  • So not a lot has changed with the new Insignia? However, was the design already good enough? I wonder if we will see another Insignia in the future and if so, it will be interesting to see what the PSA group change about the design.
    To get a great deal on the Vauxhall Insigina then contact Quest motor group here and mention ‘Auto social UK’ for a special offer: www.questmotorgroup.co.uk/vau...
    I work for Quest motor group but reviews are conducted in my own time and all views are my own.

    I’ve had my 2020 Vx Line 2.0 diesel for 6 months now and it’s outstanding, I’ve driven Vauxhall’s for 40 years but I’d say this is my favourite to date , and I’ve had some brilliant cars in the past

    I am keeping my much cheaper 2010 Insignia. These new generation insignias are very beautiful, but unfortunately can't afford to buy one. A massive plus on the new generation Insignia however, is the generous back headroom allowance massively lacking in the older insignias.

    Get over the large touch screens.3.36. They pop up or actually impede front vision and having all controls in them will cause plenty of issues when there's a glitch or malfunction,requiring software updates, which don't always go to plan either.

    I've always hated Opel/Vauxhalls purely for the badge and the stereotypes the drivers have. I went on a business trip recently and was given a FL Insignia like this one - I was blown away about how good the car feels and how it drives. It definitely changed my perception on the brand. Would I buy a Vauxhall? No, they still need to work on brand perception and residual values.

    • @minorearthmajorsky1476

      The new mokka is meant to change the band perception, tbh they’ve tried the band perception thing for years, the original 2008 insignia and the vx220

    • @th-l8936
      @th-l8936 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@minorearthmajorsky1476 Ye this is the true, unfortunately all attempts have failed. I doubt the new Mokka will do just that - the new Corsa is a fantastic car, but I know so many who wouldn't buy purely based on the stereotypes of the Corsa nameplate and the poor residual values, and unfortunately I'd have to agree with them

    • @SpeedKingHighwayStar
      @SpeedKingHighwayStar 3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      @@th-l8936 You say that having driven the Insignia you're blown away by how good the car feels and how it drives. And then you say you're put off by other people's perception - you should go by your own perception not other people's errant misconceptions. A neighbour that is a fleet car manager of various brands including Audi and Volvo has told me for years that Vauxhall reliability matches and often exceeds other brands, he himself chooses to drive... an Insignia. I drove company cars including Mondeos and VW Passats. The last Mondeo I had gave me a sore back on long and even medium distances e.g. after only 40 miles. A 300 miles each way trip was a nightmare, had to keep stopping. I changed to an Insignia and bingo, no more back problem and could drive 300 miles without a stop arriving fresh and relaxed. I also drove it for 120,000 miles with no faults - none at all. The only thing it needed on first MoT at 100k miles was a new front number plate. Its all in the mind, forget what others mistakenly assume. On residual values, buy "nearly new" and save a fortune, from there the values hold up well and you have a car that is up to the job, its just a lump of metal as all cars are, forget the snobbery.

      I had a 2008 Astra 1.8 petrol that had a hard life with me. I hardly ever serviced it. Ran it on a dirty cone air filter for years and ragged it senseless. Had it for 6 years and it’s still on the road now. I have had 65 Rev insignia elite for 2 years now with 75k on and it’s never missed a beat. Also had 2 BMWs which were always in the garage. Vauxhall’s ain’t that bad. You always get bad cars no matter what the manufacturer

    Wow this car is still as dull as ever, still looks like a rep mobile and nothing about that’s interesting or would make you choose this over anything else. Big Vauxhall’s are a dreadful buy new as they just loose so much money on the used market.
