If no one knows where he goes when he leaves, how do they know he swam 5000 miles? The penguin could have pulled the 'save me' scam on another family a few miles away and just goes back and forth between them every few months getting free food, living the easy life. 😁
I hope if the penguin has to die first, it comes back and dies with the man. It would be too sad if he just waited for the penguin not knowing if it died or something else happened. At least if the man dies first his family will be there and later the penguin will understand he is gone.

Going so far is actually really dangerous for penguins because leopard seals can move extremely fast in the water. Despite that, he comes to see Joao every single year without fail. That is truly amazing
Orcas, which live in every ocean, might be a greater danger. Large sharks, as well. The seal would encounter the range of leopard seals only when rounding the southern tip of South America.

Jinjing is a very sweet, adorable and friendly penguin who comes to visit the friend who saved his life. A very remarkable and precious penguin who is grateful to the man taking care of him at a time when he needed help. It doesn’t surprise me at all that Jinjing travels 5,000 miles to be with his dear friend. Animals are like that, very grateful and never forget those who treat them in time of need. A very special bond Jinjing and this man shares and it is an unbreakable friendship forever. Great story, very heartwarming and sweet. Love it and love this man and Jinjing. i have saved an owlet once and set him free when he was grown up.... he still comes to visit me... he keeps staring at me and does owl stuff..... i name him horus. this beautiful penguin story reminds me of my horus.
I have an owl that lives in my yard. He was here first, to be fair. Plenty of mice and snakes and stuff for him to hunt here, bc its in the middle of the woods. My fiancee and I saved another (or the same, who knows? It was only a mile away, and probably less than 1/2 mile on wings) Barred owl, that had already flown into a moving vehicle maybe?? He was in the middle of our side of the road, at the bottom of a hill w/a blind spot. Idk how my fiancee steered arnd him, or even saw him in time, except that he is an awesome driver. The owl just sat there, obviously dazed, but not bleeding or broken looking. I took off my sweatshirt and put it over him and my fiancee put him off the side of the road. He flew off to a low branch of a tree before we left, so I'm guessing he was ok. ☺ maybe it is the same one? U never know. He lives in our woods outback, and he comes and lands on the roof at night. He was actually either fighting or mating w/another owl just 2 nights ago. They make some crazy noises! Lol

The problem is that I don't think of anything specific, not knowing how intelligent they are (nobody knows it precisely, by the way). Considering, moreover, that their intelligence depends on the species to which they belong, and on the differences between individuals within species, for that matter.
Unfortunately animals do not. Only people do. Which sucks because animals are great. Believing animals have no souls is not a reflection on the person's character. It just means they know the order of creation. Animals were not created in the image of God like humans.
Actually they do. You can't look into an animal's eyes and not see the same thing looking back at you when you look into the eyes of a human. Besides, I don't believe in God. I believe in gods. And it doesn't reflect a person's character. I also believe you have to have a soul to feel things emotionally.

@@ayaa.1351 I raised a pack of wolves. My wild female was shot by a hunter. Her mate my Alpha was so depressed he has never played since. He just sits with me and watches the other play. This was 6 years ago. It was so sweet watching their love. Now its so sad watching him. All the wolves mourned for 3 weeks. None of them would go for the daily hikes they wouldnt play. Then one day the youngest took off and they all joined in except Apache. Every morning he would walk over to her grave. I have a picture of him standing over her grave with an orb by his head. They loved each other so much. They were all sweet and friendly. The hunter had no reason to shoot her. She was scared of people. So yes wolves mate for life even after death.
Thing which impressed me the most is that how he manages to cross this ocean with dangerous predators in it to get to this old every year. He really risks his life for this old man.

It doesn’t surprise me at all that Jinjing travels 5,000 miles to be with his dear friend. Animals are like that, very grateful and never forget those who treat them in time of need. I have an owl that lives in my yard. He was here first, to be fair. Plenty of mice and snakes and stuff for him to hunt here, bc its in the middle of the woods. My fiancee and I saved another (or the same, who knows? It was only a mile away, and probably less than 1/2 mile on wings) Barred owl, that had already flown into a moving vehicle maybe?? He was in the middle of our side of the road, at the bottom of a hill w/a blind spot. Idk how my fiancee steered arnd him, or even saw him in time, except that he is an awesome driver. The owl just sat there, obviously dazed, but not bleeding or broken looking. I took off my sweatshirt and put it over him and my fiancee put him off the side of the road. He flew off to a low branch of a tree before we left, so I'm guessing he was ok. ☺ maybe it is the same one? U never know. He lives in our woods outback, and he comes and lands on the roof at night. He was actually either fighting or mating w/another owl just 2 nights ago. They make some crazy noises! Lol

Unfortunately animals do not. Only people do. Which sucks because animals are great. Believing animals have no souls is not a reflection on the person's character. It just means they know the order of creation. Animals were not created in the image of God like humans.
Actually they do. You can't look into an animal's eyes and not see the same thing looking back at you when you look into the eyes of a human. Besides, I don't believe in God. I believe in gods. And it doesn't reflect a person's character. I also believe you have to have a soul to feel things emotionally.

This was 6 years ago. It was so sweet watching their love. Now its so sad watching him. All the wolves mourned for 3 weeks. None of them would go for the daily hikes they wouldnt play. Then one day the youngest took off and they all joined in except Apache. Every morning he would walk over to her grave. I have a picture of him standing over her grave with an orb by his head. They loved each other so much. They were all sweet and friendly. The hunter had no reason to shoot her. She was scared of people. So yes wolves mate for life even after death.
