Great fun machine! I've been wanting to experiment in making a "hill billet" flywheel for a 212. On some there is a rough cast step on the skirt of the stock flywheel that is machined and fitted with a ring gear on the electric start models. My idea is to take the flywheel and finish machine that step, then turn up a steel ring and shrink fit it on. I think this will work, because from what I have seen the electric start models don't have the inside out flywheel issue due to the ring gear holding everything together. Another thing I have seen with the stock flywheel is some of the "explosions" aren't due to the flywheel giving up. Instead, it's the flat head screw in the center of the impulse magnet that gives up and let's the magnet become one with the air cowl. I think doing the ring mod and replacing that screw with a flat head socket screw would be a cheap way to greatly improve the stock flywheel.
@@Mikefestiva I was just wondering about the hella light on your brothers mini bike. Is it wired up or just for looks? Haha looks sweet. Also was wondering what clutches and rear sprocket you guys are running? Did you end up going back to the torque converter? Is your brother still running the jackshaft or did he switch to a torque converter as well? Love these videos man, you guys have great taste in how you modified them. Your channel is amazing, new subscriber and love all your projects and cool things you make! I am into everything you guys seem to be except I can't fabricate 😂
I love those mini bikes mike! Great job on the seat mod, the bars, the led lights super sweet upgrades. You guys are having way to much fun on them. Be careful.
Looks like a blast! Love the customization you do to all your builds. You make it so it works best for you and how YOU want it. Not some rando on the internet. It’s why I always come back to this channel.
Looks like you’re having fun with these not just riding them but with the mods too. I reckon one of these bikes would be a good platform for anyone, no matter their skill level to try their hand at modding.
Loved the video Mike! Seems like you had some editing fun as well lol. Can't wait to see the upgrades!!! I was wondering how the mini bikes were holding up, glad to see you guys are still ripping around on em! Keep up the great content 👏
Welcome back! hey Mike thanks for the video! Its really great in the USA you can just go to harbor freight and buy stuff like small engines. Locally here in Estonia theres not much to choose from atm... like either go with a 6hp or a 6,5hp... lol only option would be to order from amazon... Retailers do stock some engines but at outrageous prices (500 for a 7hp engine......) I bought the 13hp engine for my bandsaw mill for only 300 bucks...Great video very enjoable to watch. I hope your having fun at your cabin :) Btw you reached 200k bud huge congratz from me :)
Thanks for checking out my new video Ants! Yes the little engines are available at a great price. I just bought a Harbor Freight Predator 212cc engine on sale the other day for $139! A few years back they would go on sale for $99! The really cool thing is just how many parts are available to make these small engines put out twice there rated HP. 200K is pretty crazy 😜 now if I could get YT to start recommending my channel and videos once again to new viewers and my subscribers 😂
I really like those little minibikes, might work well at my farm. It is my understanding that the stock cast iron flywheel on the Predator engines are a disaster waiting to happen if you remove the governor. Looking forward to seeing what you do with it
That’s remarkable on engines known to have Stone Age carburetors and no advance on the magneto ignition systems. These engines are generally designed to run at one specific RPM like on a generator or a lawnmower. I’ve never thought of them as something that has a wide power band
I have a Coleman CT200U-EX, I bought a Tillotson 225cc Performance Engine from GoPowerSports, and I tell you what, it's a big difference between only going 19 mph to now going 59 mph. I could get it to go a little faster by changing the sprockets, which I haven't done yet, I've just left it like it is, because 59 mph is pretty good. I bought the engine last summer and it's a very reliable engine, plus it's beefed up to make the engine stronger. It puts out 18.626 hp, according to the dyno sheet they sent with the engine. You should get one of these engines, but they're not cheap!
@@OlympicOverland Yeah, I think the one I bought was the most expensive one. Then I had them replace the 22mm knock off Mikuni carburetor and put a 24mm flat-side Mikuni carburetor, which boosted the power up a little from what it would have been. They are strong and reliable engines, I highly recommend them to anyone!
@@Deucealive75 Yeah, but I removed the jackshaft and put on a Torque converter with the juggernaut. The rear sprocket is a 54 tooth I believe, it was what came stock on it, but yeah, it definitely rips! I should post a video on my TH-cam channel so everyone can see it.
@@roypatterson9910 that’s awesome! I will look into one of the flat slides. I already have the 225RS intake manifold and like how it is tucked in versus hanging out to the side.

Another great video man, hope you had a fun summer…with that little mini bike it looks like you did..:) I would love an update on the suzuki as mine is almost done..thanks for the upload dude
The flywheel you need for the 224 will be the same one you couldn't get for the 196. Remember? Great idea with the seat. I was looking at the same thing. I have a 78 RM250 seat I was thinking about using on my Coleman. Also. It won't take a lot to get the 224 to keep up with or beat the Ghost.
Put 196cc heads and push rods on a 212 you won't regret it. I had my 212 cranking on stock internal parts. I even made an oil cooler for it. You can plumb propane into the intake of the carburetor, then when your riding wide open throttle you can crack the propane open and gain a few more mph. The propane works as extra fuel and at full throttle the engine will get the optimal air flow to burn the extra fuel. It's poor man's nos.
Thanks man! I really appreciate it 😊Haha honestly the 200K is great and it’s cool to see the channel grow to that size but it means nothing when it comes to YT, they don’t let most of my subscribers know when I have a new video up.
