I don't think its a valid theory even in the Dead Space universe if only because the Tau Volaantians were desperately trying to find a counter to the Marker Signal (which they discovered) and ended up dropping a forming Brethren Moon on themselves to instantly end their entire species rather than become Necromorphs. Also "Human Will" is just a combination of biological drive and conscious rationalization. Your body and subconscious mind drive you to survive, your conscious mind can't do much about that, so it rationalizes this in a way that makes it somewhat more appealing to continue no matter the conditions. So any sapient alien species that is conscious and not just, say, acting purely on some lower level preprogrammed response (and even then, you could argue that if the number of nodes were sufficient, and the overall mechanism complex enough, it would still be able to emulate consciousness), will have "will" in its eyes.

I missed your Dead Space videos so much! Obviously I still love the new content, but this was the bread and butter of the channel when I started watching, and it’s good to be back!
Here's one to think about. What if it turned out that the Unitologists were (sort of) correct and that those absorbed into a Brethren Moon have their consciousness preserved and "live" in a Matrix style world inside the Moon's mind? Deadspace 4 could have had Issac and co trying to literally fight the moons from the inside.
Interesting theory. But the Necromorphs are already dead... hence their name. The Markers can't mutate living flesh (if I'm not mistaken). So therefore a person's consciousness would no longer exist once they've become a Necromorph and by extension a Brethren Moon.
Its entirely possible, uni slashers are far less mutilated than normal and as seen with the wall guardians the marker does take resistance personally. Its probably just propaganda though to get people to give up, i doubt the moons care about any of us or what we think
@northerntarantulas Yes but what is death? Is there an afterlife or is there simply nothing? Because if you cease to exist as evolution promotes... than your consciousness does with you.
Ahhh yes, that spine tingling howl.. the first time I encountered this still lives fresh, rent free in my mind. Wish they utilized The Divider more. One of the most eerie Necromorphs.

@RoanokeGaming shift just ended man. And dear God it was SO much eaiser starting it out with my favorite biologists bro there to kick it off!!! Thanks again bro 😎
correction though, no all the parts are from the same person. even in the model you can see the big toe for one of the feet is on the wrong side indicating it is likely sporting two left feet. this shouldnt be surprising since all matter is necrofied whether its a full corpse, some limbs, spilt blood, all of it. when they are, they are reconfigured to either be "creep" on the walls, floor and ceiling. or they pull a voltron and start waddling towards you at a slow pace to give you a big ol slap. and if you knock it apart? well, they had the ability to come together so its their last stand that they find their mobility as a chance to take down the resisting party. this is also more confirmed with isaacs kill cam when it replaces his head and starts to move in a odd form of puppeteering
Always loved these annoying lads, it's a shame they don't appear as much even tho they are quite the pain if you're not prepared. Glad to finally see a remade video on them !! Cheers from Brazil :>

The first Dead Space is still my favorite horror game since Silent Hill. I’ll never get tired of Roanoke doing videos on it. I really need to play the remake or remaster or whatever it’s really called because it looks awesome and I’m told there are several differences between it and the original
Dude I've been binging your videos everyday for about a month or so and I cant get the phrases "activated his almonds" and "swelling in the meningies" out of my head haha. Love your channel and the the way your videos are set up!
These things have always been my favorite enemy. Every playthrough I do, I have to let the head take me out because of the unique end you meet. It's not often that you get to see Isaac "Change teams" so it makes me quite sad that the remake actually has less dividers than the original.
Roanoke's headcanon for Dead Space 4 would be even cooler if it turns out Isaac "facing his destiny" as the devs said include doing what orriginally started the series to begin with Isaac repairs the Ishimura (that somehow still stands) for the purpose of cracking apart the Bretheren Moons
Hey, new subscriber. Just wanted to say I love your videos. Really love the whole science break down. You get to learn some cool stuff while watching a video about a movie you like. The “Nope” video you did brought me here.
Mister Roanoke (or would it be Mister Gaming...) would you be interested in covering the cosmicly iradiated tardigrades from Harbinger Down? It's a fun little throwback movie, inspired by the Thing, uses mostly practical effects. I think you'd enjoy it! Love the content sir!
