- Hey guys, sorry again for the repeated upload delays, but I'm back! With my first profile from Duelist Alliance/Advent: Burning Abyss.
I'm a big fan of the Divine Comedy by Dante, and when I saw this deck being produced I simply had to produce a list on it, I'm happy to say it's pretty functional even at this early stage!

most underated deck from the set imo.
I think creature swap is really worth trying. You can summon one of your burning abyss monsters and swap it over to your opponent, and if they control another monster, your burning abyss monster will instantly die and you will get its effect. Seems pretty free.
Love that Secret Tour Guides are Finally relevant again. I Think they started to gather dust. Can't wait to pick up this deck. Nice Profile

This deck looks so fun! Chaos variants of anything are already fun, and with all the little combos and the rank-up magic.... time to play Yugioh.
I'm running a similar build of this. I would highly recommend Foolish Burial. Also, Skill Prison has also saved me before. Great deck, I'm really loving Burning Abyss.

Anyone remember when zenmaines was like 80 or 90 and secret first ed tourguides peeked at around 250

Still remember way back when duelist revolution came out, and people didnt know solemn warning yet. then ycs toronto weekend came and everyone played 3 in the main, spiking it to at least 80 for the ultra. it wast a 15-20$ card before that. absolutely ridiculous.

I'm just so glad that Konami has brought out a balanced, innovative archetype completely by themselves instead of sticking to the OCG. That's a big step Konami took here. I'm still depending on what to run, Burning Abyss or Monarchs...

I like running Kuribandit for a Scarm target, and it can dump some more cards into the grave. I also like running 3 Dante, but this is irl, so it could be harder to get it.
Is MST not a good card in this deck or is there simply no room? Same with dark eruption, it feels like a good searcher. Also great video, looking foward to more tweaks and progress with the deck! Keep it up

mechquipped angineer may be worth playing as its not only a great stall / protection card to make before you drop a chaos monster, it is a light and can be ranked up into tiras.. Just thought it could come in handy when playing around bottomless or just playing into multiple backrow...

I like this build I love the chaos rank up combination the deck has and the fact that we see tour guide have a new usage. This archetype is so fit for her its crazy. Did your try out tour bus yet?

If you special the scarm by its own effect and tribute for caius, you don't get the search. Each B.A. .monster only gets one of its effects per turn; its like dragon rulers
Why don't you try Bandit again except with 2 soul charge and 2 dualities in the main? It's been working really well for me.

Main deck is perfect. For the extra drop m7 and temtempo for Angineer and Tiras for Astral force plays.

Can you do a deck profile on fire kings. I can't really find a good competitive build on youtube.

plus astral force look sexy as hell, which is the most important part
now i see why dante is a beast, just kinda got back into the game, and looking up prices of cards and was like fucking why is this card like a 150$ lotto ticket, so...these are things i now know
I see lots of merit with M7, but I'd def consider Gaia as well...That+volca steals quite a bit of games....especially the turns where you're able to make double xyz plays and put a alucard in front of it to clear backrow. I've also had success with Kuribandit as it has fixed the rare times where I got a bad hand. It also digs for outs to winda which is important.

This has given me some good insight to my deck. Have you tried out Downerd Magician in the deck?
A large fan of Burning Abyss and I must say your build is interesting. I like the Dichotomy option, I hadn't thought of it previously. However, my one question is, why so many bosses? I would think the Caius, DAD, and BLS were enough, why the Chaos Sorcs?
What do you think of Dark Eruption in the deck? Also what about Chronomaly Crystal Chrononaut ranking up into Number C69: Heraldry Crest of Horrors, which can beat over Apoqliphoth Killer?
I don't account for Apoqliphoth Killer as it's not been released in the TCG yet...
Supply squad does NOT stop you from gaining their effects, if speeds the deck up tremendously. You have to run it.
tristan williams It stops you from utilizing their special summon effects... So yeah it stops the part of the effect I was referring to.
JamieTheKid00 Honestly, you don't generally use the ss effects considering that it prevents you from using their other effects since it's only once per turn.
No Sephylon? It gives the deck crazy otk potential and this deck can set up 10 monsters in the grave extremely fast. It's also chaos fodder if you mill it.
My only problem with Caius in testing was you only really want to tribute scram because anything the others bring out is going to die. Also you can't special them and search in the same turn which kinda hurts.
Any thoughts about running the Angineer > Tiras/Durendal or Chronomaly Crystal Chrononaut > Number C69 plays?
Also, have you tested The Beginning of the End (which is often live as early as turn 3) or Tour Bus to recycle Tour Guides for Scarm's effect?

