I really appreciate that you show the inside of the pot as it's done cooking. Because that's where most people mess up. The secret is in this phase. Thank you

I always cut my butter up in smaller sections so it melts faster.

I always melted my butter in the pan first. Then added the sugar and cocoa powder. Makes it much easier.

My Mama used to make these, but I never got the recipe, because I don't particularly like the peanutbutter flavor in them. I like peanutbutter on bread and peanutbutter cookies. Just not in THESE cookies. Can they be made without the peanutbutter? That sounds YUMMY to me! 😊💕

Yes, by all means you can omit the peanut butter. if they are not as firm as you like just add a little more oats. They should turn out beautiful...Hope this helps you and thank you so much for watching.

You can use sunflower butter, almond butter etc. I made these every day at my cookie bakery. A double batch, some times twice a day for 8 1/2 years I had the bakery. For the past 6 years I have been making them gluten free and dairy free as I am allergic. Closed my bakery because I couldn't be around the flour anymore.
