Here’s a short story. One day I was going to feed my snake some live rats because just like this snake it doesn’t like frozen food. ( Back to the story) Anyways so after I put the rat in his cage. I came back after like an 1 hour or 2. And it was still there. It was just sitting next to my snake. So I just decided to keep the rat and my snake never ate him.

@@justaletdown i did..even worked at a few. to pay for my education.. also if you think we kill these animals in worse ways then predators do then i would say watch any goddamn documentary and watch animals slowly tear others to small bits while they stil live. rather die instantly getting killed by a pin in the noggin then wailing in agony for 15 minutes while they start with your calves and finish it off by ripping your stomach. i also wonder how stresfull it was for the animal when hunted down and slowly worn out and injured before succumbing compared to being in a truck. i personally think animals should be slaughtered at the farm with a slaughter truck. no need to give them any stress in this regard. and this already happens in more and more farms and some nations even encouraging this. and we as much as you probably hate it ARE omnivores. hell even before we were homo sapiens our ancestors were both hunters and gatherers. and who decided what we do is so opposite to what is natural anyway? again a proper question. i like to know the mindset behind your argument. so far it only seems to be based on feels. but id be dishonest and lazy if i do not ask questions to elaborate. all up to you to take it serious or not.

It never fails. I can be angry and depressed and hopeless.... but by watching an animal-rescuing-animal or unlikely-animal-friendship video, I invariably leave all that crap behind in 20 seconds.

Animals kill to survive, we humans kill for money, land, power and kill animals for their fur, bones and meat. All the while helping to kill this planet.

Notice that this animals in video live among the people or close to them, so maybe they taken example from us? This is also part of process called domestication. It starts with raising "friendly" wild animals in human habitat in hope that next generation will inherit this attribute and benefit us. I don't think that wolf and sheep would make friends in the wild.

One need only spend time in a yard with trees to learn the details of avian/squirrel society. Animals are hyper-aware of each other and work together in remarkable ways to deal with predators, find food, etc. They quickly realized that I protected them from a feral cat that I ended up rescuing and placing with loving humans. One summer under the canopy taught me volumes.

One of my cats has befriended the most amazing hedgehog. They sit and eat together at night, and while the warm weather has been going on here in Ireland, the hedgehog has even brought its family to my back door, where I leave bowls of cat food and other treats for them. My cat stands guard over them, as my other cats don't share their love for "Mr Tiggywinkle" (As I've come to call him) or his family. Seeing them together makes me realise just how much magic and wonder there is to see in this world if you only open yourself up to it :-)

Yes, they do. My rat, Starsky, loved my caregiver, and would greet her every night. He tried to get her into his cage, and would kiss her on her lips. He knew her voice as soon as ahe entered the house. Unfortunately, he developed a huge abdominal tumor and was in pain. She took him to the vet, who said the kindest, most loving thing was to end his suffering. Jessica, my caregiver, tho crying, told him he was going to be fine in a minute, well and happy, and back with his brother,Hutch, who we had lost a year before. As he was given the medicine to put him down, she held him, sang to him, told him how he was " the bestest rat boy ever" (she told him that every night for the year she has taken care of me, that mama(me) couldn't be there, but that I loved him, and she did too. He left this world Feb. 19, 2021 in the arms and listening to the voice of someone who loved him dearly, as do I. He is buried next to a huge pecan tree. Love and miss you, Sweet Starsky.

Did you know that many famous race horses have a goat as a friend and they walk among all the horses, and he is undated. They are said to sit with sick and frightened horses. I don't like horse racing, but this makes it a bit more tolerable.

Human beings need to take on responsibility themselves and learn about love which lies in the heart of every human being it is not outside. Learning about our -self is where it begins by taking the journey look within meditations can help us we can discover something very precious this is not dependent on anything outside of our-self. We can discover our true nature which is full of pure love and compassion the same loving energy that these animals show towards each other. If human beings took this inward journey we would live in harmony with each other and all the animals on the planet.

