I have become obsessed with Buck Knives particularly the 110's and 112's. The Spitfire is great especially for the money. Thanks for checking the video out!!!
It's not bad for a budget Made in the USA knife. I just got a Buck Sprint Select and so far I like the Spitfire better. Thanks for checking the video out!!
Yea, that's the biggest con about it. I've never used or sharpened a blade with a recurve. Guess it's good that it's only $38. Thanks for checking the video out!!!
@@factorsofjack I have both the s35vn and 420hc version. Spent HOURS on the s35vn with a diamond 1x4" to grind the recurve out and make it flat.. Been amazing since! Nice and easy to sharpen! Not sure why they made it a recurve
@@factorsofjack I really didn't like recurves much until I bought a Benchmade Grizzly Ridge. I really enjoy using it because it just pulls in rope, straps etc. Great Video.✌
@@markherrera829 I have always liked the looks of the Grizzly Ridge but have stayed away from it because of the recurve. I have no experience with recurve so I'd definitely have to try and sharpen the Buck before I spend Benchmade money. Thanks for checking the video out!!!
How does Paul Bos get so much edge retention from less that desirable 420hc blade stock? In real world testing Bos 420hc is actually as good or better than 440c that should be happening. Sometimes I wonder if the 420hc Buck gets their hands on has added carbon in it. And together with the Paul Bos legendary heat treat it just works! Somebody recently did some testing on bucks s30v Paul boss heat treatment verse benchmade s30v and thay were about equal. So for whatever reason his heat treatment seems to get the most out of 420hc milking it for everything it has but doesn't really gain anything on s30v for some reason. I would bet the farm that Benchmade can't get the same performance out of 420hc as Buck if they wanted to. I am really interested to see what would happen with a Paul bos heat treatment on 10cr15comov or AUS-10. l feel those two steals would likely gain a advantage with one of his heat treatments👍.
I don't know how it works. Most my limited experience with Bucks 420hc and Bos hear treatment is with the 110 Slim Select. It's still on the factory edge and as sharp as out of the box. My s30v 110 Sport is holding up great after 3 or so weeks. It's at least comparable to my Benchmades and Spydercos s30v. I haven't really used the Spitfire yet been carrying the 110 Sport. Thanks for checking the video out!!
@@factorsofjack I turns out I might have been wrong on Bucks s30v, it might be holding an edge longer than benchmades. I just found another older video of someone testing it against benchmades s30v and it actually out performs Benchmade's s30v by a good amount (70 more rope cuts) over the benchmade. If you are interested in watching the test it's on that guys channel it's called (Cedric & Ada Gear and Outdoors). It's way back on his video list from about 3 years ago. In the future maybe you can tell us if their is a noticeable difference between Bucks s30v and Benchmades s30v, l for one would be interested👍. But admittedly I'm fascinated with Paul Bos heat treatments. Bills Mafia💪 🏈 Go Bills!
Great littleknife! I own over 60 Buck knives and this is in my Top 3!🤘
It's great for being US made at the price. Thanks for checking the video out!!!
A pretty cool little knife! I could see that being a good edc blade. plus made in America at a great price. Great video Jack 👍
It's not too bad at all. I like it better than the Sprint Select I just got. Thanks for checking the video out!!!!
Great video.
I bought one of these online. It will be here soon. Can't wait
Thanks!! Hope you like it. I enjoy mine. Thanks for checking the video out!!!
That is a good looking knife, even though its orange, I'd like to have alone in black
I like the orange but it does look good in black. Thanks for checking it out!!
I have one and love it. Hard to go wrong with a Buck. Say hi to the cat for me. Lol.

Just started watching this knife. Hopefully it will go on sale sometime. Thanks 👊

Like Flip Flat mentioned, I would really like to see what Buck could do with 10CR.
I haven't tried 10cr yet. I want to test it out.
Cool looking knife. Just wish the blade wasn't a recurve.. will probably pick one up anyways. Thanks for sharing !!!👍👍

Return it…just got mine it’s rock solid stiff the good way. 👍🏼
It's so slight I'm not to worried about it.

I might have seen that one. Outpost 76 did one with Bucks 420HC BOS vs. Chinese 420HC. Bucks came out way ahead.
@@factorsofjack Yes I love watching Outpost 76 also, he does the cardboard cutting testing and Cedric & Ada do the rope cutting testing 👍.

I would buy one if they were still in the $30 range.

Nice, how do you like it?

Sharp looking Buck. Amazon says it can not be shipped to my State. I'm in NY. There is nothing illegal about that knife here. 🤦
Im in NYS too.. Nothing illegal at all it's just Amazon being stupid. They wont send any knife to NY with thumbstuds, deployment hole or a flipper.
