- Hey everybody! Today I am reacting to Lynyrd Skynyrd's version of "Call Me The Breeze" live at Knebworth 1976. What an outstanding performance!
The song was originally written and recorded by JJ Cale.

Weren’t they simply phenomenal?! They’re my favorite.
They were amazing!!
Stevie Gaines was exactly what flavor that band needed and boys he was just absolutely good beyond measure.
Absolutely!!
Ronnie didn’t wear shoes because he said “I want to feel the stage burn”.
The best live band ever
Yes!
Whoever their sound engineer was, the man knew his shit. You can hear each instrument clearly, and this was live, back in '76, going on 50 years ago.
Yes!!
Thx for your review! Best band ever. 👍🎉♥️
There is no reason that there was no camera on Billy Powell. No reason at all. Amazing song. Amazing band. It doesn't get any better than this!
Absolutely!!
At that time there wasn't a band on the planet that could follow them .. The Stones sure found that out
Yes!
I believe we'd be talking about Steve as one of the greatest guitarists of all time if he'd lived longer.
I agree 100%
Absolute Facts 👌
70's and live.. Skynyrd and Elvis The best
Steve was a fantastic find for this band.
They are my favorite band ever. The 🎸 army. You could definitely see like a change in direction with the SS album with Steve and man it was good. Oh, what could have been.
Absolutely 🎸❤️
Pay very close attention Kiddos because this is what you call Rock N Roll at it's best and played by the best !
Absolutely!
One of the all time greats! When they added Steve Gaines it was just over the top. Tight baby, plus I'm a BAMA girl, born and raised
Yes!! That's amazing ☺️
@johngibsonmusic it's funny because I wrote it before I listened to your reaction and our reactions were similar.

SO glad to see a LS Knebworth reaction! I always tell people that they need to watch this particular concert as it's one of the best videos of them live I have ever seen. No question that LS was not only just as good live as they were in the studio, I believe they were even better. Pure talent.
Absolutely! Live, they were a force of nature.
@@johngibsonmusic This is The Best version of Call me the Breeze that they done in my opinion . I saw Skynyrd in 96 in Riverbend Cincinnati Ohio and I saw them again in 2012 I'm my home state of Kentucky and they were in Pikeville Kentucky . So glad I got to see Leon In 96 as well as Billy Powell .
We call it southern rock❤
On The Hunt - Winterland 1975
Love it! Will do a reaction/review 😊
Missed seeing Billy Powell playing the piano. There is a clip from another concert that shows Billy while he is playing. One of my favorite Skynard (cover) songs!
Great to hear it today. Thanks!
Mine too! What a great version.
Greatest American Band. They will live on forever
Absolutely!!
This is one of my uncle who passed away group that he liked she liked watch CCR which is clearance Clearwater he even liked ACDC
I totally agree about Steve Gaines
My favorite
was a huge hit for them now that is ROCK AND ROLL WITH A great backbeat guitar bass whole package makes me want to start smokin pot again hahahaha
I love your knowledge of the band and sadly in 1977 Lynyrd Skynyrd died.
Thank you! Yeah, Skynyrd died in 77.
Steve definitely made them better . Steve and cassie are from my hometown !!
Wow that's amazing!!
I saw them several times back in early 70’s. Excellent they were! Yesss. You always have the best reactions John. Oh and by the way, you and your band play a fantastic version of this song John. I love your singing, guitar playing and band. 😊
Wow! Amazing that you saw the original line up live.
Thank you very much! 😊
I agree, Steve Gaines did up every body s game, that happens any time you bring in a new member of that calliper, it's just something natural that happens
absolutely!

🙏😊❤️ Obrigado!
Hi John! I'm surprised that you haven't yet done a reaction to the legendary Rory Gallagher! Can you please do a reaction to the outstanding "Tattoo'd Lady" from the 1979 Rockpalast performance? Rory made that Strat sing! Thanks so much!
I have to!! Love Rory.
ASS KICKING SOUTHERN ROCK!!!!!!!!!!
YES!
To me Pronounced Lynyrd Skynyrd and Second Helping were way better works of art than Street Survivors though. Steve Gaines was amazing but playing stuff off the first two albums. Opinions?
First two albums were great! Hard to have a favorite. Big fan of Street Survivors and OMFTR.
Steve Gaines is a talent that would have only grown. He was absolutely electric, the whole package
Absolutely!
always do the original authentic album original as it was meant to be heard NOT NOT NOT some attempt to do a different version with COMPLETELY INFERIOR SOUND THAN THE ORIGINAL THAT MADE IT FAMOUS IN THE FIRST PLACE why not hear why the song was famous =the original
I prefer the live version with Gaines on 3rd guitar.
RIP Gary Rossington
