Best one so far. An actual honest humble guy that didn’t talk about how good he is the whole time. His just have fun attitude is what we all need to live by, because no one’s cares after your gone. Great interview

Love me some Tony Peterson. Honestly, he’s been on the perimeter of MeatEater for a long time…great to see SR/ME highlighting and empowering him…truly intelligent hunter/angler/outdoorsman.

To Tony’s discipline comment. Motivation isn’t an emotion it’s a decision. I think a lot of people forget this.

Great interview and insights. I am gonna drag my wife out into the swamp with me tomorrow in order to get a clearer picture of some public land. Thanks for the motivation and the fine content. Good luck this fall.

A good question for these guys would be.. What is your biggest obstacle in trying to kill giant bucks?

I have listened to the podcast since u were one of the only whitetail podcasts. But I find myself listening to the newer podcasts cause this one has turned into an infomercial. Genuinely wish u the best

Blaming personal outcomes on something or someone else is a victim mindset. Victims need a listening ear of someone who will prove, justify, and agree with their victim state. They also need a persecutor that imposes its will on the victim, such as the DNR, lack of opportunity on public land, too many hunters, etc. The victim says: "If it wasn't for this, then I would be successful, and I have a lot of people who agree with me." DRAMA! YIKES! Meanwhile, people are getting out there, putting in the work, and figuring it out year after year. EMPOWERED! YEA! This is true in deer hunting and every aspect of life. Convert the victim to the creator; the shoulders you can cry on to the coach and the persecutor to the challenger to make you better. Better is better, and better leads to betterment that no one can take away. There is no fulfillment in being the victim, and it comes with all the justification one can conjure. It sucks way more to live with the difficulty without fulfillment than living through the difficulty to reach personal fulfillment. The difficulty is there either way. Mental toughness is to make the difficulty pay. Take Account-ability and Response-Ability....take on the ability to take account and the ability to respond. Best doesn't exist....just better and better. Momentum toward any endeavor is created moment by moment.
