I make my husband's coffee he puts 4 scoops in so I will stand there and put 4 scoops in but what he can't see is they are half full.... And he says he loves how I make his coffee.....😂
Your live shows are some of my favs! I listen predominately as I'm riding down to Indiana from Michigan several times a week visiting my recently widowed mother-in-law in the nursing home. It makes the trip seem not so bad! I adore your conversation and enjoy your smart tips!
TAWRA, I ordered all 3 of your cookbooks and then ordered two more of Volume 1 to give to my sons. I am very pleased with your cookbooks! and all the tips and advice and menu ideas. Thank you for all the hard work you did to put them together. I also love all your videos. I will be watching those while you are traveling. Hope you and your husband have a wonderful anniversary trip!
AMEN! to all of the above points you made. Though I haven't had a chance to join a live, I do watch the replay. I'll rewatch some of your old lives. Listening you the 3 of you, helps keep me on track. Take care. Looking forward to see what content you put out.
I will miss your live shows also! Love being able to sometimes watch them live especially with the time difference between the USA and Australia! Looking forward to watching more of your content that your kindly create and so lovingly share with so many around our world! God Bless and much love from our family to yours! xxx
Take a jar of sweet pickle juice and slice in an onion, place it in the microwave untill the onion is soft. So good to eat from the jar or on burgers. ❤
It's just me now. I only cook what I am going to eat within 3 days. When I don't feel like eating leftovers I cook only 1/2 a chicken breast or 1 hamburger patty, 1/5 of a sausage rope, etc. Add a cup of my favorite veggie and that is my meal. I still buy items for my pantry. I do actually eat a whole can of Progresso soup as my whole meal. I do not like it left over. I always love the way you and your mom think. My best friend and I eat out once a week. We have a Pub that has daily specials for $8. We order one, split it, order water and split the tickets & tip. We eat out for $5 each. We have 3 places that let us do that. That is the only way we can have an outing.
We are retired and one of the guys my husband goes to have coffee with at a car parts place has chickens and they can't eat all the eggs. He came home with free eggs.😊Yes, please, and thank you!
Love these tips. I try not to waste food. A few years ago I decided to work out the cost of my waste, eg if I bought 6 tomatoes and 1 went mouldy before it could be eaten, then 1/6th of the total price I paid for the tomatoes was deducted from the next week's grocery budget, as a dollar amount. It worked because I was overbuying. I became more aware and consequently, less wasteful. Another tip re the pickle juice, put thinly sliced (matchstick size) carrot sticks into pickle juice to make purple pickled carrots, Delicious!
We learned that the Oat Milk and Almond milk has oil in it. We found some Silk Soy Milk unsweetened and it's so much better! Yes! Portion sizes matter!
I use 12 pounds of carrots even 15 pounds of carrots I make carrots soups sauce ketchup I even use the peels of veggies make broth I save ends of meat and bones in broth use cheese in place of milk in recipe.
I have to clean me fridge. I know there are things in there that I forgot about. I'm home from a 480mile trip. Not doing it today. "Just because it says it's 2-3 serving doesn't mean it is a meal for that many people. You can have a salad or a sandwich to complete the meal."
I have a request.I know you said you weren’t doing any lives for a while, but I desperately need Mike and yourself to do a Bible questions show.I am not understand end times ect and yall explain things so I can understand. Ty so much, Debi Bailey
I have an upside down fridge (freezer at the bottom, fridge on top - separate doors for each). I bought it in 1991. I have to defrost the freezer twice a year (no biggy) and that is why it costs less to run. It is a Westinghouse brand, made in Australia (where I am from).
I love your live videos. I don't always catch them live but the long video is good for cooking and cleaning "music". Have a great trip East. I grew up in MA (not far from Kimmy) and it my opinion, New Hampshire is the place to go! Love you all. Prayers for our country. Go Trump!!
If people cut out soda and drinks they would be able to get better cuts of meat and butter instead of margarine. No one needs all those sugary drinks. Drink water!!
I couldn't agree more. I buy coffee, rooibos tea, powdered milk and cocoa powder. That's it. I drink water mostly. Home made hot chocolate in winter as a treat (no marshmallows!). I saw on an Australian "budget" food haul, they bought almost $50 in drinks (excluding the 30 litres of milk). It was all sugary and unnecessary beverages. And people wonder why they are (a) broke and (b) overweight!
I'm doing that. I was a diet Mountain Dew-aholic but prices are obscene so I've switched to iced tea. I discovered I was hoarding tea so I have a big supply!
Jill your right People at a church luncheon pile up so high where there food is mix I really don’t know how they eat it Then those same people go back again
