I use one and like it. I put a thin bit of strong double sided tape on the bit where your index finger go's as i got dystonia in the right hand and my finger twitches driving me crazy and it works pretty well.
Rob Covello I hear you Rob. I've been using a Dunlop Flow 1.5mm and it's a reasonably sized pick and even when i back it out of the clip there's little left to pick with. I end up getting tons of harmonics when i don't want them! If i lighten up my attack i can play but if you dig in heavy it's hard to get clean sounds. Ah well i might end up just putting up with my hand problems and going with a normal pick. Can't make up my mind because i think using the clip could end up giving you better technique due to lightening up your attack.
😂 Similar thing happened to me. My nail started to split. No matter what I did to avoid worsening it, it kept getting worse. I ended up using some of my wife’s clear nail polish & applied it on fairly thick (layers). It helped. It protected the split & my nail grew out enough that I could cut out the split potion & continues as usual.

2:03 It's amazing how muscle memory, neurons in the brain and biology works. Years of habit and within 1 week that habit felt strange. This proves how fast our body adopts to new situations and that we can learn/aquire any skill through repeated practice.
Reminds me a bit of the Tosin Abasi thumb technique he uses it for tapping and pulloffs. If you haven't seen him play, check his technique out. That's super cool that you are able to adapt after a substantial play ending accident, and found a suitable replacement by accident.

I can play almost as fast as you in straight scales so I'm happy with them, even if my dexterity is still a long way from being where I want it.

Yes, it sounds smoother than picks and we totally don't want this for most of the metal genres but sometimes i might struggle when string transitioning and i am curious about should i exercise with my nails or that would be waste of time? They're good but only really work with normal sized picks. Jazz III picks don't work well with it.
