Reply black heart bev from Denise f i e l d s hi happy Saturday to you you know I just finished reading a comment that was dated quite some time ago when we go to the point or sisters and the song slow hand I don't know if you ever received a return reply or not because of when this was dated and just trickled down to me but it's okay cuz I will reply anyway. Yes I do feel that you were so right on when you comment in regards to the female group I agree with you 100%. They won't afraid to get out there and do different types of songs some people feel that they were when should I say we're not giving their proper dues but I don't feel that way simply because anytime you receive a Grammy for writing a country song and you have to be women of color in the 80s and they also performed in the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville again women of color and then one year they received an award for best videos and of course unfortunately they had tragic they lost their baby sister June and they lost Bonnie I believe Bonnie with the oldest so these women were out there on their job and people recognize them for who they were. I remember when I was a kid and my mother called me to the television hurry quick and I saw these women dancing and singing in these big floppy hats dresses too big and didn't fit joy that didn't match you know it was fake in other words they love the worst of worst but whoever thought about marketing them that way and them getting out there doing their thing paid off big time I was watching an interview with one of the sisters and she had said that's not how they wanted it to be that's not how they wanted to start out looking she said the only reason why they went out that way was because they didn't have the money to look like they really wanted to look and so they just did what they had to do and fortunately enough it worked they got over people loved them and the rest is history they started out in Arkansas moved to Oakland California is where the beginning of their career all came together and unfortunately the baby June was the one that I identified with the most because she was the youngest and she was just so crazy to get out there and do anything and when I found out that she had passed of cancer at UCLA medical center in the state of California I was like wow it's hard for me to believe. However I would like to thank you so very much for being a listener to the station and anytime you feel like comedy please feel free to do so and I will definitely get back in contact with you okay so I'm going to try to enjoy my Saturday I've been enjoying it all day because I've been answering comments from other people and now I'm down to you so take care peace and love thank you 😀♥️😊👁️🍒😲🩰💦🎶👄😘💜💕🔥🔥🔥💅.

I'm a white guy who has a crush on June. But I certainly find every one of them so very beautiful and talented in their own right. ☺️ It's hard to believe that Ruth is almost 80! Always beautiful!
Pointer Sisters are the best group ever. Every sister can sing lead, and cover almost every genre.
True
I saw them live at Blossom Music Center from the 3rd row at their commercial peak in 1985, just after I turned twenty years old. Went alone, friends bailed - had way more fun alone, best show EVER. And as you said they did ever genre to perfection.
Elles ont tout, elles peuvent tout faire, tout chanté
Absolutely. June sang lead on my favorite Pointers Sisters song: “Jump.”
This song will never die. 2020 who's listening
The best a love it .
Sooo me
Good music will live on!
I am listening to this classic song in 2020.
Im still listening
I love this song because it sends a message to men. It seems to me that was what The Pointers were trying to do. God Bless their hearts and foresight for that.

When this song came out my husband and I were traveling across Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas. They constantly played this song. Slow hand ✋️
Boy I Love Me Some Pointer Sisters ❤So many Hits
When this came out I was 17 years old, and I totally fell in love with Anita. I think I might've been the only white guy at my school who had a crush on her. I met a beautiful girl who looked a lot like Anita we've been married for 31 years now have 3 grown children. She still loves my slow hand.
love this
I'm a white guy who has a crush on June. But I certainly find every one of them so very beautiful and talented in their own right. ☺️ It's hard to believe that Ruth is almost 80! My goodness how time just flies, just yesterday I was watching them sing Automatic on Soul Train, and June had these beautiful silky smooth legs that just went on for MILES!!! It's such a SHAME that she's no longer with us! ...just heartbreaking.💔😢 RIP Sweet Precious Bonnie and June!
Aww I love your story.
Real man right here folks..
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Man she had a lovely voice.
Hermosa canción 😍 ❤️ 😢!..
ONE OF THE BEST COUNTRY SONG’S OF THE 80’s and no one cared what color they were.

When the Music is as good as this, Most people Still don't care. 😊
Que les années 80 étaient douces heureuses… ces 3 sœurs ont tout simplement la classe de ces femmes de cette époque…. Rien à ajouter si ce n’est THANK YOU LADIES
R.I.P. MS Anita Pointer & My Condolences to the Family 🙏
This song could sound so wrong if sung by just anybody, but if it’s the Pointer Sisters, wow 🎉❤ the lyrics sound so soulful when sung like this. Amazing 🤩
It’s not about how old are you or the song, it is about the way it speaks to your soul - the music, the words and the soul the singers put in ❤❤❤
This is one of my favorite songs I can listen to it over and over and over again I love it
the pointer sisters need to be in the rock and roll hall of fame they have excelled at all genres of music, pop, rock, country, r/b and dance
Jesus, music was so much better then. This song = nostalgia

Una Joya del ayer que yego para quedarse Hermosa música del Recuerdo
Baby Ms. Anita lead this song like a champ, omg her voice is soo beautiful. I bet she could effortlessly sing a country song, and it go. I remember my mom and aunt's singing this song when I was growing up, it just take you back to a place in time where you just had to be there to get it.
No nakedness no auto tune no obscene language just pure talent
U said that right ❤️
Nicely stated RJ 🤚 💯
Love these gals
They are THAT good...
You spoke the truth Rachel John, the truth.
These lovely sisters were flawless, amazing vocalists. Their harmonizing was on point and they presented themselves with a sexy elegance. I'm hard pressed to name a modern day equivalent. They were undoubtedly in a class of their own.
I no big
The BEST and most accurate review of The Pointer Sisters I've ever read.
💯💖💖💖
Class rarely exists these days
Agree
Just heard Anita Pointer died on Dec 31st, New Year Eve. Is she the lead singer in this video, anyone? May she RIP. Big fan of their music back in the day.
Everybody will love a man with an easy, smooth , slow, romantic touch.
Are there any left?
@@michellebilodeau3882 ofc! Their r still a lot of gentleman out there who do have those qualities! I think so although I’m not looking! I hope that every woman find that special someone!
So why are they chasing heartless and emotionally stunned, macho men? I would appreciate seeing your point of view. It seems to me that women are conflicted in their desires, per your comment and my observations
@@mariuszwiesiolek9340 oh gosh! I don’t know who u r but u know it’s not all women r like that but we all pay 4 what others do! It’s not fair to both men & women but in my heart their r a lot of good men & women out there, just like everything else, their is the good & the bad & I will never judge people, never, I was well taught & brought up & if I can’t say anything good that’s means to shut up. My parents would of whoop my ass, meaning a good beating.
These ladies are timeless, they picked and made great Jams 🥰👌👌
We certainly will miss Anita God bless her be with her family and comfort them Lord in Jesus name amen
CAN'T GET ANY BETTER THEN THIS!
I remember when this song first came out. A song for women finally, saying what women wanted instead of what men wanted. So many years ago, 1981. The lyrics are quite poetic.
