The thing I like the most about it is the fact that the battle pass points can't be bought you have to earn the medals through game play. Some of those armors in the super store are p2w but they aren't crazy and it's PVE not PVP
The moment I saw you can get premium currency IN MISSIONS, and that buying it is like $5 for a whole armor set, I decided to buy the Deluxe version instead of normal. Any game not asking for my money deserves it.
The best part about this game is everything can be grinded out and not locked behind a pay wall, really shows how live services should be designed. Edit: I'm back after 4 days and got enough to buy both the Warbond and 2 sets of armor. Just make sure you get those minor side objectives.

As one among a group of friends who avidly played Helldivers 1, this game still doesn't feel real. Hopefully they iron out the matchmaking issues, because more people need to experience this.

If you play this on pc, it may feel better to put the qte on the arrow keys instead of wasd. And don't pre reload your weapons, wastes ammo. For bots, a decent combo is the railgun, shield backpack, ems Artillery. Fourth, whatever. (Not gatekeeping) Use what you want, just helpful tips for fellow helldivers! Also! I'm not sure if it works on console, but on pc when you're doing the artillery gun side objective, if. You spam E(default). When grabbing the shells, you can walk a bit faster! Hope all this helps! my favorite thing about the tutorial is the giant marble on either side is a binding contract that is signed the moment you don the cape peek helldivers right there
i love the resourse management in this game it activates my brain so much. The way guns dont automatically reload yet you have a very limited supply of ammo makes me very concious of how i use my reloads and thats on top of the strategem system.
I really hope they add more creature variants like how certain planets are being invaded by different aliens and enemies with different reactive environments and biomes, this game can really benefit from

I thought I'd have a problem with the free/paid battle pass but honestly this is the best way a battle pass can exist in a game. Get currency for it by exploring and playing the game or unlocking some in the free pass, which you get unlock credits for by playing the game. I'd still prefer no battle pass in games but this has been the best way so far.

Small Indie Devs show everyone why it's okay to have microtransactions in your game. It's all about how they are implemented, and how badly you've designed your game to push players towards microtransactions. As far as I can tell, spending money is totally optional. It's not monotonous to just grind to buy the warbond and armors that you want without spending a cent. For those who want to support the devs, it doesn't feel bad to spend some money. If your game is good, and not missing critical elements that are locked behind a paywall - players will support you. I would 100% support microtransactions in Armored Core 6 for example - if they were to sell some cosmetic designs, colors, decals, and skins for example. The game is amazing, and I don't feel bad spending money on it. TL:DR - If your game is great and you deserve players money, then some forms of microtransactions are great. We will gladly support you and your game. If your game is garbage, obviously a cash grab (Skull and Bones), you charge a full hefty price tag ($70), and you make it as aggressively monetized as possible so that it feels bad to play if you don't spend money - then players are going to roast you over an open flame.

This game looks so insanely good. The aiming and movement system, the 2 person operated weapons, this truly feels like a true evolution of the genre.
I love the fact you can run the autocannon and such solo but having the reload assist makes it so much more flexible as a weapon.

Takes a lot of focus and good reflex, and sometimes a bit of luck to survive. This was a fun watch, wish I coulda been able to play with!
