These were meant to be one song but they had to break it up because of their record company. Tool is studied in Eastern philosophy and use tribal rhythms, guitar riffs, and almost chanting , haunting vocals to effect you molecularly. They are on a different level!!! Glad your doing some of the doubles… they are some of their best music. As always 🌀 out my friend !!!!
Great sound! Really unlike anything else. Awesome stuff.
Aaaaahhhhhhh!!!!!
You've gotta hit that drop in-between songs!!!!
One of the top 50 best rock drops of all time!
Probably top 20
I wasnt warned about that 😅. Amazing songs though! Looking forward to the next one.
maynard also has some videos called the art of work and a documentary called blood into wine they are all on youtube
Have you seen Maynards Easter story? It's pretty cool.
Thanks for letting me know. I am at the last podcast with Rogan and i need something to fill the void 😄
Wait till you hear “The Grudge”….it’s EPIC!
I have a reaction to The Grudge, but it was pretty early in my TOOL journey. Also probably still on my old laptop, and i had some framerate issues sometimes.
“Spiral Out Keep Going”
🔧🌀⚙️🌀👁🌀⚙️🌀🔧
🤘🤘
One of my favorite Tool songs! That transition from Parabol to Parabola gives me goosebumps every time! And such a positive message. Love Tool! Enjoyed your reaction. Great insight.
Great song and concept. TOOL is amazing. Thanks for watching! Have a great day.
Love your reactions, Saeed! Between Tool & Maynard’s other projects, Dimash and Lara Fabian, you’re covering all my favorites! ❤
Thanks so much! Appreciate you being here ❤️
This is a must have at my funeral...
Amazing song. I hope that day wont come to soon 😃
Same.
“Feeling eternal. All this pain is an illusion.”
Dude I love your honesty
"I'm gonna ascend to this music"..yup
Yes , it is like a prelude to Parabola. Notice the lyrics are almost the same in both songs, just different between songs.🌀🤘
Tool, man... its just so freaking good!
Love your tool reviews my man. Keep going.
Thanks! Definitely will check out more in the coming week.
Tool CDs come with a lot of art inside them. They are quite incredible, some of them are interactive 😮
Awesome. After hearing some podcasts, i learned they stuck to physical copies for a while. Or at least Maynard said like in 2019 their whole catalogue came onto streaming platforms.
@SaeedReacts Maynard actually released it all live on Joe Rogan…they have friends a long time now
Disposition/Reflection/Triad, please! ❤️🌀🌀🌀
Yep, one after the other on Lateralus album! Absolutely meant to be played together, without pause between.
Definitely need to listen to them on my own again. Really loved the sound of this.
Exogenous compounds… well said Sir!
A few moments later… lol I’m loving it 🥰
This song hits you with an OBE
we are all eternal
all this pain is an illusion
A little interesting fact about how this song was made. The point he sings ALIVE! is the vertex of the parabola
Parabol is 3:05 + Parabola 6:04 = 9:09 (almost a perfect ratio)
If you think of this song as an arch the top is at 4:34 (or 1:29 into parabola) is the middle of that lyric. 8:55 in your video.
Oh wow. So much to this music. Its incredible.
Definitely hear a perfect circle
I have 2 reactions to a perfect circle, but will do more.
The holy gift
My favorite song(s) on the album! Great reaction as always, and I'm glad you like his Joe Rogan interviews!
So good. And i am on the last podcast they did in 2022. There will be a void to fill 😅
@SaeedReacts. I get it, I felt the same way! Rick Beato does interviews with Maynard and Danny Carey, both on TH-cam. There's still plenty more content!
Don’t imagine someone else imagine yourself in your own video
When you are doing Disposition, Reflection and Triad you should do them all in the same video and let them play into eachother, do you have spotify maybe?
That series of tracks, often referred to as the "Holy Trinity", is about 22 minutes in length. If that's too long for a reaction then I'd suggest just doing Reflection on its own. It's far and away the crown jewel of the three. It has kind of a similar vibe to Parabol/Parabola so no doubt he will love it as well.
Will see if it that is manageable. Thanks for letting me know about these.
Could not agree with you more @@PongGod
Yasssssss my favorite❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️
Tis a good day
The Tom cruise bit was funny as Fark
🤣
Secret to life ,pay your bills ,eat couple meals a day , take a good shit ,phase out negativity ,your good
That's it! Dont overcomplicate.
Bro you’re good at judging a book by its cover. You’re on it
Another great reaction, did you get a chance to check out Justin and Danny playing Ænemia at Berklee? If so what did you think about that 3:12 mark?
I have not yet. Thanks for letting me know about that one. Must check it out.
6:59
Tool never rarely does the same thing twice. Although the second part has a prelude, it’s rare that Tool comes in full force on the 1. So impressive. Good catch.
Just so good! Thanks for watching. Truly appreciate it!
Escape from LA is the only movie with a tool song in it sweat. There's also a Captain America trailer that uses 46 and 2.
Thanks for letting me know! I could definitely see their music in more movies.
