It will be interesting to see how this pans out. I think the LG unit will flush the heat exchanger fins with water to clean them out as well. What you are probably seeing is lint that did not get washed out. This is not a problem if the flushing keeps the lint within tolerance.
Thank you for uploading these. I appreciate you.
I’ve just got to wonder about what you can’t see… I think I’m going to go with a front load, LG washer, dryer, set and pay more for electricity and then it out the roof…
Check gasket on the front of the lint filter. Mine was kinked and lg sent a new one
Mine is kinked as well. Warranty claim filed, just the lint basket is on back order.
I just bought mine on May 25th and the gasket was kinked on mine as well. This is a documented problem at LG and they will just send another one out. Mine was leaking at both upper corners. I was cleaning once a week. Thanks for pointing it out!
Do you notice the clothes being dryer coming out of the LG over the GE overall?
Lg for me is always 100% dry. Never had anything damp from cloths to bedding. Really impressed.
Looks moldy, or mold-prone.
This is the way anyone who owns this machine. Also, may as well just leave that plastic piece removed for easy access....
Why not put a filter in front of the coils, this would help in keeping coils free of lint.
I did have that thought. However I found the gasket from the front of the lint trap is bend and out of shape. Lg is sending a replacement. If that stops the lint, great. Otherwise I think it would be pretty easy to add another filter to the plastic cage.
@@Ultravorx I just received my unit yesterday and noticed the same when I pulled out the lint trap. I will contact them to get one without a folded over seal. So far this machine is amazing.
@@ns7w386that’s interesting. Must be a factory defect. I’ll be interested to see how a new one performs with lint bypass.
@@UltravorxAny updates since you received the new gasket?
Any Updates on gasket? Also which part of the gasket had the issue?

Seems people want easier way to wash and dry clothes...But I mean taking wash out of washer into dryer is not that much work😂😂😂..What you are doing to maintain by using brushes and so on to clean lint is more time..Will stick to my set because it doesnt bother me to do laundry...
Yeah, you have to do this every 10 loads or so and it takes 30 seconds... but you get other benefits with this machine. Energy consumption is right about the lowest tier for this much capacity at one time. It's gentler on clothes. No smell or rewashes due to forgotten laundry is also nice. This machine and the GE like it are only the beginning. Can't wait to see a couple of the small issues resolved in future generations to make these a no-brainer for everyone.
I bought this because I do not have an out vent for a conventional dryer, just the water hookups and drain pipe. It's ideal for my situation. So far this machine has been great. No issues with excessive lint buildup. Clothes dry well especially when doing smaller loads (13 pounds). Larger loads will take longer.
