@@danielanderson3286 I have to admit that I like seeing the sculpts of the newer ones which have the dynamic poses, but I’m like you, original is always best (and I’m the same about 1st Edition 40K Beakies)! I also think the originals work a lot better for gameplay as there’s no ambiguity about the facings. It’s just a personal preference thing, most likely tinged with loads of nostalgia! I do get why others might take a different view. Cheers for watching! ~ Gordon
@@wanntime1894 That’s brilliant, I’m delighted that you are enjoying these so much that you are hoping for more! The short answer is yes, the plan is to play through those and as many 1st Edition missions as we can get our hands on! The longer answer is that we’ll rotate between blocks of narrative reports and live play reports so that when Classics concludes, the follow up series to Allan Stenhouse’s Space Hulk: Damnation Eternal will begin, then after that we’ll have the Deathwing series, and so on until Allan’s series comes to a conclusion and we eventually have played through all of the 1st Edition missions and those from the Campaigns book. As well as all episodes of Damnation Eternal being available, if you are still keen for more, we’ve already played The Last Stand and some homebrew missions in an earlier version of the live play format you see here - please have a look at our dedicated Space Hulk playlist, every report to date is in there, and I’ll drop the link below… So, if you’re up for the long haul, we hope to entertain Space Hulk fans for a long time to come! Nice one mate will do! Absolutely love 1st edition space hulk your play thoughs are really enjoyable to watch. I'm very lucky to own 1st edition and the 2 expansions but unfortunately have not played any with the pysker rules, only saw guerrilla min games play and looks really good fun. Just noticed you have tyranid attack also! I'll be making my way though them aswell!
@@wanntime1894 Oh, cheers again! I’ll be honest, we had played a couple of games with the psychic rules back in the day, but we didn’t enjoy them that much. It was mostly because we felt that the psykers were king and we didn’t like how it made the non-psykers almost a side-note in the game. However, we have a lot of distance between then and now, so we’re looking forward to revisiting the psychic rules and, now better prepared for the effect it will have on the game and, approaching them with an open-mind, giving them a fresh run out! All being well, perhaps it will encourage you to dust off your copy to try as well! I won’t pretend otherwise though, the scheduling is such that getting to Genestealer is over a year away, apologies in advance for the wait! Oh, and I hope you enjoy the Tyranid Attack missions, although no new battle reports for that game are imminent, more are planned! ~ Gordon
For some reason TH-cam didn’t send me a notification for your video ☹ Watched half now, what a spectacular lack of 6s for the marines at the beginning! Will watch the rest later, thanks for uploading, dude!
@@thesmoog734 Cheers for joining us again and I’m sorry about TH-cam’s lack of notification! 🤔😡 Ha, I agree about the shocking rolls, but that’s how it goes sometimes… I hope you enjoy part 2 later! ~ Gordon
Another great video, thanks for sharing. Good mission this one. I feel possible harder for the Stealers, although the Marines did get some lucky shots here and there.
@@KDK1976 Thanks again for joining us and taking the time to share your thoughts! Yep, I think there’s good balance in this mission. It always feels doable but the danger zone is when you move into the centre of the board where the rooms are at either side of you - I’ve seen the Stealers absolutely tear through the Marines around that area as often as not! It’s one of those ones that if the Marines lose a few Terminators early on, it can really fall apart quickly! ~ Gordon
my memory of this game is fuzzy at best, but can the terminators really move diagonally in those narrow passageways? seems they would be blocked by the corner of the wall?
Cheers for joining us again, it’s always appreciated! Funnily enough, someone else asked the same question on one of the previous videos. It is in the rules that you can do it but if the square directly in front of them (as well as to the side) was blocked then they wouldn’t be able to move diagonally. I hope this helps! ~ Gordon
@@LifeofDieyep indeed it is in the rules. I do however have house rules in our games that the Marines cannot move diagonally (unless there is nothing blocking side and front, like in a room). makes more sense to me for them to be less nimble. Just my 2 pennies 😂
@@KDK1976 I get the logic of that and, as someone who often tinkers with rules myself, I can’t take issue with you doing that! I just find the game is already hard as nails for the Marines! I admire you ratcheting up the pressure yet another notch! ~ Gordon