I have a 15 year old Chihuahua that saved a kitten and took care of it and that's her baby animals don't care what each other look like they got feelings people we are so full of hate is so sad animals of Wonderful and that's why I surround my life with them

IT WAS HIM. AND A FEW TIMES I WOKE UP BECAUSE I COULDN'T BREATHE. HE WAS SLEEPING ON MY FACE! NEVER AGAIN AFTER THE FEW TIMES. NOW HE SLEEPS IN HIS ROOM AND WON'T SLEEP IN MY HOSPITAL BED WITH ME. Original Sin is a result of fear in the subconcious. We are not born with it but it is created by our early experiences in life as our brain develops. The subconcious fear coupled with unquestioned genetic memory (instinctive) and environmental experience results in our personalities and cooperative and/or disruptive behaviours.
Of course they have emotions. It's just that the word itself is usually only applied to humans, and when it's another type of animal, we call them "instincts". But, they're the exact same thing and other animals aren't any different from us in that regard. Plenty of species have affectionate attachment, a.k.a. "love", it's an instinct that has been around much longer than humans have been on the planet. For example, some species of birds mate for life, and they have little brains the size of half a peanut. It's just that money, physical appearance, and image-based social pecking order make it seem much more complex for humans, when in reality it's exactly the same thing. You find a human you like the look of, you fuck, and if you like having them around, maybe you'll get attached to them. No different for any of those 'other' stupid animals. The only major difference is that humans often think they have an affectionate attachment to another simply because they're fucking, and will go out of their way to mimic the effects and behaviors of that type of attachment, whereas no other species is quite that stupid :)
I accept everybody as long as they don't wanna stab me, run me over or blow me up.. 🙄 About animals; I've loved living with animals all my life, and I'm vegan. At one point I had 2 kids, a dog, a cat, a bat, 4 rabbits, 4 guinea pigs, 21 rats, 6 parrots and 17 other trophical birds - all friends and shared everything in our home. Best years in my life. Now I'm old, live with my 5 cats and 11 ferrets - all of them better than any human I know..
You will come back as one of them for sure. Caring for animals is ok but stating that they are better than humans is not correct. Watch out what you wish for, you might not like what is coming if that is your feeling. Peace be with you.
My niece got her first pet rat from her friend who owned a python. The rat was supposed to be the snake's dinner. And how that goes is the rats are afraid of snakes and go on the offensive and bite the snake. The snake then reacts and kills and eats the rats. But this cute little "feeder rat" instead ran over and cuddled with the snake. When my niece visited a few days later, she held the rat, which immediately cuddled with her. So the rat came home with her and lived a nice long life (5 years).
Why prove it, we all know what's happening. Hunger it's the reason animals kill. There's no need to kill without it. The snake has been fed all its life. So it has no need to hunt it knows it'll get food periodically. The snake clearly became lonely as would anything that was stuck in a glass box with no other company for it's whole life. The zoo keepers mistook the decreased appetite for boredom so decided to give it excitement and let the snake hunt for it's food. And stuck in a live animal End result The snake got company and went back to eating frozen mice. The hamster is safe because The snake doesn't want to be alone again so the hamster has free reign. Isolation is a form of torture it's why we do it to punish the worst criminals/prisoners who won't behave themselves and even they only get isolated for short periods because it tends to causes insanity and despair the longer the Isolation last. Animals and human aren't that different. The main difference is intellect and more developed emotions. But Animals do have emotions too they can get Happy, sad, scared, bored, lonely etc..
It didn't of course. I had a buddy with a snake he would let rats live in his case sometime 4 months sometimes he would never eat them because for whatever reason he just didn't want to. Of course being a reptile there was no logical reasoning of him deciding that he wanted to make the rat his pet.
This clips just shows you how LOVE can change lifes and situations. Loving yourself is good but showing and loving other people is priceless, is treasurable and joyful. Let love others and show them some kindness.

Snakes CANT have emotions. They are not caring animals. They are not developped. They appear to be affectionate beings, but in truth, they only seek warmth from your body if they cuddle you. As for this one here.. snake was simply not hungry.
A little act of kindness goes a long way and that's a true statement if everybody did a little act of kindness everyday they would notice the difference.

It starts with raising "friendly" wild animals in human habitat in hope that next generation will inherit this attribute and benefit us. One need only spend time in a yard with trees to learn the details of avian/squirrel society. Animals are hyper-aware of each other and work together in remarkable ways to deal with predators, find food, etc. They quickly realized that I protected them from a feral cat that I ended up rescuing and placing with loving humans. One summer under the canopy taught me volumes.