It has been proven that pieces of the divider do act individually as you encounter pieces behind containers sometimes so one could say that the head is the hunter that gets the body mutilated by the slasher to create another divider so as it hunts, there are separate pieces all over making distractions for the slasher and other variants to capitalize. When there's a whole divider that could mean it was the most recent victim.
Heck yeah man! I've been waiting for this one. Good work with the dead space work. You could totally do a good video on the flood from halo. I think you'd like them considering your affinity for the necromorphs.
It still amazes me how this franchise has not been made into a movie? Rumor is that horror legend, John Carpenter wanted to make a movie, but he was denied.
I think it's implied that the Tau Volaantians were more advanced than human's and were in a similar position, i.e. they had various colonies and were running out of resources. Also we see two forms even with the basic TV Necromorphs, being the infant swarm and the adult TVs. They also apparently had many It's also worth noting that the TV physiology seems better as an aggressive vector than human's with less extensive modifications. They are big, strong, and durable, with modifications to make them more dangerous not necessarily being incentivized over just making relatively small (and thus much more rapid) alterations. Also we have to bear in mind that they were apparently deep ocean dwelling organisms, as such any modifications would have to at least maintain their ability to survive high pressures in an aquatic environment. Unlike human based Necromorphs who have basically no limit on form as long as it can support its own weight under standard atmospheric conditions.
I think I got a theory about the dividers. Do you remember the recorded voice of a guy who chopped off his own limps to prevent his necromorph killing his friends? I think dividers are those guys. Since the guy is not thrown around the limps remained very close to their original position and hence the limps are being attached again.
I really liked how the divider went: "its dividing time" and divided all over the Ishimura

@@nathanielnadeau6501what is the self? The body that is rotting or your thoughts getting implanted into brother moons and what ever is the mid point?
@northerntarantulas Yes but what is death? Is there an afterlife or is there simply nothing?
Because if you cease to exist as evolution promotes... than your consciousness does with you.
@@nathanielnadeau6501 well the marker could be recording your thoughts as it corrupts you?
Ahhh yes, that spine tingling howl.. the first time I encountered this still lives fresh, rent free in my mind.
Wish they utilized The Divider more. One of the most eerie Necromorphs.
That first slow couple steps around the corner followed by the noise as it starts stalking down the hall torwards you oh yeah it lives there
Roanoke's jokes are always 1000% on point!!! I love em
Easily one of my favorite creator's!! I would love to see you and wendigoon collaborate on something! Keep up the good work Roanoke, ive been watching for like 2 years and its been great to see you grow overtime.
WOOOOOOO my shift just started and i already have something to listen to 😎 thanks man!!
Have a good shift bro!
@RoanokeGaming shift just ended man. And dear God it was SO much eaiser starting it out with my favorite biologists bro there to kick it off!!! Thanks again bro 😎
I'm 100% with you on the head canon. I'm surprised that the last DLC didn't end that way.
Been watching Roanoke Tales alot, keep up the good work Broanoke Gainsings
love how you’re still making dead space videos
Yes! More Science with a hint of gaming! My type of video!
The perfect cover!
Always a good day when Roanoke uploads
correction though, no all the parts are from the same person. even in the model you can see the big toe for one of the feet is on the wrong side indicating it is likely sporting two left feet. this shouldnt be surprising since all matter is necrofied whether its a full corpse, some limbs, spilt blood, all of it. when they are, they are reconfigured to either be "creep" on the walls, floor and ceiling. or they pull a voltron and start waddling towards you at a slow pace to give you a big ol slap. and if you knock it apart? well, they had the ability to come together so its their last stand that they find their mobility as a chance to take down the resisting party. this is also more confirmed with isaacs kill cam when it replaces his head and starts to move in a odd form of puppeteering
Actually one of my favorite Necromorphs. Thanks Roanoke for covering it in detail!
Always loved these annoying lads, it's a shame they don't appear as much even tho they are quite the pain if you're not prepared. Glad to finally see a remade video on them !! Cheers from Brazil :>
Old school content. Haha, love it!
My guy, been listening on and off for years. You've inspired me to go back to college for a biology degree. Also, great video and I hope one day to see a video on the xenomorph from the alien series
The first Dead Space is still my favorite horror game since Silent Hill. I’ll never get tired of Roanoke doing videos on it. I really need to play the remake or remaster or whatever it’s really called because it looks awesome and I’m told there are several differences between it and the original
I was just talking about how you posted 4 days ago... Ah! You spoil us Roanoke...
