He hid in Guam for 28 years...that's remarkable. I guess they told him that the war was over decades ago....it's okay to come out.

Shoichi Yokoi was afraid of dying and hid in the jungle. However, Hiro Onoda was fighting alone to fulfill his mission. There is a big difference here. Ent. Onoda's eyes were sharp and the eyes of a fighting warrior.

Onoda should be a war criminal.. he attacked police, attacked and killed peaceful civilians , over years he put mayhem, he attacked search parties looking for them. wasnt a hero. was a a stupid fool.
God himself could come down from the sky with angels to his side, and this idiot would shot at him thinking it was an enemy evil plan.

imagine if he has plan to surrender during the early years after war but decided to stay because he probably has shock on US Fighters Jets and Ships in Guam during the Hight of Cold war and Vietnam he probably saw them and thought the war still raging since US has base in Guam and nearby islands
