I feel that everything you commented today is the cause of my recent left knee pain! I’m confident that my saddle is the perfect height and set back because I only get pain in my left knee. One would therefore, assume cleat positioning to be the culprit but having watched hundreds on videos on cleat setup, I don’t think that’s the cause. You indeed might be correct that putting too much power through through the cranks - especially so considering I always stay in the big ring, might be the cause. I would also comment that my left foot is constantly pointing (recovery and power phase) when pedaling whereas my right foot is always flat. I’m at a loss as to what more I can do so more often than I’ll just accept the pain.

I felt the same way..It was frustrating I thought I might have to give up bicycle riding. My knee was not aligned properly when I was I peddled on the bike. I had no idea that was my problem until I went to see Dr. Keri, a sports therapist. With a series of exercises I am free of pain now. It was really worth the money to see a qualified sports therapist. I hope you heal. ❤️‍🩹🚵

I am not an expert I just get expert advice. I can only speak from my experience and once I got a professional bike fit my knee pain went away. I have a video that I will be posting soon about Bike fitting. I hope this helps.