One of my cats has befriended the most amazing hedgehog. They sit and eat together at night, and while the warm weather has been going on here in Ireland, the hedgehog has even brought its family to my back door, where I leave bowls of cat food and other treats for them. My cat stands guard over them, as my other cats don't share their love for "Mr Tiggywinkle" (As I've come to call him) or his family. Seeing them together makes me realise just how much magic and wonder there is to see in this world if you only open yourself up to it :-)

Yes, they do. My rat, Starsky, loved my caregiver, and would greet her every night. He tried to get her into his cage, and would kiss her on her lips. He knew her voice as soon as ahe entered the house.
Unfortunately, he developed a huge abdominal tumor and was in pain. She took him to the vet, who said the kindest, most loving thing was to end his suffering. Jessica, my caregiver, tho crying, told him he was going to be fine in a minute, well and happy, and back with his brother,Hutch, who we had lost a year before. As he was given the medicine to put him down, she held him, sang to him, told him how he was " the bestest rat boy ever" (she told him that every night for the year she has taken care of me, that mama(me) couldn't be there, but that I loved him, and she did too. He left this world Feb. 19, 2021 in the arms and listening to the voice of someone who loved him dearly, as do I. He is buried next to a huge pecan tree. Love and miss you, Sweet Starsky.
Love, Respect, Loyalty, Understandings, Trust, Caring etc etc are what animal like human beings need to learn from those animals in the video.

Did you know that many famous race horses have a goat as a friend and they walk among all the horses, and he is undated. They are said to sit with sick and frightened horses. I don't like horse racing, but this makes it a bit more tolerable.

Of course they have emotions. It's just that the word itself is usually only applied to humans, and when it's another type of animal, we call them "instincts". But, they're the exact same thing and other animals aren't any different from us in that regard.
Plenty of species have affectionate attachment, a.k.a. "love", it's an instinct that has been around much longer than humans have been on the planet. For example, some species of birds mate for life, and they have little brains the size of half a peanut. It's just that money, physical appearance, and image-based social pecking order make it seem much more complex for humans, when in reality it's exactly the same thing. You find a human you like the look of, you fuck, and if you like having them around, maybe you'll get attached to them. No different for any of those 'other' stupid animals. The only major difference is that humans often think they have an affectionate attachment to another simply because they're fucking, and will go out of their way to mimic the effects and behaviors of that type of attachment, whereas no other species is quite that stupid :)

About animals; I've loved living with animals all my life, and I'm vegan.
At one point I had 2 kids, a dog, a cat, a bat, 4 rabbits, 4 guinea pigs, 21 rats, 6 parrots and 17 other trophical birds - all friends and shared everything in our home. Best years in my life. Now I'm old, live with my 5 cats and 11 ferrets - all of them better than any human I know..

and the Hamster lasted more than a dinner date.......
My niece got her first pet rat from her friend who owned a python. The rat was supposed to be the snake's dinner. And how that goes is the rats are afraid of snakes and go on the offensive and bite the snake. The snake then reacts and kills and eats the rats. But this cute little "feeder rat" instead ran over and cuddled with the snake. When my niece visited a few days later, she held the rat, which immediately cuddled with her. So the rat came home with her and lived a nice long life (5 years).

Why prove it, we all know what's happening. Hunger it's the reason animals kill. There's no need to kill without it. The snake has been fed all its life. So it has no need to hunt it knows it'll get food periodically. The snake clearly became lonely as would anything that was stuck in a glass box with no other company for it's whole life. The zoo keepers mistook the decreased appetite for boredom so decided to give it excitement and let the snake hunt for it's food. And stuck in a live animal End result The snake got company and went back to eating frozen mice. The hamster is safe because The snake doesn't want to be alone again so the hamster has free reign. Isolation is a form of torture it's why we do it to punish the worst criminals/prisoners who won't behave themselves and even they only get isolated for short periods because it tends to causes insanity and despair the longer the Isolation last. Animals and human aren't that different. The main difference is intellect and more developed emotions. But Animals do have emotions too they can get Happy, sad, scared, bored, lonely etc..

It didn't of course. I had a buddy with a snake he would let rats live in his case sometime 4 months sometimes he would never eat them because for whatever reason he just didn't want to. Of course being a reptile there was no logical reasoning of him deciding that he wanted to make the rat his pet.
Notice that most of these amazing stories has a dog in them. Dogs surely are not just man's bestfriend. They are everybody's bestfriend.
