    Got both--a6000 and the TZ100 and enjoy using both. I bought a rubber finger grip (less than $10 on eBay) for the TZ100 and that seems to solve any handling issues. Thanks for you video.

    Thanks for the review, I am looking at this camera as a alternative to my Nikon DSLR when not in a position to have it with me but need something in case a picture opportunity presents itself. Was looking at he Sony RX100 plus rang but now I think I'll stick with this, seems better value.

    Can this camera record video and be powered by USB charger at the same time and not draining the battery?

    the tz100 is around £130 used but scores higher than the rx100 m4 which sells used for almost double that. nice camera

    Great review thanks. Can't find a comparison between the TZ100 and Sony 6000 in your uploads - did you ever do one?

    • @AvpStudios
      @AvpStudios  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately I didnt, I no longer have the TZ100 so cannot do one. The comparison would be a little unfair as the Sony has an APSC sensor, inter changeable lenses etc. It is a better camera, not pocketable though.

    Hi. Have you had a look at the DMC TZ90. It does have a tilt screen or do you think the picture quality would not be comparable. I can't decide between the two cameras.

      Hi. I bought a DMC TZ90 from John Lewis five weeks ago. Good camera until after three weeks the lens stuck out in the telephoto mode : System Error (Focus). Camera stopped working. Returned to John Lewis for a full refund (told that fault has happened before)

    I have just bought this camera and can't find out how to get it to shoot raw files. The quality setting as greyed out. I am very used to dslr cameras particularly canon so know my way around menus but this TZ100 has me stumped. It must be so easy to un-grey the menu items but I can't find it. Can anyone help. I've tried forums but can't seem to get anywhere. HELP.

      Hi Lynda. Did you find a fix for your RAW Issue. One reason may be is that you cannot set RAW Image Quality in the following cases:
      • Panorama Shot Mode
      *1 • [Handheld Night Shot] (Scene Guide Mode)
      This Info is in the Manual Page 141

    I'm willing to bet that this guy owned a Praktica SLR at one point in his life. There is a slight chance he just might still have it. Which would be rather cool.

    TZ100 will zoom work while recording a video ?

    • @josealbertogonzalezsaucedo9856
      @josealbertogonzalezsaucedo9856 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, it is a little slower than in photo mode, but it works while recording video.

    I use cameras for photography and having had a TZ100 and a TZ200 had to return them as almost any cropping said goodbye to clarity. Does quality vary from camera to camera? I do have an RX100 III and an RX vi and would say that they are vastly superior to the Lumix in picture quality, They are definately worth the extra money.....Keep up the good work young Bob, always watch your videos.

    Using the i-zoom it will go up to 500mm with little loss of picture quality :-)

    I'm disappointed because the angle is much narrower than on the Lumix FZ100.

    I have this camera and find the jpegs have heavy noise reduction which destroys alot of the detail and you can't change that so i always shoot raw which are just about ok for a 1inch sensor. The 4k video or any resolution you set is prone to alot of rolling shutter so you do have to be careful how you shoot, the touch screen is very easy to touch when holding the camera when shooting so you end up changing some thing you didn't mean to i usually turn it off, so i have found the camera to be ok but not fantastic and not as good as all the reviews seem to portray it to be.

    • @68blues
      @68blues ปีที่แล้ว

      So why did you buy it?

    • @GrandadsReviews
      @GrandadsReviews ปีที่แล้ว

      @@68blues because I wanted a small carry around camera that could shoot 4k video and take reasonable images plus I needed a small camera for B-roll and for that it works ok.

      @@68blues I find the camera to be much slower than a Suzuki 650cc, but it does have a way better sensor and is much more pocketable.

    I have been using this superb little camera for almost 2 years but I cannot find a Stabiliser , I tried Zhiyun M2 which is working with Sony ? no way to get it set . when you ask other suplyer about compatibility you cannot be sure so you don't order it . The problem is always same , connectivity with other material; Smartphone, if you don't have the right phone , the right androïd Vs. Don't you thing it's time manufacturers get their act act together ?

      I absolutely do, I am still yet to find an app that works OK, DJI and Blackmagic Design have great apps for their cameras but why the 'big guns' such as Canon, Sony, Panasonic & Fuji have not created a usable app I do not know.

    Thanks for the video review...but spoilt a bit by you always pronouncing the letter H as haaaytch and not aitch as it should be. The pronunciation haaaych does not exist.
