you're hungry." And he probably hasn't eaten in a long time due to all the missions he goes on, so maybe the burger brought back some energy in him and made him feel satisfied, therefore he was friendlier!

This is very nice! This is one of the ones most people don't really give much thought, but that has so many different options that it's crazy...
It's also another I'd been wondering about for a long time...
I think the ones that require different choices a bunch of chapters back are the hardest to show every single choice... I didn't really think anyone would. and yet here this is...
I think that covered almost the entire scene... I think the chapter can start differently if Connor only died chasing Kara and not in the interrogation scene, because Hank will be more surprised if this is the first time he sees Connor come back after dying... But still, having all of them like this is crazy. Thanks for this!

Kinda cute that you get positive points when lecturing Hank about the burger. Shows at least that he can take criticism very well, even when coming from someone he doesn‘t like.
Hank‘s a really nice guy, those two are my favourite of all the story lines.