Dividers were very John Carpenter, the most disturbing necromorph in my opinion
Gotta love the necromorph content. Fun editing this video too.
It's good to see you making Dead Space vids again. That's how I discovered this chanel 6 years ago👍🏾
roanoke love the videos man keep up the good work
Dude I've been binging your videos everyday for about a month or so and I cant get the phrases "activated his almonds" and "swelling in the meningies" out of my head haha. Love your channel and the the way your videos are set up!
FINALLY BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ALL DAY!
Duuude! Planet cracking a Brethern Moon just blew my mind! 😂 Amazing!
im from dead space necroposting and its good to know you are in it as well
Was literally waiting for this vid since you brought it up. 🥳
So the Indomitable Human Spirit is the reason the Marker created more necromorph types
Yes! Your original dead space videos are what got me into the channel first! 😂🎉
tuesday upload hell yea🎉
love the new editing style 👍
Very good content. My favorite
These things have always been my favorite enemy. Every playthrough I do, I have to let the head take me out because of the unique end you meet. It's not often that you get to see Isaac "Change teams" so it makes me quite sad that the remake actually has less dividers than the original.
I love the new format, feels like I get more science per ep!
Awesome video dude! I hope the next one is for the tardigrade monster from harbinger down!
It’s good to see a good old creature breakdown on ur channel keep it up Roanoke!
Love that you're still doing dead space stuff, thats how i originally found your channel years back !
Returning to the the roots of your channels I see classic dead space.
Great video as always! Thank you mate!
1:56 I wanna see you destroy a whole nest of ants without really tryin.
Pls make a video xD I promise you its gonna go viral
Roanoke's headcanon for Dead Space 4 would be even cooler if it turns out Isaac "facing his destiny" as the devs said include doing what orriginally started the series to begin with
Isaac repairs the Ishimura (that somehow still stands) for the purpose of cracking apart the Bretheren Moons
Circling back to the Ishumura to crack open a brethren moon is so metal, I love it!
Love the content sir!
damnn you smart. Your able to dig out and piece together so much info from this game and I love it.
Can’t wait to see the updated wheezer episode. The one i’ve been waiting on since the remake came out
It has been proven that pieces of the divider do act individually as you encounter pieces behind containers sometimes so one could say that the head is the hunter that gets the body mutilated by the slasher to create another divider so as it hunts, there are separate pieces all over making distractions for the slasher and other variants to capitalize. When there's a whole divider that could mean it was the most recent victim.
A quarter of the way into the video: "so today we'll be talking about..." gods I love this channel
YEAH BABY new Roanoke video just dropped
Hope you enjoy man!
@@RoanokeGaming Oh I definitely did
Always look forward to a Dead Space video from Roanoke. Nice job, sir!
Day felt like it was dragging here and this magnificent man uploads a dead space video👍
Hope you enjoy it brother :)
Heck yeah man! I've been waiting for this one. Good work with the dead space work. You could totally do a good video on the flood from halo. I think you'd like them considering your affinity for the necromorphs.
“Say the line Roanoke!”
“Starting with the feet…”
“I love this fella”
Yooo i just finished the remake and was wishing for more Roanoke vids on DS
We understand YT hates gory content but we love these ❤
I've watched almost every upload. You definitely influenced my passion for biology so thanks for that
Great vid! I’m guessing that Isaac’s body would possibly turn into a twitcher as he has the stasis module on and loaded.
They also apparently had many
It's also worth noting that the TV physiology seems better as an aggressive vector than human's with less extensive modifications.
"What are you doing Step- BrotherMoon" - Isaac probably
I'm proud of you for using that dreamy bull meme
"The pelvis is in a desiccated state" is a wild sentence that I will absolutely be using henceforth
Me, who has never played a single deadspace game: i just think these videos are neat
Pretty much
You know it’s funny I was literally just wondering when you get back to a game video lol love the content man but it’s nice to get back to the roots
I think I got a theory about the dividers.
Do you remember the recorded voice of a guy who chopped off his own limps to prevent his necromorph killing his friends?
I think dividers are those guys. Since the guy is not thrown around the limps remained very close to their original position and hence the limps are being attached again.
Husk parasite in Barotrauma might be a fun topic to cover.