I got rid of my microwave a year ago. It takes a few extra minutes but it's not radiated. Just plan ahead...I cook everything from scratch, but I always have, so it's no big deal.
We will miss you while you are gone. You have taken these breaks before, but your mental health is worth it. Stewed tomatoes? We used to have them as is for a side for dinner. You can have a balloon, I live near 3 military bases here in Jacksonville FL. We have helicopters...they circle around, then the planes take off, and they seem awfully low, like they are avoiding radar, and on, and on, and on. The news media also uses helicopters, and we have several bridges here in this city, so if there is an accident, etc, somebody's sending a chopper. I was taught to divide the meal plate as 1/4 of the plate to both the meat and your starch, and 1/2 the plate to veggies. My mother used to always make both a green veggie and an orange or yellow veggie. Again - I will miss you personally. Have a great time off.
Yes we need to eat less food to save on groceries I think the cost of rising cost of food is trying us to let us eat less to remain healthy and cut down on insurance costs and health problems
I make some kind of casserole on sunday and eat this for dinne. Oatmeal or a scrambled egg for breakfast . Lunch is just a snack or a sandwich for lunch
When you mentioned the histamine reaction to bone broth, I looked in to it. The article I read said it is also in collagen. I take OTC allergy meds daily so I don't notice food allergies.
Hello I just heard you speak of the repackaged cool aide. Watch the sweeter if it says sugar free it might be sweetened with aspartame. For my self that is a trigger for my seizures. Now I do use the one with sugar. I can’t buy them at Wal Mart. Anyways you can put one package in a bottle of 42 oz. It is not to sweet that way.
My country doc told me to eat mustard for leg cramps. When I had them really bad, I would squirt mustard in my mouth before I went to bed. It really helps. The doc would eat it on his steak 😅. (He is a rancher)
If I do go thru a drive-thru, I buy a kids' meal. My granddaughter laughs at me because the drink cup is soooo small on some kids' meals. Sometimes, if I am in town (25 miles from home) longer than expected, I will buy a package of peanut butter crackers to tide me over. I am learning to be thrifty again since I retired last year. I was used to a nurses salary and being single. Yes, I was spoiled, but I also helped my kids, food boxes, and homeless, etc. I buy 99% of my clothes from thrift stores.. but I have done this for years. New clothes prices are ridiculous. I let other people pay those prices and then donate them 😅. I nibble too much most days now that I am retired. I have all 3 of your books, so now I need to start cooking twice a week and eat for 7 days.
Price control is what Canada does. Our friends there would always ask them to bring them cheese when we came to visit them. It was un affordable for them. Some of their police got caught smuggling cheese in and out of the country. It’s ridiculous to do this and only drives the price up.
Suggestion: please make a list of the typos & changes in the cookbooks. I am not always in a place where I can make the changes. If you have done this already, please post a link. Thank you! Enjoy your trip. We don't "give our lives to Christ," but believe that He gave His life for us.
That’s a long time for snow I’m in Bundaberg qld Australia and from November sometimes early than that to Feb it’s real hot and our winter only couple months in fact one year it was only very cold all day for 2 weeks the rest is just cold in the morning and afternoon My dd 20 went to cambra and it was real cold there 3 -16 for the day and down to - where we have 12 -24 we had up to 28 couple weeks back that was getting hot
I will miss your live shows but look forward to seeing your videos whatever they are. Jill, what you were saying wasn't negative, it was wise guidance for us all. Like you I've been stocking up our pantry & buying up Christmas gifts early. Being prepared is wisdom for sure. 🥰Blessings from South Australia💕🐨

In the 70s, pop was for holidays only. I quit pop altogether. My husband switched to home made iced tea. Saving us so many calories and dollars 😊

Me too, I usually only have time for ( pod cast ) type videos. I have numerous podcast apps but never miss this one when live. Sad
I’m watching at 9:20pm too.
And when you get yourself out of consumer debt, it's amazing!

Hi Guys, will miss the live shows. I wish you all well. God bless you ❤️
Do some research into how the British people cooked and ate during WWII under strict rationing. They were very creative and also very healthy.
I will miss your shows!!!
Our date meal is 2 hotdogs and 2 sodas from Costco for $ 1.50 each. Some times we even get the ice cream for $2.50 and share it with

Cottage cheese with a no salt seasoning for me makes a good breakfast.
Its honey crisp time here and yesterday I made apple crisp with the recipe from your cookbook. so good!!

I have a fridge I bought in 1992.I fixed it twice.Still runs I hear new ones last 10 yrs. if you're luckey
I hate to say it but you will probably have to buy closer to 5-8 years for new ones. :-(
We bought our Whirlpool range in 2000, haven’t had an issue with it yet! They don’t make things like they used to😢