Needs leviar and Gaia and personally I would play a mini light sworn or artifact engine in this deck

Anything you banish or anything your opponent banishes that is level 4 or lower.
JamieTheKid00 DAD, Chaos Sorcerer, BLS, yeah you should play Leviair.
All he's saying is that those monsters banish Leviair targets.

malik sandiford Kuribandit slows the deck down a turn imo, two turns if you're searching it off Scarm. Nothing about it benefits you, all it does is burn through your BA monsters ridiculously fast, producing a small end phase field that your opponent can very easily take apart.Artifacts don't do much for the deck, I understand the power of the engine but I honestly didn't feel they complimented it well.Mathematician was tested alot, I liked it but it only served as an end phase rota with Scarm.The trap is very win-more and I found myself not needing it.

Jamie, what's your favorite archetype coming out of Duelist Advent?
Leo is an issue for this deck unless you can stop its summon, your only outs are dark hole and torrential.

SO, maybe it's just me and I can't count or something (never was good at anything number related), but when looking at the deck list below in the description I only count 38 cards? I've counted like six times now too.

Hey Jamie, I was wondering if it was at all possible for you to do another Mecha Phantom Beast deck profile. They're currently my main and they seem to do well against most of the "meta" match-ups that I've run across, and I want to know your take on them as well, seeing as you're the most prevalent Yugituber that I'm aware of.
This is completely different to my build, but its given me a lot of good ideas to think about...caius seems like a no brainer :3

yeah you wont if you special it, but you generally always have one on field form wing blast, foolish, dante etc...

if you special summon a burning abyss monster from your hand with his own effect and tribute the card for caius, how does the burning abyss monster get his second effect?

I know you said you will eventually get to Yang Zing, but please build one and make it a deck profile on here. I got a good number or cards going, but can't figure out how to place the cards in my deck. People have brought up the new Archfiend Eater, Mathematician, and a few others. I'm just confused as to what I can do. Usually I can get inspiration off of watching your deck profiles. So please do it when you can thanks
The caius combo would not work. You can only use one effect of the burning abyss once per turn, so if you special a malabranche, you would not get the effect to add/summon/whatever when you tribute.
JamieTheKid00 also have an abyss deck on, DN though. Most of my opponents quit. Sometimes at first sight. Like what is up, any new strong archetype and people go ape-shit. Like I get they are pretty strong and you could xyz easily but what about friggin shadolls, neo's/elemental fusion and they have the most support cards I could think of of any archetype, and they have tons of fusion cards that let you fs anywhich way even if it's the only card in your hand. Also lightsworn, they are so strong just a matter of time before TKO. But that's fine I dont quit just cuz my opponent has one of those decks. Anyway that's DN wanna get some real cards as soon as i got some extra cash. good video!

jeff hicks It was honestly unecessary and got in the way of their special summon effects.
so im sure its been said but i am sure you havent read your malbrances properly as they can only use ONE of their effects per turn; either special or graveyard eff
Burning abyss is the only deck I love besides Fire Kings :D
I feel that there is too much stuff to negate on my turn, so I prefer chalice or breakthrough over veiler.
I have one problem I sometimes find myself running out of monsters when I play any solution to this people?
If u special summon a burning abyss u can't activate the effect in grave for the same monster

Have you considered playing back to square one? It is my personal favorite card in the deck.

Can someone explain to me how Pot Of Dichotemy is live after one xyz?
Why would you leave out mechquipped. He gives you access to tiras a ridiculously good xyz monster and c102 seraph guy. (Don't know his name). He avoids destruction and deals 1500 damage when he runs put of overlay units which a lot of damage

Sounds really lame still compared to what Japan calls it. Just like normal 102 really. My poor Unholy Lightning Noble Demon . . .
dylan persad Tiras is irrelevant in this meta game, with prison, chain and varying forms of non destruction removal in the meta I found Tiras was almost useless in all honesty, even it's destruction effect can force you into situations with set artifacts. It just didn't contribue to the deck's push hard strategy. C102 is a similar mentality because while the burn is cute, it's essentially Tiras with less protection and no destruction ability. I hope this answers your concerns. If I played Mechquipped it would be alone.
JamieTheKid00 it does help but I still really like c102 because it can avoid destruction making the fire hand useless.

Hey Jamie, what kind of sleeves do you use for the main deck?
ultra pro players choice dragon shield
supply squad is a must for this deck and I wouldn't play the pots soul charge or dark eruption would be a better choice. Leviair also works when banishing for chaos and using your opponents monster.
So you decided not to tech in the Burning Abyss trap card? It's understandable due to the monster restriction, but I'd personally tech-in 1 xD

With respect to 3 Rank-Up Magic Astral Force, are you able to activate the card after you Special Summoned a monster. The wording on the text is a little bit confusing. "You cannot Special Summon during the turn you activate this effect... "