@@SaeedReacts. I wish
Tool are an awesome band. I just subscribed to your channel mate cause you are awesome!! Just wondering if you can react to Yavid and his song ghetto love song?? It hits really really hard. Cheers mate. Much love from Australia...........
Thanks so much! Appreciate it. Will add your recommendation to my list. Have a good one! Greetings from Belgium!
He certainly is an interesting dude. I think he has a Type A personality? Yes. On parabola album songs 1&2 I’m pretty sure. The first part is almost like an out of body experience. Is Paiin just an illusion? This is one of my three favorite TOOL songs.
Definitely a busy guy. He's doing so much. I dont know how he does it.
I think he borrowed a line from Ren who actually borrowed it from Nas, but just flipped it! I never sleep because sleep is the cousin of death i never rest
We’re only here a short time so you have to enjoy it. I mean in the grand scheme of things being that major is so philosophical say 70 years out of what are we talking 1 billion years or 250 million years at least even say 5000 years 70 ain’t shit!. I don’t know any movies that their songs are in but if you find out, let me know, but they should be in a lot of movies, so I’m sure there’s a reason. Who is this drummer Cat he’s half decent. lol. While we’re talking about Ren, all Elon Musk has to do is sell them like their seashells from the seashore, make them rarer thin the diamond.
You even got the harmonics at the end..
This song is so good!
Is he ready for the triad?
The video of this song was meaningful for me. Mix to the song, the end of this art video reveal the third eyes. I suggest you to check at it, it's weird but beautiful 👌 Tx from Québec Canada 🇲🇶🇨🇦🖐️
Definitely want to see that one.
So yeah, hundreds of viewers thinking, don't stop... don't stop... But what if WE owe you an apology. If you weren't doing reactions it would just play. Anyway, now you know. hope you caught it right post reaction!.\
Loved early on... when calling out in Parabol, "Where did that energy come from?" Parabola was like, "Hold my beer." 😆
The "parable" reference is in the song too. A story/tale. More MJK wordplay. (Like "Pushit") The Parabol/Parabola part has something to do with math and symmetry. In my mind I'm playing with consciousness and what that means. Which side of consciousness is conscious.
Deeper still if you listen to the whole LP order. Loosely thinking... there's a Grudge, then The Patient/be patient, and a Schism. A lot of pain and hurt. The band itself nearly broke up in 2001, and these songs reflect that. But now during Parabol/a. "All this pain in an illusion" they start to heal and work it out.
The music itself in this track is not very complicated. (Mostly) straight 4/4 time, driving forward. It suggests they're back to moving together as a group. Then by the time Lateralus and the final tracks play they've learned to embrace their faults and imperfections instead of fighting them.
And it's three, not two for Rosetta Stoned:
Lipan Conjuring (Starting the journey)
Lost Keys/Blame Hoffman (The journey)
Rosetta Stoned (What was the journey?)
Thanks for sharing this! Had not made that connection about pain and the patient. Definitely need to get to more of these songs. Just so good.
Maynard's mother was a very strong believer in God and Jesus. At the end of her life, those around her who claimed to also believe abandoned her in her worst moments left in this realm of our reality. This angered Maynard causing him to write many songs blaming God for the actions of human sinners. Parabol/Parabola is a mix of a parable, a story Jesus would tell to teach those around Him and a symmetrical open plane curve formed by the intersection of a cone with a plane parallel to its side. The path of a projectile under the influence of gravity ideally follows a curve of this shape. The lyrics show that his mother taught him enough about God and Jesus that his stance was not so rigid. "We barely remember Who or what came before this precious moment We are choosing to be here right now Hold on, stay inside." "This holy reality." "This holy experience." "Choosing to be here in." Holy is a word not normal for Tool, but he takes it much deeper: "Be my reminder here that I am not alone." We are said to be made in God's image and our spirit/ soul separates us from all other creatures on earth. "Twirling round with this familiar parable
Spinning, weaving 'round each new experience." He is grasping that something much greater than us must be there giving us the gift to live. "Recognize this as a holy gift and
Celebrate this chance to be alive and breathing." Maynard loved his mother very much and these two songs were created to make her happy. None of Tool's vast catalog insights taking drugs which is up to the listener if they choose.
Wow! Beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
The weird thing is I always thought it could be and was completely existential... And then one day I realized it can be about having sex with someone and that body holding you and being inside it and how it reminds you that you're not alone
Now i need to re listen 😃. So many layers to the music of TOOL.
🤘🏻🌀
🤘
Tool/Maynard has that effect… you gotta research 🔬
I have now watched a few podcasts with Maynard. About to start Rick Beato and Danny.
Maaaaaan we think the same……😊
😀
17:48 yes sir
Wasnt sure! Thanks for confirming.
oof ya blew it lol
And the world still turns!
@@SaeedReacts. indeed
Don’t stop between the songs 😒
I get what you are saying, but also how would i know?
@@SaeedReacts. all good man, its difficult to know if nobody tell you before. For Tool fans it’s a crime to stop between Parabol/Parabola, Wings for Marie/ 10000 days , or Disposition, Reflection and Triad. Congrats for your reactions!
@@Leoelruski Will keep it in mind for those songs! Thanks!
