Can we just give Mike a❤❤❤ for sitting next to Tawra while she's talking, carrying on a conversation , concentrating on the computer, researching things for Tawra.. And being witty and handsome and a role model for husbands and Christians😉
Hubby has worked at 2 Aldis and he is part of the management team, he says they mark down whenever the associates have an opportunity to restock and set a department. When you are running a grocery store with 3 people on a shift, there is no set time when specific tasks get done such as markdowns. I am not sure how other grocery stores handle this, but Aldi employees work very hard and must be proficient at restocking all departments, and rapid customer service at the same time.
🇨🇦Boxing Day is big markdown after Christmas sales, get great prices better than the current Black Friday sales as they are literally trying to clear out old inventory. The sales actually continue after Boxing Day til they clear as much as possible.
I always check the clearance rack. We bought reusable shopping bags for 0.25 each after Halloween. They are decorated with trick or treat but they they are identical to the bags that sold at the checkouts for 1.25 each.
Just an idea...you might consider shopping at farmers' markets for anything not too outrageously priced cuz there is value in keeping the producers going. The little guys don't get subsidies etc. I quit selling in my town because it wouldn't pencil out at Wal-Mart prices.
We got a decent deal on ground beef so today I’m making your barbecue meatballs and freezing them for quick meals. Then for dinner tonight. Tonight I’m making your meatloaf recipe and will pair with mashed potatoes and a vegetable.
All the Krogers that I know of have a small free standing frame with red bag sales. All the items in the red bags are .99. This is right next to their over ripe banana mark downs. I learned this from living on the Medium.
Did not know about stores marking stuff down for clearance at certain times, or about how long meat is good past the sell by date. Thanks for your great tips, Tawra. I will be passing this info on to my sons who are all needing to cut their budgets. Wish I had known these things when I was a young, just married.
Tawra, I watched the replay. My mother was born in Bazine and grew up on a farm near Dighton, KS. I went to cousins reunions in 2013 and 2016 in Dighton and Garden City. I have cousins in Dighton, Hays, Ness City, Scott City, Dodge City, Gypsum, and Goodman in Western KS. Also, a number of cousins live in eastern KS. Mom move to WA with her 4 children to marry my father. I’m the oldest of their three children born in WA.
Looking forward to fall too!! I’ve thought about that too… all the fall desserts …. I might have to allow myself a small sample here & there ! I agree about the prophecy thing . Lots of false prophets & preachers out there . Now’s the time to trust Him, like never before ! He has us in the palm of His hand !!
Hard to find recipe if I do not know exact name of recipe. So when I find recipe I write down name of dish with page number on your blank pages in cook book. Also I highlight the recipe on the recipe page so easy to find. Problem solved.

If you must buy zucchini, try calabacitas. They usually cost significantly less and in my opinion cook and taste the same.
