Any tips on where I can find a rebuilt front differential? (I know I can buy used ones on Ebay for 400-600 bucks but they are junker vehicle pulls that will have all the same problems) Can't afford 5k for a new one. But before I attempt it, I need to replace the entire front end (control arms, wheel bearings, struts, axles) and see if this nasty noise I have is the diff or the bearings. Noises got worse after replacing my cardan shaft last week. Maybe I was sold a bad shaft? Car is falling apart and a single dealership visit costs more than the car is worth.....I'm torn between trying to fix myself, or just get rid of it. I have a 2004 Cayenne S with 134,000 miles on it. It's been pretty good up until now.

You may be able to use an Audi Q7 front differential, provided you do some research and compare part numbers to find one of the same axle ratio. I have a 2006 Touareg V8 and am using a front diff from a 2010 Q7 V8, part number ending in "JWU".

Guys, this has to be a joke. This is the laziest and most USELESS instructional video I have ever seen. Because of your failure, I will create a TH-cam channel and REPLACE MY OWN differential this weekend, PROPERLY DOCUMENTING the process as I go. This can no longer remain the top video for this job.

That video is almost entirely useless. It's like showing two pictures before and after. A fotodocumentation with each bolt you removed, every part you disconnected would have been more useful.
