      @q3b26 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's just a trim level now, nothing like the old GSi hot hatches. It's a bit like Ford's ST-Line, just a bodykit.

    • @AceEyedAce

      @@q3b26 I can agree with that, although Vauxhall have made some good tweaks to the driving set up for this car. So it's not JUST a trim level, but I do understand what you mean

    Why is Vauxhall marketing this as it’s new launch since psa took over, wagon/estate cars make up the second smallest categories car owners choose the biggest being a/b and suv so this seems a crazy choice to renew their fortunes

    • @benrgrogan
      @benrgrogan 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The insignia had already been designed before PSA took over. It was an inherited design. Besides the insignia has always been one of Vauxhall few profitable models so it would make sense that it would be replaced despite the shrinking segment.

      Lol. The good old time of GM with 1 billion dollar deficit each year since 19 years ... what a stupid comment. Even the germans are happy with PSA because they are free to build the new opel like they want and full electric for'the next opel . The german engineers are free again to bring their knowledge for a new opel modern

      stephen10 who cares about deficit? General Motors paid it. And they can’t build the cool cars anymore, because PSA is boring. The Corsa OPC is gone, there is no new Astra and Insignia OPC and we don’t get the GT. Opels were sold as Buick, Chevrolet and Holden all over the world. Now they are boring and have to build on bad PSA platforms.

    When this car came out I thought Opel had a winner. Then I visited a dealership to see what it was like.
    Squeaks and rattles coming from EVERYWHERE. This is anything BUT well built.

    • @patriotbarrow
      @patriotbarrow 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It's an acronym. Acronyms are pronounced the way each individual letter is pronounced, were you to one in an alphabet. So, transcribing the English pronunciation into Romanian, we get "es iu vi", because that's how you pronounce the letters S U and V.

      No. Estate cars are more akin to elongated hatchbacks. Minivans have different proportions, usually being taller, family oriented, and sometimes having the engine partially tucked under the dashboard (as is the case with Citroen's Picasso series and VW's older Touran)

      Cleo is right, it is a Buick. Buick had nothing to do with Insignia/Regal development, it was developed by Opel, but it is a Buick because its GM property and Opel is no longer part of GM. Next year we'll probably see new Insignia without GM parts based on PSA platform. I do hope new one will have similar design.
