Due to Michael and Janet's phenomenal success, I feel like Jermaine has become the one forgotten but truly other talented Jackson. He had a string of hits in his own right that are true classics just like this one. I Love Jermaine's voice.
Somewhat true, but Jermaine Jackson still achieved a huge amount of success from his musical creativity. I think all of the Jackson brothers, and of course Janet made a committed fanbase for not only the collective group but even as solo careers. I dont think we will see a family like that ever again.
The fact that he played instruments while singing is enough to prove his abilities. Of course his baby bro MJ was in another category of exceptionalism
Those of us who grew up in the 80's are a truly blessed generation. It's an era that will never be replicated again and whenever someone from that era passes away is almost as if a part of us dies , an Innocence that no longer exists today.
Nothing too innocent about rampant drug use. It’s natural to be attached the era you had a coming of age. Everyone does, that’s proof that we wear rose tinted glasses when we revisit history.

Jermaine's only short coming was his last name, crazy as that sounds. Michael and later Janet made everyone else in the family seem second rate. But Jermaine was a FANTASTIC vocalist. Much more adult and mature sound than Michael's. But little brother cast a spectacular shadow. I loved this song though. And their duos, especially "Tell Me I'm Not Dreaming" were great because of the contrast in their vocals.
Due to Michael and Janet's phenomenal success, I feel like Jermaine has become the one forgotten but truly other talented Jackson. He had a string of hits in his own right that are true classics just like this one. I Love Jermaine's voice.

I used to go to Church and there was a song that they sang in the old Baptist Church that brought me to ❤️ heart-break every time.....
The power of Singing & Music is so beautiful, but sometimes sad.

As much as i love micheal i think jermaine was the best singer out of all his brother's and even though they messed michaels life up as a child and molded him too soon he did turn out well besides all the turmoil

...well said Damien.
I was 14 in 1984
I was 7 when this came out. Wondered why Video Soul and Midnight Love always played him instead of MJ. Lol. I see now
Yep I was 4 as well, and I still remember this video
Can’t say How much I love this song!❤❤❤I was in my 20th and listed to it over and over and over, its sad they don’t play this absolutely serenading songs. This will live forever and I am happy about that. Please don’t let this beautiful music die…ever

Essa música me faz lembrar meu pai, ele gostava muito dessa música! 😭❤️
🥰
Jermaine is very talented and uniquel i remember listening to this song when i was young in Kenya 🇰🇪
When he hits that 🗣🎙🎶 DIDDDD TOO MEEE ... That'll always be the highlight of the song for/to me
Lati Taylor I think that was Stevie Wonder who hit that note. 😀
Mine too sweetheart, mine too..
Nah, it was all the grease on his forehead and hair.
@@kingcam0775 lol... that's rude though
Him and Randy both.
@@kingcam0775 Inbred?
My favorite songs were the ones Michael and Jermaine sang lead together. I love the contrast in their vocals. Two amazing voices.
