I’m in love with this series! I was recently in the National Geography Bee School level competition and I got second place. I am really trying to get first place next year to get into the state competition, so I have watched almost all of your Countries A-Z videos. They are so informative but I think you should talk more about how life is for the people in that country. Like is their life good or is life in this country bad and are most people poor or rich and middle class? I feel like it would help us understand the country even better than before. It’s just an idea 🤷🏻♀️ but I think it would add some more useful information in your videos even though they are great and helpful either way 😊👍
Purple Groundhog you should definitely go I’ve been there for about 3 years and well at first you might say that it isn’t the place for you but you’ll get the hang of it once you settle in.
I had a blast there, so much to do, great museums and alot of great people. all though it is a huge city so alot of polution and some violence and you might get ripped off when buying stuff if you're white.
As Indonesian, I don't know much about Laos, but thanks to this channel, now I know basically we the SEA people are so similar, food and traditions too. Cool!
I'm from Laos. Thank you for doing a well research, pretty accurate. Not many people know about Laos. However, for your information modern Lao people mostly use English not French anymore. We are friendly people. We seem to be a good friends with many countries. That's why Laos gets opportunity to hold many important meetings.

I've been traveling in Laos back in the year 2000 and I really loved it. Laos has the friendliest people on earth, a still vibrant ancient Buddhist culture unspoilt by mass tourism as well as some breathtaking landscapes on offer. I'm not engaged in the Laos tourist marketing sector, I'm just honest. If you like to go to South East Asia and if you think Thailand is way too touristy, try Laos.
My grandfather was Laos' only licensed civil engineer for a couple decades before the 1980s. We were expelled in the late 70s though and are planning to come visit soon. I may teach English there.
I think we need some clarification on the whole pronunciation thing. Every English dictionary I've checked says Laos is pronounced "lah-ohs" in American or "lei-ous" in British. If the Laotians themselves pronounce their own nation's name "lao," that's good to know, and it seems silly for us not to do so also given how close we already are to doing that, but by the same token we're also very close to pronouncing Denmark the way the Danes do ("danmark"), yet I'm pretty sure we're not actually going to start doing that. And forget about pronouncing Germany as "doichland." There's also situations such as half of Belgium saying "belgie" and the other "belgique." Which would we choose if we don't stick with "belgium"? I just think we need some sort of consistent standard to follow before we start saying that we've been pronouncing Laos wrong all this time.

That's okay. Same with Mexico, don't know much about their neighbors either. Both Filipinos and Mexicans are very (a lot of times unnecessarily) nationalistic.
Haha. This guy is hilarious. My geography/history classes would have been awesome had he been my teacher. Will be travelling to Laos by the end of Jan! Stoked!
I’m soooo glad I stumbled on your video. Thank you for sharing your knowledge 🙏 People don’t know enough about Laos. Beautiful country ❤️
Love the name 😂 If someone introduced themselves to me with that name, that would be a total social and cultural ice breaker.
@@kefler187 lol! 100% conversation starter!
@@CookingWithKhonKhao Without any accent markers, that can also be read as "stirring rice" and "people going in" 😆
Obviously your name gives enough context to know what is meant by it though.
@@kefler187 accent marks are not very searchable on TH-cam. Haha. Hopefully my Lao followers know what I mean.
It’s just an idea 🤷🏻♀️ but I think it would add some more useful information in your videos even though they are great and helpful either way 😊👍
I love Laos from the Philippines. 🇵🇭😊
5:11 that made me laugh the hardest I've laughed during one of your videos.
ikr lol
Laos 🇱🇦 love this Chanel
Does anyone have experience traveling to Mexico City? What was your experience like? I’m planning a trip for next fall.
Purple Groundhog i was there this winter but i stayed just 4 hours because of a plane connection.
Purple Groundhog you should definitely go I’ve been there for about 3 years and well at first you might say that it isn’t the place for you but you’ll get the hang of it once you settle in.
Mexico City is incredible!! Message me if you have any questions!
TrinityDynamo 1 I don't think he's there for 4 years
I had a blast there, so much to do, great museums and alot of great people. all though it is a huge city so alot of polution and some violence and you might get ripped off when buying stuff if you're white.
Negeri Laos sangat indah dan orangnya juga sangat ramah. Salam dari Indonesia. Semoga semua sahabat di Laos sehat selalu.

As Indonesian, I don't know much about Laos, but thanks to this channel, now I know basically we the SEA people are so similar, food and traditions too. Cool!
I am from Kazakhstan, Loas is a great country!
2019. Love Laos from Vietnam
Manilay Vanphavong But it’s still part of La Francophonie, just like Vietnam and Cambodia
9:25 The picture on the left is General Vo Nguyen Giap and Vietminh army in 1944, not Laotian army.
Ps: Love to our Laotian brothers from Vietnam.
Wow Lao is a beautiful country. I wanna visit someday 🤩. Love from Myanmar 🇲🇲🇲🇲.
how is life in Myanmar? im afraid to visit.
@@mallinalii the military bombed thousands of villages, killed thousands of people and arrested more than 12k people. they are definitely killing the ethnic groups such as the chins, rakhine, etc. i wouldnt go. fyi im from myanmar myself, with ethnic chin background.
@@gilnahnu this is why i am afraid. thank you for telling this. what a big crime. what can we do?
how is life in Myanmar these days?
@@epicgamer748 it's pretty tough situation. Most of the youth join with the anti-military army, people defence force against military government. Some go for a new life in outside of this border.
Sabaidee =hello from Laos
First Kirabati = Kirabahs
Next Laos = Lao
What next? America = 'Murica
love Laos thanks for you
I think we need some clarification on the whole pronunciation thing.
From Chinese to French and to Lao. A progress in language. The country of the peacock bird a must in interior design.
