      I discovered the same thing, my mothers two sisters were very manipulative and controlling within the family. Even though my mother was an alcoholic my siblings and myself were also labeled the black sheep, I was the youngest and was conditioned to be the scapegoat so with that said you can imagine what treatment I got from everyone. This is a video that truely makes me very sad. Sad about the egoism that overwhelms the world now. The narcissism that takes over this world. The ignorance and shallowness of many people. I am very glad to say, that I have very good friends who are not like that. Since being self-employed with all the negative sides that also comes with it, I am glad to say that I only surround myself with good, real, genuine, empathetic people with a good aura and a heart made out of gold. Good, you cannot ask everything from a friend because you never know what experience is connected with the favour i.e. lending money etc. but overall, I know that my friends will always have an open ear for me and God knows, they had to listen to a lot within the last two years. In reverse, I will always be there for them too. I listen, carefully listen to their stories, I don´t interrupt and I wait and think before I come with an answer. Very good video, thank you for posting this. Got your Abo.

    Stoic philosophy reminds us of the importance of surrounding ourselves with genuine people who align with our values. 🌿 Recognizing these signs isn’t about judgment but about protecting our emotional well-being and fostering authentic connections. 💡 As Marcus Aurelius taught, we should seek relationships built on mutual respect and sincerity-anything less distracts us from living a virtuous and meaningful life. 🛡✨

    You have talked about how to uncover such behaviour, good points. What should be the next steps when dealing with such people? Do we just avoid or move on to another job?

    • @StoicTraining
      @StoicTraining  7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Great question! Once you've identified such behavior, the next step depends on the situation. If possible, set clear boundaries and minimize interactions. If the environment becomes toxic or unchangeable, moving on-whether to a new job or social circle-might be the best path for your well-being.

    I've had my heart broke in ministry this year......a couple came in our outreach with 7 kids I know God brought and fell in love with them all ...4 years now all of them have become my family......the kids spend night and I am grandma......they came broken...like me and were overcoming on fire for dad. Now a stepdad died.....in Detroit, where they ran from ...the kids had been taken away, big wrecker co...big money.....mom sucked them back in......left church....dads sister overdosed this week, I found out domestic violence happening.....and the kids r being kept from me..mama only texts awful things happening not change.....I have to let go.....I carry the message not the body......can't change anyone but self.....30 years this was a tough one cuz of children..I've seen and done ALOT and usually am ok letting life experience break in to bring em back to God......meanwhile every day forms the precious children to be the same........80% divorce in our country...generations now, in church too.....has produced a generation of young people so broken and dysfunctional they can't live in the world or have a good relationship. If we want change start at home....our leaders lead how they grew up and it looks like a dysfunctional mess that gets nothing done and has no morality, empathy, relational or healthy behavior

      Your heart and dedication to these children show your incredible strength and compassion. Letting go is never easy, especially when you care deeply, but trusting in God's plan and focusing on the message you carry is powerful. You're planting seeds of love and faith that may bear fruit in their lives later. Stay strong in your purpose, and thank you for making such an impact.

It might hurt again.. Different life behind of us told that were we all ready to be more friend for other person or self-centered wise for ourselve mostly.

      It's unfortunate when family relationships feel one-sided. Setting healthy boundaries can help, while also focusing your energy on those who genuinely value and reciprocate your efforts. You're not alone in experiencing this, and it's okay to prioritize your peace.
