Just noticed Google Maps completely redesigned the "add road" user interface, last time I checked (April 2024) it was the old one introduced years ago that forced you to choose what type of road it was, but now the whole UI is new and adds more steps to do the same thing (Gotta say it's more frustrating and slow to use). I'm an avid reader of Google news websites and I'm surprised nobody has talked about this yet, I found it by myself. Not in beta. They also redesigned the emails they send you about your map contributions with more visuals and information about the status of your map changes
In some TH-cam videos, when I keep pressed the screen to speed 2x, a red button appears in the bottom right corner to skip the intro of the video, like Netflix.
I'm noticing better processing in gcam 9.6 on my 8 pro. When I used to take the picture of the moon or dark sky or anything lowlight with alot of contrast, the dark parts were very grainy with alot of color noise, I can't seem to replicate that issue after this update.
Same, I'm using Pixel 6. I tried updating the play store to the version he had but my play store said i was on the latest update. So most of the apps he had here are not the same version I had because of having the play store itself to be not at the latest version.
I noticed in the new Google Photo update, when I try to search for something, I doesn't give me the pin point result as the older version. Eg: I took a picture a while ago at work with some unique words on it which I refer back to from time to time at my job, before, I used to type that keyword in search at it would find me that exact picture. Now, with the update, that same unique keyword does not find the picture but it gives "Best Matches" of random pics in my gallery none of which is the actual pic I'm looking for.
I'm using Pixel 6. I tried updating the play store to the version he had but my play store said i was on the latest update. So most of the apps he had here are not the same version I had because of having the play store itself to be not at the latest version.
0:50 google photos on a pixel device by google, running a google custom chip just for the pixel, 2024, flagship expensive pixel phone, running android by google… you said it used to do a weird flash for the info section, well talking about smooth, what was that huge jitter/lag during the opening of the view info animation. this a fully google everything. If they can’t get it to not lag, what are they expecting from non billion dollar developers with no control over the hardware or the os.
@indepthtechreviews can you please fix your wallpaper app or add an option to add the wallpaper with Google photos. Whenever I add a wallpaper it shifts it to the right and the wallpaper is never centered. We have the same phones and I don't know how you get yours to center unless you're swiping left to the third empty spot on your phone. It's so annoying. It makes me not want to use your wallpaper app. And it's pretty good. But that part is so disappointing. 🤔
To center the wallpaper once you set it from the app, go to the wallpaper & style app then tap on the wallpaper preview, it will take you to the another screen showing the home and lock screens floating tap again on any of them and adjust the position the way you want then hit the tick button and set the wallpaper

what happened to my google photos??? i am using pixxel 8 pro and i have none of the feature of the photos app mentioned in this video and your previous video. i also dont have many other features of other apps like the new weather app. is something wrong with my phone!!! I am so frustrated.

8:25 0.25x increments was there from ages ago. With the new update it will be 0.05x increments

New mini player in youtube is a good. But the old style of swipe and close was the easiest. Still miss that

I agree, I did notice better HDR in morning photos as well, but it's hard to prove
